Did he start up another account and file a hacking report? If he didn't, then you can help by telling him that and donating any extra gold that you may have if you want. It may take a while, but if your friend fills out a hacking report and just waits patiently, he will get his stuff back. ^_^ Hope everything turns out well.

I got hacked. It wasn't fun. I filed a report and Still nothing came of it and that was 2 years ago. I already had this account but it had nothing. I had to completely rebuild. It's tough.
