Yvonne admired what her family had done with the home for Philip and Chelsea’s wedding. Having lived at the home for several years until she and Jonas were allowed to live together, she understood that her aunt thought family was important – even if her first marriage was a failure. But out of her second one, Cordelia was born, who then later had two children of her own around the time that Matthew and Tobias were born which caused the women to strengthen their friendship. Yvonne’s aunt and Tristan had also decided to adopt two more children, one of which was whose wedding she was at. Although her aunt believed in God, she wasn’t overly religious and all of her children were able to move in with their significant others prior to marriage. As for Yvonne, she lived in her aunt’s home until her wedding day.
She loved Jonas – he was a good man. However, it would have been nice to have learned to cohabitate prior to getting engaged like a normal person. At least he wasn’t wildly against getting intimate prior to marriage although that had definitely taken a lot of convincing on her part and two years of patience. Yves chuckled to herself, knowing full well that his parents never thought their eldest could ever dare to sin. She could only imagine their reaction if they ever found out. Those crazy people, she thought to herself. Jonas was still quite religious, however, so the couple agreed to raise their boys as Christians but not to overdo it as neither parent wanted their son to grow up, thinking they’d be damned if they had pre-marital sex (or any of the other reasons why one might be damned to Hell).
