Gamekeeper's Hut

Welcome to the Keeper of Keys's Hut! This is where the Keeper of Keys, Grounds and Games live! My name is Eleanor Duke, and I'm Hogwarts's Groundkeeper.

My duties are to-
Look after the school's keys.
Escort first year students on the boats to the castle.
Tend to the gardens at Hogwarts.
Perform special tasks for the Headmaster and Professors at the school.
Look after magical beasts on the school grounds, mostly the Forbidden Forest.
Tend to matters in the Forbidden Forest.
Bring the twelve Christmas trees into the Great Hall during December (that'd be kinda hard but I'm sure I can make it!)
Defrost the school brooms during winter.

Daemon strode slowly down towards the Groundskeepers hut. His eyes were dull from being tired but he was eager as he knocked. He'd missed Eleanor,

Eleanor was cleaning a dusty cupboard in the tiny kitchen of the hut. She turned around as she heard the sound of the door opening. She smiled as she saw Daemon enter the hut.
"Hello, Daemon! Sup?" she asked, putting down the spatula she had in her hand.

Daemon smiled as he entered. "I hope you don't mind the impromptu visit. I needed to see someone who doesn't care what house I'm in." He shook his head. "How are you?"

Eleanor chuckled.
"I still favor Gryffindors.", she smirked, "But it's nice of you to pay me a visit. Oh, I'm fine. I visit the Forbidden Forest once in a while."

"Yeah. But you won't be mean about it and asume I'm gonna eat your kids." Daemon said with a hint of miserably. "Or run away after years of friendship.." He perked up slightly at the mention of the Forest. "If you ever need help, I'd be happy to come with you."

Eleanor Duke shrugged, smiling.
"First of all, I don't have kids.", she laughed softly, "Hm... Something wrong in the young Slytherin's heart!" she looked at Daemon, smiling. She then moved her glance to the window at the Forbidden Forest.
"You're not allowed, I'm afraid. Besides, you can only go on detentions, I think." she smirked.
"So, how's life as a Slytherin?" she chuckled.

Daemon's head lowered slightly at the lack of escape. "Maybe you could put me on detention for something?" He whispered softly, more to himself, then shook his head. "Being a Slytherin is good," Daemon replied honestly. He liked Slytherin. "Loosing my friend in Gryffindor because of it...." He sighed and shook his head again. "Being a Slytherin's just fine.."

Eleanor grimaced at Daemons' words then shook her head, smiling.
"Trust me, I had the exact same problem. My friend was in Slytherin and we kept-dunno, fighting, maybe? But everything ended well." she bowed her head, smiling. "Would you like anything? Tea, perhaps?" she asked on a happier tune. "And for what could I give you detention? Visiting me? Nope." she smirked.

Daemon nodded glumly, "Tea's good. Thank you." He replied with a hint of misery. "I kicked a rabbit on the way down. It was adorable."

Eleanor nodded to a chair outside the kitchen and hurried to the kitchen and served two cups of tea. She came back into the tiny "living room" and handed Daemon his cup. She sat down, taking a sip of her own tea.
"Now, why did you kick a cute little rabbit?", she laughed slightly, "Rabbits don't pollute, do they? Besides, kicking a rabbit is not a good reason for detention. And why d'you want to go to the Forbidden Forest anyway?" she questionned with a light chuckle.
