"Unanswered Prayers"

I am a sinner... "1 John 1:8"

Have you ever prayed for something only for it not to happen, but as a result something even greater happened??

I know I have, and in the past it would dishearten me that my prayer wasn't "answer". But in that prayer not being "answered" the outcome was always greater than I could have imagined. I learned that no prayer goes unanswered because God answers every one of them, they just don't always get responded to the way we would like.

My belief is that God always answers prayers just not always in the way we expect. He always does and know what is best for us. I can't think of any examples from my life off the top of my head, but I know there have been a lot of instances.

I agree with both Shadow and you. God always answers prayer. some people see it as an unanswered prayer when it doesn't go their way though and I was listening to a song talking about unanswered prayers so it sparked my thoughts lol.

I prayed to God to get me out of Hospital.. i prayed everynight saying i don't want to be there and that i wanted to leave.

then my City got hit with an Earthquake and the hospital was evacuated because of major structural damage and i got to stay with a lady from church... she was really nice.

Now when i thought of God getting me out of hospital i was sort of meaning just take my illness away not the hospital... ^^;

Hmm makes me think of that Flyleaf song - Supernatural patience... must go listen to it.
