Bardess' Plot Thread - In progress

Hi, this is my first time making a plot thread, so I hope I am doing this right. I looked at a few others to get a general idea of what is expected, so if I do something that was uniquely yours, or yours first, please PM me and I'll take it down/change it/fix it right away.

About me: (Since multiple people have had this) The problem with an about me section, is I'm not sure what to say, so feel free to skip. What I will say, I'm a student working towards being a film editor. I also want to be a novelist, and this sometimes shows through in my rp. IRL is insane, but with a few exceptions (November, Otakon weekend, when I'm out of town) I generally check all my rps once a day. If I know you are on and posting, I'll check more often. I have a yahoo IM account and AIM, if you want to poke me on that go ahead. I have had whole conversations that were 4 hours of the word "posted" repeated on both sides. xp Uh, not sure what else there is to say. I'm shy when I don't know what's going on, and very confused in Soq. Oh, and I'm hopelessly addicted to Warcrack. Hope that helped. sweatdrop

Notes about Rping with me:
() - Gaia is PG 13. When it comes to anything besides violence and gore (which I don't generally mind too much, unless it's real world), I happily live in a PG bubble. If you're going to swear a lot, or you want to rp really INTIMATE scenes, I'm probably not the one to play with, sorry. sweatdrop

() - I post. A lot. If I haven't posted in a week, and didn't tell you I'd be unable to, then my browser probably ate the thread bookmark. Again. I will forget things, even if I am very much enjoying. So please do IM me if some how I have not replied.
() - I firmly believe that RP should be fun for both people, if you are starting to not have fun, please tell me. We can either work to fix the SL into something you enjoy, or we can stop all together and have our pets go their own way. No hard feelings. Please do not think you have to suffer in silence for my sake.
() - I'm still very new to Soq, so if I mess up somewhere, please tell me, and I'll do my best to fix it, or at least learn for the future. I thrive on constructive criticism, so won;t snap at you for a helpful tip.

About Pachu'a
The first thing that must be said in any discussion of Pachu'a is.... Sorry! No really, I mean it! While he has calmed down significantly since his debut, Pachu'a is one of the single most insulting beings alive. That being said, it isn't. Being said that is. Ah, perhaps I should clarify. Pachu'a can take three paragraphs to say precisely nothing. However, he will think every insulting thing possible (I won't let him put half of it on the page) while he says nothing. Literally, he can fill a hundred words without speaking.

Pachu'a feels that most other Soqs he has met are, well, frankly, stupid. Most of what they say or ask he sees to be obvious. As he has no need to say what is obvious, he does not answer said questions. As he dislikes having the obvious pointed out, he tries not to dignify it with responses. He firmly believes that anyone with a brain can understand him perfectly by watching his body language, and by paying attention to the world around them. It does not help that his adopted daughter (Divena's Lian) actually can.

I spend almost as many words apologizing for his insulting ways as RPing some days, but he is who he is, and other owners seem to like him, even if other Soqs don't.

Pachu'a does not care for others easily, but when some one has his loyalty, his friendship, they have it. He will do nearly anything for some one he cares about. Right now that list numbers two.

He's still annoyed that his escort quest turned out to be a visit to a grave.

Mary Mary, Quite Contrary

About Mary: Mary is a Dark Goddess. Well, she believes she is, and it's the thought that counts, right? When I won Mary, I looked up the myths about her, and asked friends for the versions they knew, asked what abilities she was allowed to have, and came away from all that with this:

Mary thinks she is a Dark Goddess. She believes that when her parents buried her as a foal (they thought she was dead) they were doing it to make her stronger. When she pulled on the bell cord that was left for her, no one answered, and she eventually pulled the bell down. Realizing she'd get no help, she clawed her way free of the grave, using her own blood to moisten the earth. When she won free, she was an adult, and she went home to find her parents. When they saw the foal they thought was dead, pale and covered in blood and grave dirt, they thought her a ghost and fled. Mary decided it was time to leave, and went to fetch her most prized possession, her mirror. She saw then the changes in herself, and that the mirror moved at her commands. Proof, she realized (incorrectly) that she had risen from the grave, mortal no more, but a Goddess in all her Dark Glory.

Now, Mary believes that it was the fear and hardships of the grave that made her so strong, as well as having to dig herself out. So, she seeks to share the experience with all her "Children", all her followers. She can identify her children easily. They quake with awe at having met her. (Actually, Mary, that's fear, not awe, you're covered in blood) Then she proceeds to initiate them. This largely involves burring them alive with a bell cord. For their own good, of course.

She always starts, however, by swinging her mirror out before a soq, and moving silently until she is behind him or her, so that when one first looks in the mirror, he or she sees Mary over the shoulder when the soq had previously been alone. There is, as such, generally a very good reason for them to be shaking when they first encounter her.

About Jayhk: When this boy gets an idea in his head, he clings to it until a sledge hammer, or something equally subtle slams it out of his head. He believes patience is a virtue, and that his instincts are always right... eventually. He nearly died because he had a feeling to go to one specific place and then waited until he found out why. He got buried in the snow. When Frost dug him out, he decided that she was the reason he had to wait there, clearly he was fated to meet her and fall in love. This is typical for him. It makes him amusing, especially when he is wrong.

About Nenmau: To make your life easier, think of him like an aquatic cat. He suffers from "I meant to do that" Syndrome, his coat and hair must always be in perfect condition, and he can't ever admit when he's scared or... you know... wrong. He works hard for his "perfection" and is vain, very. However, he believes that everyone needs to live up to their own ideal, so he isn't trying to say he looks better then anyone else, he just looks the best possible him he can, but just in case... he is always looking for ways to improve his look. He also keeps forgetting that he has short hair.

He *HATES* being dry the way a cat hates being wet. Does not like to even stick his head or tail above water, so plots deep in the ocean are preferred.
