Lobby and Reception Area

Welcome to St. Mungo's!

This is where all witches and wizards arrive at St. Mungo's. To enter the premises, one may step through the window of what appears to be a red-bricked, condemned department store called Purge and Dowse, Ltd. This acts as a magical gateway to the main building, much like the barrier at King's Cross Station to Platform Nine and Three-Quarters. The interior, on the other hand, looks exactly as a hospital should.

The hospital is located where it is because no one could find a better place to house it. Everywhere in Diagon Alley was too small, so people came up with ideas to build it underground like the Ministry of Magic, but it was decided that underground was too unhealthy. Eventually, a normal Muggle building was purchased so that patients could come and go and fit in with the crowds.

Floors

Ground Floor - Reception and Artefact Accidents
In the reception area, a Welcome Witch sits at a desk marked Inquiries. The receptionist helps anyone who is unsure where to go, incapable of normal speech, or unable to remember why they are at the Hospital.

Artefact Accidents deals with cauldron explosions, wands backfiring, broom crashes, and so forth.

First Floor - Creature-Induced Injuries
Location of the "Dangerous" Dai Llewellyn Ward for serious bites.
Addresses bites, stings, burns, embedded spines, etc.

Second Floor - Magical Bugs and Diseases
Addresses contagious maladies such as dragon pox, Vanishing Sickness, and Scrofungulus.

Third Floor - Potions and Plant Poisoning
Addresses rashes, regurgitation, uncontrollable giggling, and more.

Fourth Floor - Spell Damage
Addresses unliftable jinxes, hexes, incorrectly-applied charms, etc.

Fifth Floor - Visitors' Tearoom and Hospital Shop
A place for visitors to relax and purchase gifts for patients.

Training and Requirements

This is for those interested in becoming Welcome Witches for the Lobby and Reception Area.

Applicants for the job must be over the age of seventeen.

Must be willing to work with people and be able to point visitors in the correct direction within St. Mungo's (e.g. where the applications are, where their family and friends are located, etc.).

This is a roleplay area for visitors and Welcome Witches for the Lobby and Reception Area.

 

[Ronyo Storm]

With a pop the wizard in white appeared in a swirl in the main reception area of ST. Mungos, the hospital for witches and wizards or all ages. The startled staff looked on with a mixture of confusion and disbelief that someone dressed like that would just appear in the hospital of all places. The looks did not concern him however as he opened his arms to show the two children, his staff having been placed back in its pouch as they arrived.

"I need someone here now! This girl has been badly cut by a curse spell and likely harmed by other means. The boy needs to be looked after as well, check him over to be sure! There is a woman who has likely been brainwashed by magic in the Bleiddiaid residence, she should be in the lower levels of the house. She is not in her right mind and need immediate psychiatric help!" The White Fox looked at the staff who still seemed to be in some kind of daze before he yelled at them again, "Move it people NOW! "

The nurses and a few doctors snapped out of the odd feeling and moved quickly to attend to the children and begin treating them on the spot with quick first aid healing magic before being transferred to proper locations. The nurses who looked over Remy were horrified when they found the girls mouth wired shut and the deep cuts still healing some from the slashing curse. As the White Fox moved away from the medical team one of them looked to him as he was leaving and asked him for a name.

"The White Fox is what I'm called, " with that he vanished from the building knowing the children would be cared for.

Romy clung to his sister as they arrived in the huge hospital. The nurses separated them, and he freaked out. "I need her! REMY!" he screamed in his panic. He was terrified, alone and away from his sister. He watched the man that had brought them left. He struggled to reach Remy, crying and fighting to get to her.

Ⓡⓔⓜⓨ looked around as bet she could. Her body hurt, her jaw hurt, and her mind was abuzz. She turned her head to look at Romy, and tried to crack a grin. Her mind was obviously spinning, half from the remains of the Dreamless Sleep potion, and half from blood loss. She finally succumbed to faint, passing out in the arms of the nurses.

Tamara appeared in the lobby of the hospital with a loud pop and approached the desk. "I'm looking for Remy and Romulus Bleiddiaid. They were brought in by a strange man in a funny mask." The nurse immediately remembered who she was talking about and directed her towards where they brought Romulus. Tamara knocked on the door. "Romulus? I'm Tamara Radcliffe, the one who saved you. How are you doing?"

Romy looked up at the woman from the chair he was sitting in. "Thank you, Miss Radcliffe." he said quietly. He didn't know why he had been placed alone in this room, or where his sister had been taken, but he was terrified. His huge blue eyes were filled with emotion, and he wanted to be somewhere safe.

Tamara smiled at the boy and nodded to him. "You are very welcome, Romulus. Let's go find your sister now, okay? Then I'll bring both of you to the Hawthorns." She motioned for Romulus to follow her and rose to her full height. Her protective side was showing, the side that led her to murdering Erinwen so he could never harm either of these two again.

Romy nodded and followed Tamara to the hall. "What happened to Remy? A-are you her new Mum?" he asked. Maybe it was this nice lady to adopt her! He walked a bit faster and took the woman's hand. He was afraid to be alone right now. Afraid of what might happen if he was overlooked.

Tamara shook her head when Romulus asked if Tam was Rey's new mother. "No, I'm not. I'm just a friend, concerned about her. Let's just say I see a young me in her." She ruffled Romulus' hair and stopped at a room. "Ah, here she is. Remy, I brought your brother," Tammy said as she opened the door.

Ⓡⓔⓜⓨ had barely awoken when the door was opened. She saw Tam and Romy, and offered them a tipsy smile. Her head was swimming from the various potions and spells she had been submitted to. Her body was completely numb, and she looked a wreck. Her left arm was in a sling and her teeth were still wired together, but she couldn't handle any more work on her right now. Her normally bright eyes were dull and glazed over, and her skin was pallid.

Tammy patted Romulus on the head and walked into the room. She sat beside Remy and smiled to the girl. "Erinwen has been taken care of. He'll never bother you or your brother again." Tamara glanced over at Romulus and motioned for him to come over. "When the healers get the wires off your teeth, I'm going to bring you and Romulus to the Hawthorns. I'm sure they're expecting you."
