church attendance

My Bible Study touched on this last week and I felt like sharing.


My leader asked us the question, "how often do we go to church with the mind set of, 'what am I going to learn today?' or 'what do you have for me today, God?'".
Then she said that instead, we should be thinking, "God, how are You going to use me today?" or "Who do You want me to talk to today?" or "How are You going to lead me today?"

Instead of thinking about ourselves and what God could do for us, she posed that we should be thinking about God and what we could do for Him.

But seriously, I love your insight. Our relationship with Christ is more than just what he gives us - it's about what we give back as well. This applies to prayer, churchgoing, and everyday life too.

God doesn't give us blessings all the time, but more often He gives us the /opportunity/ to enrich our lives and the lives of others.
