Wind Spells
______________________________
Note: A Wind spell will always be beaten by a Fire spell of a rank lower, equal to, or higher than it.
All E-rank techniques are considered 'cantrips' and do not take slots to learn.

E-rank
Wind Clone
Rank: E | Strength: E | Speed: E
Description: A physical clone formed of wind. It is easily bested by any sort of attack, but this clone is still better than the average clone as it is able to attack and be attacked.
Wind Levitation
Rank: E | Strength: -- | Speed: --
Description: Utilizing and controlling the wind, the user is able to force wind beneath an object in order to force it to rise up from the ground. The effectiveness of this spell is very much dependent upon the weight of the object in question. The weight limit for this technique caps out at twenty [20] pounds (9kg).
Wind Manipulation
Description: This control allows the user to create and bend wind. Not only can it take any form the user desires, but it can also be shifted around as if it were a part of their own body. It should be noted that one can manipulate wind both that they created and naturally occurring. Additionally, any wind that is being freely manipulated is not very strong, and can be broken or blown away as if it were completely natural. It should be noted that techniques can be made smaller while retaining their rank.
tab Rank E: Very small amount of wind [a small breeze].
tab Rank D: Small amount of wind [a weak gust].
tab Rank C: Medium amount of wind [a strong gust].
tab Rank B: Large amount of wind [a whirlwind].
tab Rank A: Very large amount of wind [a dust devil].
tab Rank S: Massive amount of wind [a tornado].
• Requires [5] parts of a paragraph to learn, but is not required to learn other Wind spells. Receives no reductions.
• Manipulated wind loses any modifiers, and is beaten by techniques of the same rank, or one rank lower against fire.
Vacuum Sword
Rank: E | Strength: E | Speed: E
Description: The user swings their weapon and a gust of wind is released in the arc that it was swung in. The technique is strong enough to stop projectiles that are thrown at the user.
Projectile Control
Rank: E | Strength: E | Speed: E
Description: Utilizing power over the wind, the user can control thrown objects. A basic skill for those learning to master the art of wind control. The user can utilize his or her powers over wind to aid the speed and trajectory of his or her projectile, or even redirect objects thrown at them. This can be used to either speed up or slow down up to five [5] projectiles by a half [.5] rank.

D-rank
Wind Explosion
Rank: D | Strength: D | Speed: D
Description: Wind is gathered with mana into a swirling ball that is hurled towards the opponent. The ball explodes on impact, knocking back the target causing minor cuts on the target's body if a direct hit. However, it affects a rather small area, only about one [1] meter in radius.
Gale Surge
Rank: D | Strength: E | Speed: C
Description: A defensive technique. The user distills the air around them and, at the exact moment an attack is about to hit, releases a large burst of air. The blast of wind covers a one [1] meter area, knocks a victim back, and can stop projectiles. It is a defensive move that is usually used when the user is caught off guard. The wind can only be released in one direction.
Vacuum Blade
Rank: D | Strength: D | Speed: --
Description: The user exhales mana-infused air onto a weapon in order to increase its sharpness, range and lethality. For example, the user can infuse a kunai to resemble a makeshift scimitar or infuse shuriken to increase their range or cutting power. Good for one [1] weapon for one [1] post, and it can change one [1] aspect of the weapon: size, range, strength by a half [.5] rank, or speed by a half [.5] rank.
Cutting Wind
Rank: D | Strength: C | Speed: E
Description: Using mana and a weapon, the user creates a tornado that surrounds and slashes at objects, affecting a conical area in front of it. Like a real tornado, the wind expands as it travels and hits larger targets. The wind disappears after being shot for ten [10] meters and at most it widens to five [5] meters. This technique can severely cut and knock back opponents, and most D-Ranked elemental spells are dispelled when they are hit by this spell. The tornado moves slowly and is easy to dodge.
Bursting Air Pockets
Rank: D | Strength: -- | Speed: D
Description: Focusing on the air around them, the user is capable of causing parts of the wind to “burst” suddenly, causing anything nearby to be knocked aside. The burst does not do any damage however, and its primary purpose is to interrupt and leave the enemy open for further attacks. However the bursts can only be created within a twenty meter radius of the user and only at spots they are able to see.
Spinning Wind Shield
Rank: D | Strength: D | Speed: --
Description: The user expels mana to cause the wind to spin rapidly in a circular motion, creating a shield. The shield will deflect whatever is thrown at it back toward the enemy at the same speed it was fired, albeit at one [1] rank reduced strength. Only works on projectiles and spells C-Ranked and under. The user can keep the shield going for an upkeep of half the original cost, however techniques and projectiles they use will be deflected back at them as well.
Dust Wind
Rank: D | Strength: -- | Speed: --
Description: Using a fan or similarly shaped object, the user will blow a strong current which will cover the surrounding area in dust. This dust will serve to loosen the footing for any opponent who walks nearby, causing them to lose their stance, if any, and blinding them. Dust kicked up settles again after one [1] post.
Propelling Winds
Rank: D | Strength: -- | Speed: D
Description: By letting loose a short blast of air from their hands, the user is able to fly in the opposite direction with considerable force. Can be used to either move very quickly to the side, or even propel the user up to ten [10] meters directly upward.
Decapitating Air Waves
Rank: D | Strength: C | Speed: E
Description: The user releases a large blast of wind directly from the palms of the hands, extending about three [3] meters forward. The gust is strong enough to break rock.
