From the beginning there was something special about this stallion. Marked by Fate and destined for much joy and sorrow. He would walk a harsh and treacherous path. And in so doing he would touch lives and change the fates of others. He would, against his will, become a leader. One worthy of respect.

Name:Giolladhe
Meaning: 'golden'
Temper: dutiful
Personality: Inquisitive, lively and bright, the stallion matured quickly because of the burdens placed on his shoulders at a very young age. Due to said responsibilities, he has learned to place duty first before anything else, though deep down, he longs for the chance to cast off the shackles of his position and find out who he is.

Please don't be offended if I turn any soq down for the more specific plots I am looking for ( I have fairly particular ideas about the roles). That said, I will not turn down general rp, provided it's not just a meet'n'greet. I would like to have some substance to the rps.

-Giolladhe's History-

When he was a very young foal, Gio was adopted by his herd’s mystic and second-in-command who had no heirs, and groomed to take over the position. He was a brightly lively colt with an insatiable curiosity and desire to learn.

He was encouraged in his pursuits and not coddled. From the beginning he was made aware that he would suffer the consequences of his actions. This forced him to actually think things through.

When he was a young adult, his mentor died and he was forced to take his position and bear the weights and responsibilities, which many thought he was yet too young to handle. But he proved he was more than ready to take his place among the herd during the investiture ceremony where he voluntarily gave up his sight and took the marks of the herd Mystic.

At the ceremony as the paste which would mark him as special, different- the herd’s mystic- set apart, he bore the scarring of his eyes and loss of his sight without a whimper, proving that he was willing to suffer for his charge.

New to his position, the very young stallion literally stumbled upon a solitary basket during one of his walks to clear his mind. Not sensing any parents around, he couldn’t leave the poor defenseless thing to be destroyed. So he carefully dragged it back to the herd and announced his intentions to adopt the foal, sight unseen. The herd matriarch denied his request, but upon hearing the story, she relented enough that the foal would be taken in, but the duty to raise it would not be added to his burdens- the herd would band together and take their turns to care for the little one. But if it was his desire, the mystic would allow him to claim it as his sibling.

Though the entire herd was rather amazed to find that the newest member was a mere regular, and they didn’t know her physical limitations, so they treated her as glass. Early after hatching, Gio convinced the herd elders to give his “sister” the same markings he bore, showing that she was family of the mystic, that she was under his protection.

Then came the day that broke his heart. He was forced to put the safety of the herd before the ties of family. He did what all believed was right, including the sister he was cruelly betraying. He brought to the attention of the other herd leaders the existence of a danger to the herd- in the form of his sister. Steeled to banish her himself, the young stallion was shocked when the council was needed to come to a decision.

In the end, she had taken it upon herself to leave. Though it broke his heart, he let her leave. Though he promised that one day, he would see her again.

Shortly after Liliah was exiled, great disaster struck the herd, and it was decimated, the few survivors scattered to the four winds. Giolladhe made his way to the Kawani lands, hoping to find his sister.

- Others to help (whether through healing –which he isn’t that great at, being only partially healer trained, Advice –he is very well learned etc.) Which would help him in turn

Chapter 4: Adulthood (Balancing Karma and A New Home)
-Those needing a protector, guardian, knight in shining armor etc

- A new herd to belong to. (No, he would not be a founder, as he is not comfortable in the role of leader but where he could be a second or third)
- a mare or stallion attempted love interest ( a failed romance/ no baskets would result) --- There could be more than one

-Chapter 1 plots-

Duty to the Herd: As a higher ranking member of the herd, no matter how young, to help the stability of the herd, Giolladhe was betrothed to another member of the herd. (pure uni only, will not lead to breeding)

Unease and Impending Disaster: Giolladhe is not the only member of the herd who feels uneasy about the future. Other members of the herd (kirin, unicorn and non-kalona crosses of these breeds only) come to him with evidence of impending disaster- signs of kalona/skinwalkers in the area, signs of illness,actual sightings etc- or else these who come to him for council regarding their uneasiness, or come to ask for his blessing to leave the herd and start over elsewhere.

Broken Betrothal: With all the events and chaos in the herd, Giolladhe feels his role advising the herd is more important than mating, and so breaks the betrothal. (though if at all possible he would remain/become good friends with the mare) And the mare leaves the herd to travel to Kawani.

Annihilation: After herd is weakened by members leaving, and some coming down with an especially potent sickness which kills most of the older soq and foals, the herd is targeted by a Skinwalker or Kalona who kill most of those left... Giolladhe is left alive, perhaps because his disability makes him not worth the villain's effort to kill. Or perhaps to taunt him. Whatever the reason, he lives.

A Harsh Welcome: After the herd is destroyed Gio is in bad shape physically and emotionally. He leaves the land his herd wandered and makes his way to the Kawani lands. He collapses just inside the kawani borders. (needed, a healer)

Whispers on the Wind: After recovering from his injuries, Giolladhe begins wandering the lands and hears rumours of Lils. Knowing she is alive
gives him a purpose. (soq or multiple who enjoy spreading rumours and gossip)

-Chapter 2 Plots-

Meeting of Broken Hearts: After a run-in with his sister that went terribly wrong, he went away heartbroken. He meets another who has a similar hurt. They comfort each other, and she ends up pregnant.

Seperate Ways: Lumriel and Giolladhe part ways (amicably). Lumriel to reunite with the stallion she loved and Giolladhe could continue on journeying.

In Over My Head: Giolladhe does the best he can, trying to take care of himself and the basket. But he is blind and his disability is often a hinderance. He is also not sure how to take care of the basket and foal to come. He finds someone to teach him how to be a single parent.

Basketnapped?: One day Giolladhe leaves the basket in the area he calls home, at least for the time being, so he can gather food and supplies at the edge of the territory. While he is otherwise preoccupied, a soquili stumbles upon the basket and either tries to return it or tries to steal it for their own (or both)

After the fling, Giolladhe starts to fall into despair. His life has seemed to go wrong and he doesn't feel like himself. He is fragile and loses his sense of identity. But after reaching the bottom, the only way to go is up.

Somewhere to Call Home:All his life, he has wandered from place to place, First as a foal through adulthood when he was a part of a herd of wandering healers, then after tragedy struck when he was force to journey to the Kawani lands. Now he is 'looking' for a place to call home. But each territory seems to be occupied....

Cliched adoption/mentor plot: Giolladhe loves foals - as proved when he found and adopted Lils when he found her abandoned as a basket. Once he is stable, he would like to find a foal he could either raise as his own or a foal he could mentor in the art of healing.

Teach Me To See: Though his herd is no more and it is not strictly necessary to remain blind, he does so out of a sense of guilt. He needs someone to make him understand that it is ok for him to get his eyes healed so he can see again or that if he decides to remain blind for the rest of his life, that he can let go of the guilt he feels, put the past behind him, and just live.

Let Me Heal You: He is a unicorn, and even though his particular forte isn't healing, he knows how and has the capability, and even more he can't stand by when someone is hurt. So he stumbles upon someone who has been injured, and offers his aid- from there he can either be told to shove it, his help could be greatly appreciated, or he can be allowed to heal them though the other soquili is suspicious of his motives.
