You o f f e n d my D E L I C A T E little sensibilities....
Listening to the young boy's sharing admittedly brought about a nostalgic feeling in him. As Monty told him about what his mother and he did back in his home in Germany, it brought back a pang of longing for his own mother. When he had shared his own experiences with his father- - - which were the most fresh and the most vivid in his mind- - - what he had not expected was the emotional outburst the ash-blonde had had once he jokingly- - - or not- - - referred to himself as a 'horrible child.' Looking down at the boy, stunned, blue eyes met fiery hazel, the elder shocked at the amount of passion in the boy's voice and what he had said.
"Big brother?" he asked, still in disbelief. "Monty, did you just.....?"
He hadn't ever thought anyone would refer to him as big brother. Maybe once, a long time ago, when his mother was still here and he used to talk and run himself ragged telling stories about his day to his baby-sibling-in-the-tummy, prattling on about the things he did and the things they would do when his sibling had grown up. He had referred to himself using that term then, just like his parents did. It had been a long time, since then.
.... My sexy blonde (and delicate!) N A T U R I S T sensibilities.

ᴄᴏʀᴀ walked through the pumpkin patch with her family, outerly serene, though she was actually quite annoyed. Her two twelve year olds had vanished on her, and she didn't think it was an accident. She should have expected this by now, but after the last festival or any sort they'd been too... she wanted all her children where she could see them. She bit back a sigh, noticing Vi looking at her with concern. "I'm fine, sweetie," she assured the little girl, picking up a small pumpkin and showing it to her. "Look at this little thing. It's like a baby, isn't it?" she smiled gently.
ɢᴀʀʀᴇᴛᴛ had an excited as usual Thea perched on his shoulders, who was crowing in delight at all the pumpkins. He glanced at Cora. "Ya know, if you're really worried, we could go root 'em. Yell at 'em in front of their mates, ruin their social lives forever," he joked with a grin. She just shook her head, muttering something about how they would never hear the end of it if they didn't "magically" reappear within the hour.
ᴜʀɪᴇʟ walked alongside his family, minus the twins, content. All the pumpkins were really cool, after all, and without Jess and Toby things were nice and calm, just the way he liked them. He smiled when Vi silently showed him the small pumpkin she'd hesitantly taken from Cora. "Look what Auntie found," she said so very quietly her cousin almost didn't hear her.
Uriel laughed. "It's pretty cute, huh?"
She nodded.
ᴇʟᴇᴀᴢᴀʀ trailed behind his older brother, talking happily with Thea. Despite the age difference, the two chatted like best friends, since he never talked down to his little sister, and she actually acted more mature around him, as if remembering when it had just been the two of them, alone on the streets. "Can we carve pumpkins this year?" he asked eagerly, getting a typical adult response of "maybe, we'll see". He seemed hopeful anyways, knowing his parents would cave eventually.
ᴠɪ stared at the small pumpkin like it was a treasure, ad clutched it like priceless gold. It was just so...adorable. She poked and prodded at it as she walked, humming an odd tune to herself. For once she seemed happy to be just doing nothing, outdoors, with her family. Though she missed Toby giving her a piggyback ride.
ᴛʜᴇᴀ pointed and gasped at the size of several huge pumpkins. "Daddy! Mumma! Look at that one! Ooh, and that one! They're so big!" She looked down at Eleazar from her perch, beaming. "Do ya see them, Lea?"
He nodded sagely.

I burn, burn like a wicker cabinet, chalk white and oh so frail I see our time has gotten stale The tick tock of the clock is painful All sane and logical, I want to tear it off the wall I hear words and clips and phrases I think sick like ginger ale My stomach turns and I exhale
I would swallow my pride, I would choke on the rinds But the lack thereof would leave me empty inside Swallow my doubt turn it inside out Find nothin' but faith in nothin' Want to put my tender, heart in a blender Watch it spin around to a beautiful oblivion Rendezvous then I'm through with you Dhyl couldn't contain his laugh, so instead the sound erupted from him, making him seem a bit more odd than normal. After the girl had been safely set back on the ground, the tall teen looked her over to make sure she wasn't too rumpled up. When informed that orange loved the girl, Dhyl gave a nod. "You look good in any color, Ari. You should know that. I've seen you pull a load of colors off before!" He nodded enthusiastically, beaming in happiness. {OoC:}

Now that she's back in the atmosphere With drops of Jupiter in her hair, hey, hey, hey She acts like summer and walks like rain Reminds me that there's a time to change, hey, hey, hey Since the return from her stay on the moon She listens like spring and she talks like June, hey, hey, hey
Chris chuckled, smiling. "Maybe brooding is the wrong word then, obsess, probably. Our father's a workaholic, and he spends as much time at his office as he can. Mostly because he likes the work, but he's single-minded that way. You know how that is." He thought for a moment, thinking of things they could do together, but ended up shrugging. Well, he could always take her out for something to eat, right? It didn't bother him to do that. "Well, how about dinner then? I mean, maybe actually get out and about and well, have some times to ourselves without potential stalkers, I mean. Can't be too hard, right? I'm pretty sure there's a pub or something around we can go to. And my sister's with a friend. He's basically got her all night." If the way he was not worried about his sister concerned anyone, they didn't know Eretria. After all, he was convinced that anyone do anything wrong, and they would be in real trouble from her, and not him or Chalmes. After all, she had a wand, and knew how to use it.
But tell me, did you sail across the sun? Did you make it to the Milky Way to see the lights all faded And that heaven is overrated? Tell me, did you fall for a shooting star – One without a permanent scar? And did you miss me while you were looking for yourself out there?

"Nope. You can pull it off. Trust me, dahlink." He was teasing, using his stepmom's favorite word "darling" and accenting it in the annoying way she did, even if he was using it ironically, since Ari didn't actually know the woman. A blush touched the boy's cheeks, but he tipped his gaze to the sky, effectively hiding much of his face from the shorter girl. {OoC:}

((OOC: outfit in picture)) Ariana laughed when Dhylan called her "darling" in a funny accent. She hadn't understood that he was quoting, or making fun of, his step mother. Instead, she thought it was just Dhyl being.. well, Dhyl. He was a funny, awkward, and sweet boy, so Ari didn't think anything of it. "If one of us can pull off orange, it would be you," she stated. After all, he was the pale one with black hair. Orange would look ace on him. On a synthetically redhead girl with lightly tanned skin, that colour wouldn't turn out to be one of the better choices.
