Pray for my boyfriend`s dying mother, thank you.

I am reaching out because I want to lift a family up to God tonight.
In February my mother was diagnosed with cancer, then in May
three days after Victor`s (my boyfriend) birthday his mother was diagnosed with colon cancer.

As my mother progressed in her treatments, unfortunately his mother did not.
She later was diagnosed with stage four colon cancer which means it spread.
It made it to her liver causing "secondary liver cancer."
Her final days are upon her, on Friday she went into some sort of a sleep (not a coma)
and has not woken up since then, the hospice nurses says it is because her liver has shut down causing the toxins to build up in her body.

She has stopped eating and drinking as well...

Her husband of 54 years is on a trip in Europe and returns November 11th.
However we do not know if he can make it home in time to see his wife one last time.

The family is there, helping as much as they can and Victor has even taken a week off from school to spend full time with his mother.
I just want to lift the entire family up in prayer, I ask for God to give them strength and courage through this difficult time...
I ask for his mercy and grace to shine through this dark time.

I can understand how you feel.
I just recently had someone close pass away (we all suspect it was from cancer). The doctors never told us the truth.
But God gave us the peace we needed to get through that tough patch. My grandma accepted Christ a few weeks before she died. It was one of my mother's happiest moments, since she had been witnessing to her for years but she never gave way.

But I really hope everything turns out well.
God can do miracles. I've had other relatives be cured from cancer as well, with no scientific explanations as to how it happened.

I am sorry for your loss but I am glad God gave you peace.
That is what I prayed for last night, that God`s peace would blanket the family.
It is great that your grandmother accepted Christ! That is a blessing.

I think the miracle for my boyfriend`s mother would be everlasting peace.
She was in so much pain before she went into her sleep, I know God is calling her home it is her time.
I guess I am arrogant for saying this because I know God could bring her back to full health on his whim.
In any case I have faith his will - will be carried out. heart

Oh my gosh! I have just sent up a prayer and will continue to do so. Please, keep us posted. The feeling of losing a loved one is torture. But sometimes it hurts more to see someone you care for go through it, and you be unable to help them. I will be praying for you, your boyfriend, and his family...

God can do miracles of all sorts. and he is always there, he is your rock, shelter, and comforter. Give him everything and let him comfort you.

My grandmother is a breast cancer survivor of 14 years.

It may not seem like it but there is always hope..

Yes, it is never easy watching a loved one go through this but I have faith in the Lord. heart

Thank you for your prayers as well.
She is a devote Christian and preached about God through out this whole ordeal,
until she went into her sleep.
You are right though, we should read her the bible while she is in this state so we can keep nourishing her soul and faith.

I will watch the videos soon, thank you for giving them to me.

update; The family was able to contact Joanne`s (mother) husband while in Europe and he will be coming home tomorrow!
This is great news, he can be here in her last days which is what we all want for them.

In a weird turn of events though it seems Joanne is still asleep she screamed out for her husband.
Which is sad...she thought he was there I guess.
Other then that she has not woken up or had any improvements.

I know, my heart breaks for Bob, her husband he tried so hard to make it on time
but it just was not enough...He was so close.

I wanted you to know that on her last day they spent the entire day reading the bible and singing hymns to her and that is how she went.
