~ December Chuunin/Jounin Exams: Clash in the Land of Lightning! ~
Good evening, ladies and gents. I come to you with a special announcement; the Chuunin Exams in Mist are no longer taking place. Instead, they will be hosted in the Cloud Country. However...this exam has changed drastically from the previous one. Not only has your host changed (to me. ;D), but this exam has turned into a Chuunin/Jounin exam. On top of that, a deadline has been set. The date of these exams will be December 9th, and will continue for a while afterward. No portion of these exams can result in your opponent dying, or you will also be killed.
Part One:
The general concept of the exams is simple. Each entrant will be placed into a team of four--three genin, one Chuunin. Then, they will enter an area in the Kumo Peaks as designated by their proctor. There--depending on the number of Genin and Chuunin applicants--a certain number of flags will be scattered across the mountain in various locations. Like a gigantic game of capture-the-flag, the entrants will work as a team to capture at least three flags in order to receive the maximum score. As long as you get one flag, you will advance to the next round. However, the flags are easily destroyed, so part of the challenge is protecting your flag while taking the other person's without damaging it. The contest is no-holds-barred, so you can use whatever cheap, dirty tricks you have to attain victory. (Further explanation on this portion of the exam will happen at the beginning of this portion in roleplay.) In this portion of the exams, your score is based on how many flags you collected at the end. If you don't manage to get any flags, your team is eliminated by default. This portion of the exam will last for exactly one week IRL.
Part Two:
The second portion is a survival skill round. The teams will be--as before--in Kumo Peaks. Over the course of three days (Six days IRL. Each real life day is 1/2 a roleplaying day.), the combatants will camp out, launch surprise attacks, hunt, and battle for supplies in the forests and mountains of Kumo peaks. The more of your competition you skillfully defeat, the better your chances of success. Score is based upon the number of opponents you overcome and how well off you are in terms of supplies in the end.
Part Three:
The third portion is a team versus team series of matches. The teams will square off against each other in various types of battlefields, proving their skills as both individuals and as a team. As previously stated, there will be no killing. Any combatant that kills another will also be killed. After the first 'battle' post of the match, the battle will last for one week IRL. Your proctor will stop you when the battle is over, unless it ends before then, in which extra points are awarded to the victor.
Each of the exam portions are scored from 0 - 100. That means that a total of 300 points is attainable. In order to pass, the team in question must attain a score of at least 200 points in order to increase in rank. There are no separate scores; you and your partner work as one.
Best of luck.
