Wizarding News (Basics and Information)


Welcome to the Wizarding News Subforum! This sub is for the major News Outlets found in the wizarding world and the news articles featured in them. In an effort to restore activity to this subforum, all roleplayers are now encouraged to create and submit their own articles to the newspapers even if they do not have a character that is employed there. We want roleplayers to easily share their unique events that may have an impact on the Wizarding World around them. This thread will effectively be replacing the Rumors List.

In this subforum you will find: The Daily Prophet, The Quibbler, and Rumours!. Below you will find an outline of what type of articles are accepted by each of the news outlets.

If you would like your character to apply to one of the newspapers, submit an application here. The roleplaying offices can be found in the Diagon Alley Subforum.


The Different Newspapers:
The Daily Prophet: Big news, events, criminal activity, weddings, obituaries, etc.
The Quibbler: Oddities, conspiracy theories, magical creature findings, etc.
Rumours!: Rumors, gossip, celebrity sightings, fake news, etc.

The Dragon Research and Restraint Bureau were called in to assess the situation. Within a few days, the bureau managed to relocate the mother dragon to the Romanian Dragon Sanctuary where she can continue her nesting cycle. No students were harmed during this time.
