Personality : Upon first glance, Kynthelig might appear to be a watery Grim Reaper. And in a sense, one could argue they are. A better comparison might be that of the Charon for Kynthelig is a guide to lost souls at sea. Anyone that ventures too far out, or loses their way, whether they be a land dweller some how marooned or a fellow creature of the sea, Kynthelig will be sure you find your way home. They are rather harmless and quite shy when not acting as guide, tending to stick to themselves out of fear for what others will see them as. However, they do get lonely and will venture closer to some of the sea herds. Mostly, Kynthelig just remains ever a loner with his faithful jellyfish companion.
Bit of History
During one of their bouts of unbearable loneliness, Kynthelig found itself lurking near a medium sized herd of very vain seathi. The herd did not realize it had gained an unofficial member at first, but word quickly spread of an eerie creature that haunted their waters. Feeling this was a possible threat, they sent out their strongest members to investigate and take care of the issue. They found Kynthelig and tried to frighten them out of their territory. It worked for a brief time, until the loneliness struck again.
When Kynthelig returned, they were more aware of how their appearance would affect the locals. So they tried to stay hidden but close enough to ease the longing for companionship.
It was by chance that one lone seathi happened across the glowing, skeletal mer. Unlike his herdmates, this stallion did not fear him. Lokni had never quite fit in among his vain herdmates and tended to drift away from them during the day. He was the first being to befriend the undead dragon mer.
Lokni and Kynthelig had their own little adventures, with the seathi stallion helping a couple times in guiding lost souls back to the sanctuary of land. But their secret was not to last, and the seathi herd discovered what one of their own had been harboring. In a fit of outrage, the tried to battle the quiet undead dragon of the sea, but were instead met with Lokni. He fought his own kin to protect Kynthelig, knowing their ways were wrong. It was in a rare fit of fear fueled anger that Kynthelig attacked the herd as they watched their one and only friend get battered and overwhelmed. They didn't mean to kill anyone. They just didn't comprehend how much stronger and larger they were.
Lokni and Kynthelig escaped, the seathi forever outcast from his herd and home. Together the two haunted loners drifted about the sea, searching for a place where they might belong.

Personality : Patient and accepting. Always willing to help those that ask. Does not like rude individuals nor does he approve of treating another poorly. He feels like Kynthelig's babysitter most of the time.

Personality : A very caring soul deep down, life has hardened this kirin into the cold warrior he's become. At a young age, he wanted to grow to be a great protector of his herd. Myridian worked hard to find peaceful ways in which one could defend those that you loved. He was a rising star that let his pride go to his head. And then his younger brother disappeared. It felt as if the ground had been ripped from under his hooves. His ultimate goal in life was to be the best protector of his herd. Yet he couldn't protect his own brother. The loss hit Myridian hard. He became distant and focused only on becoming stronger until he was ready to set out and find his brother.
Loyal to a fault, Myridian will protect those he considers friend and family with his all. He is no fool and does not wish to see blood, but he IS a warrior. It is his duty to be a defender of the weak and make sure that nothing happens to those he loves ever again.

Personality : While she and her sister, Arlii, are both sassy and possess a strong desire to protect, Arlii takes the hard-headed and stubborn award and Fini dominates in curiosity. She likes to understand what she sees or hears before making judgmental decisions about it. Why does that trees bark turn white while this ones is thinner and darker in color? This usually leads her to getting into some trouble with her herd elders, as there are plenty of things having to do with their legends and history she questions in an attempt to understand better. Or just annoy them. She is not as deeply religious as some of the other members of her herd, but Fini is loyal to them almost to a fault. Sure she might question if there really is Chaos tainting her sister, or if she just has amazing markings. Or if that storm is just coincidental and not the Gods communicating with the herd.
Because she has such a curious nature and likes to explore, Fini was graced with the rank of Chaos Lightning Warden in her herd. It was a very honored rank and some argue she doesn't deserve it - much like they argue her sister shouldn't be herd leader. But Fini's curiosity and ability to observe make her a strong scout as does her desire to protect her family. She'll do anything to ensure they remain safe, even setting aside her childish ways. At least until she harasses the elders again!
