An ill-tempered former child prodigy and well-renowned Romantic composer aiming to have his name immortalized, 'Beethoven' was one day struck by a statement from a dear friend: "You may be famous now but with all the new talents coming up, you might be forgotten along the way." Realizing his career is on the decline, he migrates from place to place, working part-time as a pianist and full-time promoting his compositions until he comes home to England, realizing the only way he would be remembered was if he could make just one more composition that would amaze everyone. He tries his best to work on it but asides from the noise of the neighboring flats (apartments) and the constant meddling of other people such as the land lady and 'Clara Schumann', there's this kid (Mozart) lecturing him about how he should write his music! It gets to the point that he explodes into dramatic rants with just one syllable uttered. Will he ever finish his masterpiece~? ♪

Schubert, Liszt, Mendelssohn, Wagner and Tchaikovsky just to give you an idea of this glorious period in orchestral/chamber music ^.^
⒌ Also, that this ISN'T steampunk. It's realistic.

ＢＥＥＴＨＯＶＥＮ
- frustrated composer trying to create his 'redeeming masterpiece' despite all the nuisance around and the incompetence of the orchestra he was able to commission

ＭＯＺＡＲＴ
- a child prodigy (age: 6-10) that speaks in a formal, fluent way when lecturing the frustrated composer about how he should write his music. His talents are not known by many yet, giving him a lot of time to bum around the flats and act cute towards everyone except the frustrated composer. He's biologically related to the landlady (e.g. nephew, son, etc)

ＬＡＮＤＬＡＤＹ
- always claiming to be on the verge of bankruptcy, the landlady is merely a greedy woman who frequently collects 'extra charges' not-so-secretly to fund her vices

ＣＬＡＲＡ ＷＩＥＣＫ ＳＣＨＵＭＡＮＮ
- a strong-willed woman infatuated with the frustrated composer. She makes several attempts to see/talk to/hear him during the day. She has musical talents herself but if she were to form a career out of it, it wouldn't last long seeing as she is engaged to be married to another man already

ＭＲ. ＳＣＨＵＭＡＮＮ
- he was chosen by the infatuated woman's parents to be her husband as a good, respectable man with a stable career. He's very much in love with 'Clara' even if she shuns him away, insisting on repairing their relationship before thoughts of marriage are to be discussed. He views the frustrated composer as his rival for her heart

ＲＩＶＡＬ
- he finds happiness in finding 'Beethoven' frustrated and mocks him openly though he himself cannot even be considered a worthy 'rival' by others or even by the frustrated composer himself

ＯＲＣＨＥＳＴＲＡ ＭＥＭＢＥＲＳ
- generally incompetent and clumsy, they also tend to ask stupid questions not because they think it's fun but that they're just really confused. The maestro is about just as bad as the rest of the orchestra labeled "music teachers' worst fear"
