Before i post this, i know many of you will most likely disagree with me. but this is a subject that has been on my mind for the longest time, and the more i think about it, the more trapped and frustrated i feel.

The older generations have pretty much screwed everything up. Face it, the world SUCKS. before we were even born. and i keep hearing people say how OUR generation is the one to fix things. Well that's cool, but how are we supposed to fix or change anything if the older generation keeps holding us down? their inability to accept change has hindered us. Granted we are still young, we still know much. We are well versed in the bible and well along our walks with God. We each have a gift of the spirit that we carry and use with pride and discernment. We are a vital part of the body of Christ, yet they ignore us, refuse to listen to our ideas, exclude us from decisions making, and say its all in our best interest. right, now you just said in your sermon that I (my generation) needs to step up to the plate and start fixing things. So are you just saying that cuz it sounds cool, or are you gonna step aside, let us start fixing things with the help of God and be there to fulfill the role as an elder. Not to TELL us what to do, but to suggest and help guide WITH GOD AS THE LEADER as to the decisions we should make? i feel so trapped because there are so many things i see wrong, and i know how to fix, and i want to explain it, get in with the decision making, help make this world a better place. but they wont let me. or you. we're left to scream inside and hold our tongues while they just screw up even more. its infuriating to think that they're trying to keep us in line to follow in their footsteps, make the same mistakes they've made, and just repeat history. The time of repeating history has come to an end people. Its time to rise up and make a difference. How can anything get better if we just follow suit? As good as a rebellion sounds; violence will solve nothing because that just makes us like them. And a revolution sounds fantastic but these men and women in power today forbid the mixing of church and state. How are we to change our schools when the bible is forbidden? how are we to make anything better when going back on someone elses earlier post, we get detention for creating a prayer circle? i don't know what to do guys, and its killing me. we have to do SOMETHING. im sitting here watching the world leaders make decisions that in 20 years will more than likely plunge our world into an abyss of nuclear fire and radiation. How long can these Godless men and woman hold onto sch power without concept of a high power, before they do something really stupid?

So what can we do? One random act of Kindness at a time? its a great idea, but it seems to go unnoticed. We have to make our voices heard, but how? I for one refuse to stand here and do nothing while these people try to tell me how to act, how to behave. who are they? the only person i will EVER let tell me who i am to be, what to do, how to behave, is GOD. AND NO ONE ELSE. It's time we stop sulking in our chairs and start coming up with ideas on how to make a difference. Sitting on the sidelines gets us nowhere. either you are in, or you are out. Who else is tired of being pushed around by Godless leaders? who else is ready to push through these arms trying to hold us down and start making a difference according to GOD'S will. Anyone with me, or am I going to stand alone?

God used many younger men and women to get things done. David, Joseph, Samson, Gideon, Jacob, Ester, the list goes on and on, so why is it so taboo for us to start making a change? Even within our churches its frowned upon. Its ridiculous.

I'm not saying they're ALL like this, but something's gotta give, and it's gotta change.

We are in the world but not of the world, to simply put it. In other words, we (Christian's) don't belong here, we belong with God. But until that time comes for us, we are here. This is not our home.

One random act of kindness is good. Another way that it was put to me by my bible study, unleashing compassion. My leader gave us something to read a couple studies ago. It was a song by a country singer that I regrettably can't remember right now. But I remember this one line, "I do these things not to be remembered but to show the world I will not conform to it." He is talking about random acts of kindness.
I shared your frustration about my acts of kindness being unseen or not remembered until I heard that line. Before, I was so exhausted with trying to change the world through acts of random kindness. They are not unseen, God sees what you do and He sees in your heart the motive for doing with you did.

God has never stopped using His children for His purpose. It's also on us to hear and obey His commands as well. It will be taboo because Jesus said it would be. The world will hate us for following Him. That is why we are in the world but not of it. This is where we are hanging out until God brings us home.

In time, something will give and when that happens, everything will change. Jesus will come back and we will be able to go home.

I feel your frustration. I have experienced it too. Look to God and His wisdom in this matter. If you feel you are being led to do God's will, God will lead you and open doors for you. I hope that helped somehow....

exactly. you see we all have these crazy dreams when we are little, we reach so high! but then as we get older we reach lower and lower. the same person that now runs a porn website could very well be the same person that dreamt of being a pastor. What if we stopped letting them tell us what we can, or can't do? And instead of letting them put us down, we run for our calling, head first, not looking left, or right, and simply get to our destination. What could we achieve if we just let GOD do the talking?

Well we are not letting God do the talking in that case.We are thinking then.Just keep this in mind,with such things we must think more to what we want to do.The boy who wanted to be a fireman may become the President of a nation.What you do as a living depends solely on you.No true person truly accepts all that others say.Your ambitions and dreams are your own.It may seem as if people are trying to put you down (some may) but you must find the right people such as student counselors who are paid to encourage kids to follow their dreams.I once dreamed to be a mongoose,a hobo,a fireman,an artist,now I want to be an animator.I like this best and see it as a life that I would love for I am artistic by nature and would love to convey my messages to the world.It all depends on how you think of it.Do not let anyone put you down.They are only doing by example.People have been oppressed to do as told since before options for jobs became available.This seems to be the main source of why most people seem to think such things as most do not know how to portray anything different then what has been said for hundreds of years.
