Welcome to Talewind high, a school for the supernatural, the talented and just plain weird. Founded over millenniums ago (No one can actually remember when), but it has gone through many great things, such as making miraculous breakthroughs in science and magic, a place where great events unfolded that shaped the Earth and even been foothold against the forces of evil, though occasionally it has been the bringer of evil.
There have been many great people who came to this school and was their stepping stone to the glory they are now. From many great poets and artisans, to great warriors and scientists and even heroes and villains.
Students that come to this school are variant indeed. To list them, there are the supernatural that span from wizards, mystical creatures and other phenomenon, even the sons of gods. They come to this school because it is the only one that is offered to them, too many other schools are prejudice or scared of them. Really this school was built for them (Far as historians can figure about the school’s history), but it evolved and became more versatile.
There are then the talented, which span from great artists, incredible warriors and wondrous scientists. They come to this place either because their skills are on a supernatural level or because the staff of Talewind high tend to be very great teachers, due to the requirement needed or due to the fact that the supernatural students are great for inspirational arts, sparring partners or general experiments- if they catch them and don’t get caught. Although there is a clear line between Supernatural and talent, the staff have managed to keep the peace and most do tend get along.
Not all come by will or peaceful intent. In this world there are many dark creatures, people with cruel ambitions or those who have simply been corrupt. Due to rights activists having a lot of power these days, they claim that if brought to a positive surrounding, they can learn to be good instead of the evil they were born to be. Therefore being that Talewind high is the only containable school, they are sent here to learn to behave or at least keep them away from the rest of society.
So now that you have an idea of the kind of Talewind high takes in, we’ll go on about the things they do there. Like all schools you come to study of course. These tend to usually been academic things like maths, English and PE. But these are because all schools are required. In addition to these lessons you have magic and paranormal classes, warrior classes and Integration classes.
To be put on to more detail, magic and paranormal range from the research and study of magic, the learning to control abilities and understanding the other unusual creatures that live in this world. Such things tend to be dangerous or just comical. This area has endured so many magical backfires or just fully unthought out spells, that the place is unrecognisable that parts of it have became something like from a different dimension, teachers have grown accustomed to this, but normally have to put a lot of effort to helping new students find their way around. Some places though have endured, luckily and look like an average modern school part.
The warrior section then is something that was implemented. Many dark forces, divided wars and things that threaten the world is something regular and so it is that the governments that fund, Talewind high, pressure the school to send some of their incredible students to assist. As such the school has made a divided part of the school where students have the choice of taking up classes to be trained to fight. In addition they are available to become drafted when dark forces arise and even work part-time, while still a student at the school, to be a mercenary. This part of the school is half medieval like and half modern military base, with training courses, sparring coliseums and though there are some sport field pitches, being that the warrior section is just a suitable place to keep them.
The Integration area is then the part of the school that helps students be a part of society. This is obliviously mandatory for the evil students brought here in hopes they learn to stop being evil students. But due to its dominance of such students, the section has been reflected by them rather than the students themselves. When entering this part of the school you will often find it dark and spooky, with gangs roaming this area, that scheme for world domination, plot to take over the school or simply pick on other students.
Many of these classes are hard and difficult to succeed in, let alone live thanks to most students that have had to sign waivers that their parents can’t sue the school for their any unfortunate fates. There have been vast studies though to support that these classes can be handled if students were to find the perfect partners to get through school with. Indeed many of their former students who went onto success had lifelong partners they made at the school.
As such the school encourages partnership such as those to become boyfriends and girlfriends or something like boyfriend and boyfriend, even just thingfried and something else. It has caused most lunchtime activities to require partners, blind date projects and even requiring a partner for your final grade. Controversial overall, but the school has nonetheless improved since it introduced these.
Now that we have the explanation of the school out of the way, let’s get down to the open occupations of the school.
Grand master Head principal; Reason for the Grand master in the title than just Head principal is because the people who have often been in charge of the school have been those from respectable backgrounds, ranging from scientists and wizards that have transformed our world, warriors known for slaying the greatest beasts and those who have taken over the world once or twice.
People such as these are needed for their respect and known for doing such challenges to run a school like this. There have been though quite a strange vary of Grand master Head principals that range from wise and intelligent, powerful and strong and then just those that have been right crazy.
Lord Vice Principle: These are just the same as Grand master principals, but are second place to the Grand master’s achievements. Therefore it’s only natural he’d be second-in-command to him.
Great Wizard teacher: This here is the head of the supernatural and paranormal part of the school. They often have to be magic users to apply for this job due to the fact most problems that happen in this part of the school (Which are quite often) need a magical solution than anything else.
Paranormal teachers: These teachers are those who teach the supernatural and paranormal part. They range from powerful wizards, to experienced creatures like werewolves and vampires and might gods and angels. They teach the students to use magic (of course), control their powers and sometimes even survive them or find uses for them.
Bastion of Talewind high: Because of all the potential students, the secrets it contains and normally because it’s in evil’s path, Talewind high is regularly under threat. It is therefore that the school is defended by someone mighty, known as the Bastion of Talewind high. He can often take form of a towering creature able to devour entire cities, a magic user that can shape mountains or a warrior that has slayed the largest of beasts known to man. They are often decided by challengers of the current Bastion of Talewind high and are given a chosen challenge by one either the Grand master principal or Lord vice Principle. To note though that most Bastions of Talewind high have often been resentful of the evil students that appear in their halls, often because of one of the many threats they have to deal with and have been known to fail against are evil students.
Mighty warrior teacher: Although the Bastion of Talewind high is also a teacher and is more revered, there is the Mighty warrior teacher who is the actual head of the section, this has led much confusion to new students. One reason is that while the Bastion of Talewind high is like walking nightmare or man who walks with an aura of greatness, the Mighty warrior teacher is often more like a football coach, there have been a few throughout history who look nothing like a warrior. Thing is though, Mighty warrior teachers are responsible to train warriors and don’t actually have to be them so it’s only natural that they have more wisdom to give than bronze. Most Mighty warrior teachers that fill this occupation have been those responsible for training heroes echoed through history.
Warrior teachers: Most teachers are warriors, but some are experienced combat wizards and creatures that have survived many bleak hunts. They have plenty to teach and show students that enter their classes.
Dark integration teacher: To explain half of the common and head teachers of Talewind high integration part. Criminal convicts, imprisoned souls and those who want to turn a new leaf are made to do their time here. Reason why is because study shows that evil students listen and relate better to those they are born to be. It is therefore that Dark integration teachers are meant to teach them not to follow their path or just not be evil. There are not enough resources however to completely surveillance to ensure that Dark integration teachers do their jobs and can sometimes sublimely teach them the wrong lessons or have private lessons after class of what they really want to teach them.
Light integration teachers: The intentional polar opposites of Dark integration teachers. These come normally from activists who believe what they are doing, relatives of evil students who want to help them and their friends or light-hearted volunteers. They are often optimistic people who can be very oblivious to someone’s dark heart, but know when to react to a student being bad.
These polar opposites therefore always share classes together to keep a balance of shaping the minds of the evil students. This leads to a lot of undermining, sabotage of lessons and simple fallouts between the two. Many of them do end up building a strong bond though and reluctantly become partners, but are often still polar opposites.
Light integrations have their own classes though where they teach good students how to integrate and camouflage within society.
