Personality: Molly is like her daughter, Scarlet, in one sense. She finds deep, endless amusement in the simplest things. Unlike, her daughter, however, she rather hides that fact. She'll watch flowers swaying forever, but only so long as she is alone. She'll talk to butterflies once everyone in out of ear shot. She's not ashamed of her tendencies, she just feels that it's a little odd for a grown mare to act in such a manner. When others are around, she tends to act more uptight. A place for everything, and everything in it's place. She cleans endlessly and likes her home to be full and stocked.
History: Long before Molly came to find her daughter, she lived in a far away land with her mate and two children. A kalona had attacked them one night and slaughtered Lionel and Rutherford before she could do anything. But that monster would not take her daughter from her. They both ran through the night, jumping at shadows and crickets in the woods until the sun came up. They assumed they were safe. They were wrong. Watching them quietly through the brush, the Kalona had followed them. Molly saw her on accident and froze. If she gave away her knowledge, they were both dead. Instead, she sent her daughter off to get water. Take a bath and relax. While Scarlet was gone, Molly broke into a run, giving the Kalona the chase she craved. When she finally lost the predator, she had run so far that she could no longer find her way back home if she tried. Molly never forgave herself to abandoning her daughter.
The first chance she got, Molly traveled to the Soquili Lands in order to find the daughter she left. She looked endless months and years before she finally found her by chance. They had both come to the same river to relax and saw one another across the banks. It was an emotional reunion, and even more emotional introduction her Scarlet’s family. Now Molly is settling into her new life with her long lost daughter happily.

Personality: Scarlet is a loving usdia, who tries her best to find the beauty in everything around her. This practice has made her an outstanding mother figure to anyone who comes her way. It doesn’t matter to Scarlet who you are or where you came from. All that matters is where you go from here, and you bet your bottom dollar Scarlet will be there to help you get where you need to go. The only downside to this is that she is easily taken advantage of. If you need a sucker as much as some need a mother, look no further.
History: Scarlet lost her family in a distant land to an attack of… something… her brother, father, and mother were all lost. Scarlet was just barely into her marehood when she was forced to migrate, alone and frightened, to these new lands. She vowed to make her fallen family proud and refused to give in to her despair. Her mother taught her to love, and so she would. Deeply and unconditionally, she would love.
When she met Syipher, she got the chance to exercise this. He was a jerk, yes, but he apologized. Scarlet saw that there was good in him and loved that. And somehow, he loved her too. They loved each other deeply and entirely, and everything was good. Syipher even brought a new life into their home. Azzan, only a basket when Scarlet became his mother, and who would grow to forever be her pride and joy. He grew up to be unsure of himself. He was full-sized and his parents were stunted. It took every ounce of Scarlet’s love and reassurance to convince him that he belonged.
Her family grew not long after that, with the birth of her two sons Ranulf and Sweetpea. With her three children, Scarlet felt that she had truly attained absolute happiness. But something happened. Something… bad… Azzan bit someone, kicked someone else… Scarlet tried to scold him but… Sweetpea drove him away and she could only run and… Syipher took her other son, Azzan vanished and she was left with… nothing. Nothing except Sweetpea who, bless his heart, stayed by her side and helped her rebuild. She never saw her family again, outside fo Sweetpea, but she survived.
Finally, she met Daytona. Broken and afraid, she tried again. It seems to be working again, with a new brood of foals to keep her company and her ever expanding adoptive family… but it’s hard. Ginny, her youngest, has recently taken up with a possessive full-sized stallion with a very strange face, and while Scarlet trusts her daughter's judgement, her son spend more and more time fretting over his "lost sister." Whatever peace Scarlet was enjoying before this will be gone until Sweetpea learns to accept Ginny's choices as a grown mare. Until then, she will watch as Sweetpea paces around her home with nothing better to do than fret about nothing at all.

Personality Rutherford is a very polite and rather soft spoken chicken. Much more likely to listen than actively converse, Rutherford prefers to be on the outside rings of social interactions, listening to stories instead of telling his own. Because of this, Rutherford has become a confidant for several friends including his dear friend Scarlet. He doesn't talk much, doesn't offer unwanted advice, doesn't assert his opinion. He just sits and nods without judgment.
History: Rutherford hatched all by himself in a patch of wild berries that Scarlet often visited for breakfast. Ever the mother, she took him home and nursed him while he grew. Whenever he's asked about who his mother is, he always answers "Scarlet." As an adult he can often be found picking around Scarlet's home, cleaning and tidying, or else going out to gather for her while she rests at home. ruthrford has little need fo radventure and danger, believing that he had all he adventure that he needed as an egg.

In light of his past sins, he has deemed himself his mother’s protector, and recently the protector of other soquili that he mistakenly assumes too naïve to take care of themselves. Others have had to put him in his place from time to time, but what he does, he does out of love.
History: When he was born, his mother and father had already raised a fully grown stallion named Azzan. Being a full-sized soquili, Sweetpea was always a little wary of him. The young usdia had already been nearly stepped on by other full-sized soquili who weren’t looking down low, and besides that, Azzan had always been unpredictable. But his parents loved him and his brother was devoted to him, so Sweetpea did his best to do so as well. One day, however, something happened. Sweetpea isn’t sure anymore how things panned out, but all he knows is that he drove Azzan away, and in so doing drove his family apart.
At that same point (or maybe it was before, he can’t remember anymore everything from that point in his life blended together in a furious blur of transgressions against others) Sweetpea tried to mate with a long time friend, Princess Pocket Lint. He wasn’t sure why he did, nor did he have a plan for if they were successful, but he did. He’s not proud of it. In doing this he betrayed the trust of his brother, who was also courting her, and destroyed the trust of Pocket.
His father took Ranulf and his mother took him to different homes and Sweetpea had to spend months nursing his mother back to health. She had lost almost everything, and it was all his fault. Months and months of taking care of his mother and failing to care for himself left him broken and ashamed of himself, though he had learned to hide it well. So when Giada came into his life, she had no idea of his suffering. And she never will.
Claude was going to be different, he vowed when his mother brought him into the fold. No matter how Claude turned out, Sweetpea was going to love him, unconditionally, the way his mother had loved Azzan. The way he should have loved Azzan. As Claude grew up, Sweetpea slowly, carefully, divulged his sins. When Claude was old enough, Sweetpea told him his greatest sin, transgressed against Pocket Lint. Claude had every right to banish Sweetpea from the family… but he didn’t. Claude only said that he forgave Sweetpea. Reminded him that their mother believe in the goodness of all soquili. Slowly, Sweetpea is learning to forgive himself.
Recently, his baby sister Ginny has taken up with a rather possessive and very frightening looking full-sized stallion. Now Sweetpea spends his days pacing around his mother's home fretting about his sister and plotting ways to get her back from the clutches of what he was sure was certain death.

Personality: Ginny takes very much after her mother, finding glee in small things. She loves to listen to stories that other have to share, be they harrowing or wondrous. She is also one of the most loyal companions you can ever hope to have by your side. Even if you are wrong, Ginny will always be there for you, convinced that you had your reasons and therefore you must be right. Also like her mother, unfortunately, this makes her an easy target, and is easily manipulated.
History: There isn't really much to say. Ginny was born. She grew up. She laughs and plays more often than she cries and mopes. She is, in a word, blissful, and leads a blissful life.

Personality: Claude spent his childhood days with a wooden sword and a heart for adventure. In his salad days, Claude spent time fighting imaginary monsters and saving invisible damsels. Scarlet found him as a basket and raised him, fueling his imagination and his dream of someday being a knight. As he grew up, however, he had to learn that hard lesson that monsters did exist, and he had to become a knight as a young stallion to protect his family.
History: Since Scarlet found Claude as a basket, his origins are unknown. Not that it really matters, Claude considers Scarlet his mother and Sweetpea his brother. And that’s good enough for him. Growing up as she was healing herself, however, he vowed that he would never let anyone hurt the mare who saved him. It began innocently enough, running around the surrounding forests with a wooden sword, fighting monsters and demons. He even found a little friend who enjoyed the same adventures. Istas Misae. They grew and trained together, learning by trial and error what it meant to be a knight. It seemed like he was slowly fulfilling his dream.
By the time they were young adults, Istas fell in love with another mare, and of course she had Claude’s full support. She was his best friend after all. He even went so far as to agree to be the surrogate father for their new family. Except… love is a funny thing, and when it gets physical… he didn’t have the heart to tell Istas. There was no reason to add stress to her, and besides, he was already courting another mare. It wasn’t easy but… he kept himself a secret for as long as he could, until Istas herself could contain it no longer. From then on, they were inseparable, soul mates, some would say.
Months later, Istas gave birth to three foals, and Claude nearly died of happiness. As they grew, he began training them in his and Istas’ calling, the calling they would pass to them. Chevalier, unfortunately, was a free spirit and left home early, so that left his only boy, Lafayette, to carry on the family name. It was like pulling out feathers, getting Lafayette to practice, though. It wasn’t like his sister, who pounced on every opportunity to prove herself. Lafayette was happier lazing around. And it took Claude nearly dying to figure out that he should turn his attention to Nadia instead to carry on the legacy.
With his down time, Lafayette met and brought home the half kalona, Branwen, whom Claude could already see had stolen his son’s heart. Of course, Claude by this time was entering old man territory, and so was beyond worrying about a soquili’s breed as judgment. Hell, he’d been raised by an usdia, he himself being full-sized. He welcomed her with open arms and brought her into their family. Not long after this, she bore three foals and, unfortunately, passed. This plunged Lafayette into deep depression, leaving Claude and Istas to raise the foals. Unfortunately, during this troubling time, Branwen’s aunt, Neva appeared to steal one basket. The family was devastated. They searched for months but by the time they found the baby… it was too late. Neva had placed her mark on the child and raised him to thirst for blood. After wounding both Claude and Istas, he vanished again.
Claude took longer to heal from this than when he assumed the basket had been killed. Before he couldn’t keep his own family safe, but this time, not only could he not keep them safe, he couldn’t keep them from evil. Istas, bless her soul, working tirelessly to heal both her son and her mate, but to no avail. They were, after all, more alike than they cared to admit, and took losses like this very hard. It wasn’t until Nadia entered their home one day with the very meek-looking Lucian in toe that either of them felt some life in them again.
Nadia had saved and redeemed Lucian, and brought him back. Claude is now working with Lucian to become a knight like Nadia and himself, as well as helping him find out how to truly redeem himself.

Personality: Genevive is a fierce hawk in every sense of the word. She is a fierce friend, and fierce fighter, a fierce lover; everything she does, she does to the nth degree and never a single iota less. She believes that to do anything less than 100% of what you are capable of is a mockery to both you and whatever or whoever you are acting for. Because of this work ethic, Genevive is also not very forgiving with her judgement. Anyone not pulling what she thinks is their fair share is lazy. Anyone who takes withing paying back, even if they were asked to to pay back is greedy. And once she passes this judgement, there is little one can do to change it.
History: Genevive prefers not to talk about her past, preferring to look always forward. But if pressed, she'll tell that she was born into a flock of Hawks very much like any other and she left when she was of age for her own reasons. There's isn't much more she will say on the matter. Even Claude, her most trusted friend and closest confidant, has no idea of what happened before she came to him when he was a young foal. Once they did meet, however, she was essential in his adventures with Istas, acting as a wise voice at the end of lessons and aiding in more dangerous endeavors.

Personality: Lafayette is very much a lover. Though he was taught to do so, he will do anything to avoid a fight. That being said, he is a bit of a smart mouth, and it tends to get him into the very trouble he is trying to get out of. As a foal this often time got his little rump kicked, since he liked to mouth off to other Soquili especially. Now he’s toned it down a little bit, but still get dirty looks every once in a while. For his aversion to violence, however, he knows when it’s time to step up. When someone is really in danger he will get himself involved. Fighting, however, is still a last resort. He will always attempt to talk his way out of a fight. Diplomacy truly is his strong suit.
History: As a foal, Lafayette and his sister Naida were both trained by their father. Up at dawn and working hard until the sun set again, it was a hard life for a foal. That’s not to say that Lafayette didn’t feel loved. On the contrary, he knew that his father loved him and his sister more than anything. Problem was he showed it differently than Lafayette would have liked.
In time, Naida proved herself to be the better knight, but Claude still set his eyes on his son carrying on his legacy. Claude’s training with Nadia tapered off and soon all of his focus was directed at Lafayette, much to Lafa’s dismay. It wasn’t until Nadia literally saves their father’s life that he finally got the message that Nadia wanted to be a knight and Lafayette wanted to take a nap. Thus, Lafayette earned his freedom through his sister.
This was when he met his mate, Branwen. Lafayette may not have inherited his father’s knighthood, but he did inheret his love of all things. He brought her home to his family with no doubt in his mind that they would accept her, which they did, of course. Thus began the long and loving task of teaching Branwen that she was worth more than her breed suggested. When she finally did come to love herself, she was able to give birth to three beautiful foals. The price, however, was his mate. Branwen vanished shortly after the birth. Lafayette was devastated. He spent months in a stupor, laying near the lake with glassy eyes. He couldn’t bring himself to even look at his baskets, and after a while grief gave way to shame. How can he face his family after essentially abandoning him foals… Branwen’s foals?
The ironic thing was that he was just about to pull himself out of his slump when Neva attacked. He was ready to accept Branwen’s disappearance and move on with his life and his children when tragedy struck again. Branwen’s aunt Neva attacked the encampment and made off with a basket. Violently cast down into another pit of shame and sorrow, Lafayette went back to his catatonic state, only roused when Lucian attack the camp months later, blood thirsty and ravenous. Lafayette nearly lost his life that day, were it not for his father. At least this time he had copmpany in his sorrow, as Claude joined him, ashamed that he’d lost Lucian to such an evil mare. Months past and Lafayette’s remaining daughters grew up and left, never forming a bond with their strange and distant father. The stallions were only roused form their misery when Nadia returned with the wayward Lucian in tow.
Lafayette's main concern now is finding out who his son is. Lucian is basically a stranger, as he is to Lucian. They are preforming this very strange dance around one another, trying to gauge the other. Either has yet to make any move towards the other.

Personality: Having had quite the turbulent past, Suichii prefers to do nothing with his day. He feels as though he’s deserved it, and considers his life in these lands his retirement. Suichii can usually be found lounging under a tree or wading in a calm stream, enjoying the company of his family for a few close friends. He is more than happy to make new friends, but tends not to approach new people to avoid bothering soquili who would rather be left alone.
History: Suichii was found as a basket by a band of thieves, and raised in their trade. He grew up to be fairly good at it. He was quiet on his feet and in his demeanor, smart enough to see when a job wouldn’t pan out. He knew how to anticipate possible obstacles, not to say he was amazingly smart, he just knew how to do his job. For the most part. Problem was that his clan was greedy, more so than he. He figured that if they stole a little from a lot of people, they would live to enjoy the hoard that they had amassed instead of risk getting caught trying to steal a while sack of junk. But no one wanted to listen, so he was dragged along with a huge heist that, of course, went south. To avoid being caught and punished, he escaped to the Soquili Lands.
He had no intention of starting new in the beginning. He intended to find a new clan to join or maybe even start his own. Turns out, however, there was no need. Thievery, where Suichii had come from, was out of necessity. There simply wasn’t enough to go around, which bred greed and desperation. Here there was plenty. It took some time to come out of his routine but… in time Suichii settled into his retirement and met his mate, Selena. They happily raised two baskets, Nerissa and Rocket who are inseperable.

 Nicknames: Emi, Koko
Personality: No one is really sure what happened to Emiko when she was younger, but because of it, Emiko is perpetually a child. She speaks in the third person, sees only in black and white, and doesn’t always understand the way to world works. Soquili either love or hate Emiko, but she tends not to even notice the difference. Emiko has never met a stranger before, and probably never will.
History: Either Emiko can’t recall where she came from or she won’t, but her origins are unknown. While she has been here, however, Emiko has been making a name for herself bothering innocent soquili and making friends out of soquili who don’t necessarily want to be her friend. Recently, she’s met this wonderful mare named Tequila, who introduced her to the delicious fermented fruits. Emiko spends most of her time eating those with her new and vibrant mate, and doting on her son, Koko Loco in their new herd.

 Nicknames: Koko
Personality: Koko either cannot speak, or he will not speak. What he lacks in vocalization, however, he makes up for in personality. Koko tends to be a bit of a drama queen, especially when he doesn't get his way. And even if things are all according to his liking, he still finds something to pick at. Still, for all his bratty behaviors, he is very kind. Lazy, but kind. While he may not get up an help someone, he will convince them to sit down with him and have a bite to eat. He won't go and get a friend, but he'll get his own home ready to entertain.
History: Koko has lived a very easy life with his mother in their herd. He never wants for love, never feels left out of anything, and spends his days doing a whole lot of nothing, which is just the way he wants it.

Personality: Memory is a quiet stallion. He spends much of his time thinking, meditating on the things around him. When he does talk, it's more in a whisper than anything. He also tends to speak in short sentences, preferring to sit in silence.
History: Memory remembers everything that happens to him. Ever. He has a photographic memory, and it’s his biggest burden. To remember everything ever is… well it’s hard. He remembers his family in distinct detail, every line of face, every nuance of motion. He remembers. He remembers every place where everything never happened and it haunts him. Good and bad, he cannot forget. He came to the Soquili Lands to make new memories and to escape the old ones, even the good. Almost upon landing he met Scarlet and her dear friend Flower. Scarlet, ever excitable would not stop talking and Memory remembers every word. He also remembers the exact fashion in which Flower tossed her mane out fo her eyes and smiled meekly at Scarlet’s joy. He fell in love instantly. Years later they have a small family and a quiet patch of clover and Memory realizes that he doesn’t so much mind these new memories.

Personality: Rocket is an adventurer. The sure fire way to get him to go somewhere is to tell him how dangerous it is. He’s always looking for something to do, literally anything that will be an adventure. Even a simple trip to the shore is an adventure for him. It’s all about where you look.
History: Rocket was raised in the loving embrace of his two parents, and while he doesn’t really mind, he has always longed for something more. There has to be more to his parents than what he sees right? His whole life, Rocket had been trying to ply something out of them pertaining to their lives before he and his sister, but they never give anything. They always say that it’s not for him to worry about. Not his burden to bear. Well, if they won’t tell him, then he’ll find out what aadventure is himself. As an adult, Rocket wanders the lands, looking for adventure in the great wide somewhere.

Personality: Hunny has always had a tendency to wander off on her own, derailed by something that caught her interest. She tends to have a sort of wandering mind with anything that is not scientific and, more importantly, pertaining to the disappearing of her precious bees. She doesn't speak much and tends not to make eye contact. Whens he does talk, it's in very hushed tones and short sentences.
History: Memory raised Honeysuckle to always question. Everything. Never accept anything at face value. And she doesn’t. Honeysuckle is always asking why the world works the way it works. She lives her life by those rules. Always question, but most importantly, find your own answers. On that note, when she was a young mare, she noticed that bees were becoming less and less common in her family’s grove. At first she thought that there was just no more bees in the area, so she went out to try and find a way to transplant them, only to find out that there were fewer everywhere else too. This sparked a life-long pursuit of answers and solutions, to find out why the bees are vanishing and how to fix the problem.
