Fire Spells
______________________________
Note: A Fire spell will always be beaten by a Water spell of a rank lower, equal to, or higher than it..
All E-rank techniques are considered 'cantrips' and do not take slots to learn.

E-rank
Fire Resistance
Rank: Passive | Strength: -- | Speed: --
Description: This is a passive ability that is the first in two steps to protect the user from damaging themselves with their very own fire spells. Although not necessarily mandatory to learn the finer points of the tree, it does provide a buffer against self-inflicting injuries. For example the user is able to withstand increasing amounts of heat, up to their experience rank.
Blinding Veil
Rank: E | Strength: -- | Speed: --
Description: A stalling spell which really only helps novices in this stage of learning acclimate themselves to the less subtle methods of fire. Performing the necessary seals, the user claps their hand in front of them and a hot white flash erupts from their hands that blind people in the closest vicinity. With this opening, the user is able to make a hasty escape or even move in for a killing blow. The severity of the flash, however, lasts only a moment and causes only spots to appear until an opponent’s sight becomes clear again. Reduces physical speed by a half [.5] rank for one [1] post.
Fire Manipulation
Rank: X | Strength: X | Speed: X
Description: This control allows the user to create and bend fire. Not only can it take any form the user desires, but it can also be shifted around as if it were a part of their own body. It should be noted that one can manipulate fire both that they created and naturally occurring. Additionally, any fire that is being freely manipulated is not very strong, and can be broken or blown away as if it were completely natural. It should be noted that techniques can be made smaller while retaining their rank.
tab Rank E: Very small amount of fire [a spark].
tab Rank D: Small amount of fire [a palm-sized fireball].
tab Rank C: Medium amount of fire [a campfire].
tab Rank B: Large amount of fire [a bonfire].
tab Rank A: Very large amount of fire [a roomful of fire].
tab Rank S: Massive amount of fire [a house-sized fire blast].
• Requires [5] parts of a paragraph to learn, but is not required to learn other fire spells. Receives no reductions.
• Manipulated fire loses any modifiers, and is beaten by techniques of the same rank, or one rank lower against water.
Flare
Rank: E | Strength: E | Speed: E
Description: By molding mana into ones lungs properly, they are able to exhale a short burst of heat and flame which basically explodes from the mouth. The fire itself actually only lasts for about a second. But its effect is that it illuminates dark places, if only for but a few seconds. Can also cause very minor burns.
Cinder
Rank: E | Strength: E | Speed: E
Description: This spell allows a person to snap their fingers and ignite a spark anywhere they so wish. A simple spark and no more, this spell is used mostly in pranks and the like.

D-rank
Mist Waltz
Rank: D | Strength: D | Speed: --
Official Description: The user does a string of hand seals and then proceeds to blow a large combustible mist at the target. When the mist hits flame, it will ignite in an explosion of fire.
Flaming Projectile
Rank: D | Strength: -- | Speed: --
Official Description: This technique uses mana to coat a projectile in fire. It is done so that the user first throws the item, then exhales from his or her mouth a small flame that ignites the mana-coated projectile. If the attack succeeds, not only will your opponent be hurt by the item, but they will also suffer from burns. Adds D ranked fire to user's small weapon attacks for one [1] post, and each use of the technique can imbue up to three [3] projectiles.
Burning Cinder
Rank: D | Strength: D | Speed: D
Description: After learning to control the basic aspects of Fire the user can create a small amount of burning cinders in their mouth before spitting them out at an opponent. This would be enough to cause irritation to the opponent's skin and eyes.
Flaming Palm
Rank: D | Strength: E | Speed: C
Description: This spell allows the user to form and hold a spark in their hand. They then amplify it with their mana until it is a small flame. Slamming an open fist into the target, they push the flame into their opponent, causing clothes to burst into flames or minor burns to appear on the body.
Flame Spread
Rank: D | Strength: D | Speed: --
Description: This spell allows the user to extend a flame from their hand to any weapon or item they may be holding. This creates a surrounding layer of flame around the object, but the object is unharmed. This can only extend to a length of 3 feet maximum, or the length of a medium sized sword. Lasts three [3] posts before an upkeep of half the original cost is required to keep the technique going.
Ember Clone
Rank: D | Strength: E/C | Speed: D
Description: A basic spell wherein the user will call forth a corporeal clone of themselves, crafted from flame. At this level, the clone is quite weak and can only really serve as a distraction more so than a viable combat replacement. However, it does have its uses, which, alongside detonating upon destruction or on command, are numerous. The clone only has E-rank strength but the explosion can deal C-rank damage.
Flash Fan
Rank: D | Strength: D | Speed: D
Description: A fairly simple spell, the user breathes in a fair amount of air while performing the necessary seals and breathes it out in a short funnel of flame. Literally lasting only a few seconds, it explodes out of the mouth in a v-like wave and is a commonly used technique among users who like to build into their attacks. The range of this flame, however, is about three [3] meters and the flame itself isn’t held long enough to deal any real damage. Therefore, it isn’t necessarily a viable offensive option as compared to other spells.
Hot Hug
Rank: D | Strength: D | Speed: --
Description: When the user grabs the enemy, the user's body heats incredibly. The heat can cause minor burns on the victim's skin. If a complete circle is made around the opponent with the user's arms, a microwave effect is caused as well, beginning to cook them from the inside out after two [2] full posts. Effect is stopped if the opponent breaks the circle. Technique can be maintained for an upkeep cost equivalent to the original cost.
