PERSONALITY: Mani is a stallion that lives by a strict, self imposed code of conduct. His honor means a lot to him, and it’s standards are firm. Mani believes that above all, lying, hurting innocents and failing to protect weaker beings from danger are the greatest sins of life, and to this day he’s never found an exception that allowed him to break this code of honor.

Mani’s code is one of his own invention. His father was more of a free spirit, but he had a strong sense of family values that he passed on to his son. Mani hopes, among many things, to lifemate and raise a family one day, like his forefathers before him. To him, a fling would be dishonorable and out of the question, even with a mare that was truly special to him.

Unfortunately, Mani’s beliefs also make him a touch chauvinistic. He falls too easily into believing that any mare in danger is an innocent damsel waiting to be saved, and even though he has met some very strong mares in his travels, he has a hard time avoiding this old way of thinking. It’s not that he believes that they’re weak, it’s just that his honor will not allow him to stand by and not try to help if he feels they’re in trouble. And “trouble” is relative. Though he usually tries to intervene in times of physical danger, any sort of peril he finds out about is worthy of his attention, and that can be anything from babysitting her foals to trying to drive off a hungry skinwalker (evil Soquili are the only ones exempt from his code). Natually, this also makes Mani a bit of a pushover when it comes to mares. As long as he feels he’s needed to help, he’ll do just about anything for a lady, and he can end up being used quite easily by a mare if she’s so inclined.
