Muggle Liaison Office

The Muggle Liaison Office is, apparently, a division of the Department of Magical Accidents and Catastrophes presumably responsible for wizard-Muggle relations. Given the lack of Muggle awareness of the wizarding world, in accordance with the International Statute of Wizarding Secrecy of 1692, it can be presumed that the Muggle Liaison Office fulfils its duties in a very one-sided manner.

27 Year Old Head of the Muggle Liason Office and Former Ravenclaw

Inside of the office, a young woman sat at a rather fancy looking desk reading a Muggle newspaper. She really did despise the fanciness of the desk, after all, a plain desk like she had before would have served the same purpose in a less ostentacious manner. As for the Muggle newspaper she was reading, that was actually quite interesting to her. After all, Violana was the Head of the Muggle Liason Office, and she loved her job. Her family would send her them and she would read them. Even the most mundane articles about a lost cat. Muggles could be so odd at times.

The woman let out a sigh. She was quite certain she had something to be doing. Some sort of job to assign or paperwork to look over. If there was one thing Violana hated more than the ostentacious desk, it was paperwork. However she could understand that it would be needed at times, after all, they did have to perform memory modifications at times. Those could be interesting.

Muggle Liaison

Pop! A short distance away a man in deep burgundy robe appeared in front of a somewhat simpler desk, but still quite ornate. Not that one could tell now; the desk was covered in newspapers, magazines, books and scrolls of parchment. The only reason they were straightened out in piles and rows was because by the look of his superior's work area, his proclivity for messes wouldn't be appreciated. The man let out a soft sigh and slumped his shoulders, then glanced at the other desks to check who else was in. The head was in, at least he assumed it was the head. She was hidden behind a paper. "Ah, morning Violana." He nodded to her, then turned back to his desk and pulled out his wand, muttering,"Evanesco," clearing out all the clutter he'd already read.

Nothing too interesting had happened around the office as of late, at least not to him. But that was all well and good. When there wasn't much going on he was given the task of digging through muggle media for possible leaks in the wizard world. It was actually quite hard to keep from breaking out in laughter while reading muggle articles about 'supernatural' occurrences, only because so many of them were outrageously incorrect. His wife had told him that people just made those things up. He had no trouble believing it. "Any new development?" He asked Violana in a bit of a mundane tone, fairly sure that there wasn't any, but just trying to start a small bit of conversation.

Violana looked up from her reading to see a man sitting at another desk. "Morning Aulerick,"she said brightly. The Head Muggle Liason was in a pretty good mood at the moment, and she didn't want to spoil it. She smiled a bit and went back to scanning over some articles.

Violana had to look through her papers to find the answer to her employee's question. "Ummm...none that I've got listed as needing attenion at the moment. That is, unless you've got anything," she explained, hoping that the man had uncovered something worthwhile. The young woman could tell sitting around the office bored him.

Nathaniel walked in to the office with his hand in his pocket. "Good morning" He said to his coworkers, with a small hint of an American accent. He walked over to his desk and started on some work. He was tired, but he was still glad to be doing something that was dear to his heart. If his job was something that would help Muggles he was glad he could be part of it. He sighed, William, his oldest son would need to find a job soon. At the moment he was working at home, which was a big help but they were a bit tight on money.

George headed to work like every morning without bothering the rest of the family which consisted of three girls. Like always he was bound to work late and miss out on being with his kids again but that was how he was.

Walking into the office George seemed depressed as usual. He was thinking of the past again and how his wife would be disappointed about him always working and never being home. But what could he do the job was all he had to help forget the pain of the past.

Taking a seat at his desk George got straight to work without saying as much as a simple hello. It wasn't usually like him to not say hello in the morning but today he was preoccupied with his own thoughts to think about it plus there was work to be done.

Location: Muggle Liaison Office

George was working late like he always did. Deep down he wished he could be at home with his kids but like always he chose to stay at the office. He was so concentrated on his work that he couldn't have said whether he was alone in the office or not. He was finishing his paper work for the day and hoped to be out of the office soon but that was probably wishful thinking.

'I wonder how my kids are doing...' George wondered. 'Leo tries too hard to be their mother... and little Gracie doesn't even know her mother or me for that matter...' he continued to think. It hurt knowing he was letting the girls down but it he didn't work then they wouldn't have anywhere to go. They sure couldn't stay with his brother in law. It wouldn't be far to anyone.
