Presently: Riidkii, who's name means Noble Protector, came from a distant land. He was the third son of the forest's ruler and king. He never had a great desire to rule, though he often was at odds with his father and older brothers on the subject of leadership.
Riidkii felt that to lead, one must care for their people. That all decisions should be made for the good of the group and not any individual. He did not take his name to mean he was better than others, but rather embraced the other meanings of Noble. He would strive towards excellence, be admirable in dignity, and of exalted moral character. Or at least come as close as he could to those goals.
But his family did not see Nobility the same way. And while he loves them, he could not stay without confronting their manners and rule. And while he ached for those who fell under the rule of his father, he knew nothing was done for cruelty. There was no intent to harm, and often decisions were made that did benefit the whole. It was the belief behind the decisions that Riidkii had problems with.
So he left. His journey was long, often barely looking up as he plodded through strange lands. His mind worked as he traveled, trying to decide what he should do.
Riidkii encountered spirits upon his journey who spoke into his heart, each granting him understanding, guidance and wisdom. When Riidkii was in the mountains a final spirit visited him. It directed him down a path and into a valley. The sight of the valley took Riidkii's breath away. A clear stream ran along one side, morning fog still clinging to the nearby mountains. A single maple tree wreathed in the fire of fall stood in the middle of the valley.
Riidkii knew that this place could be a home. But more, that it could be a refuge. Here he would build the society that would benefit all of its people. There would be no 'ruler' no king. None would be over the others who would not work alongside them. There must be one to make decisions, counseled by those who were wise and knowledgeable. But the ideals of nobility would be what guided those decisions. So he started the Noble Valley Herd.
Plots: Riidkii is always looking to help those around him. He works side by side with those in his herd, trying to guide them, not rule them. He is looking to expand his herd, to help those in need, and to help his herd thrive and flourish. He knows he needs a helpmeet to stand beside him in this task. But he isn't actively looking. He knows the right one for him will be the one who is there and helping without being asked. And he believes that when such a one arrives, his heart will know its home. Mostly he needs herd and herd RP as well as anything where he can be of help or healing to others. |

Presently: Miela loves her home, her land, her people. She is a proud Hippogryph and could think of no better life than among her people and family. When her sister and her sister's mate went missing during a pilgrimage to the ancient nesting grounds, Miela was saddened by their loss. Seeking comfort, she was healed by a kind, golden Uni who eased her heart. The care he gave her was unexpected, but not as unexpected as the daughter who arrived not long after his visit. She's not seen that stallion again, but cares for her daughter as if she were a pure Hippogryph. Of course, her daughter, Ĉiela, has ideas for her life outside what Miela thinks is best for her. Miela is still seeking some sign of what happened to her sister and her sister's family. And she's learning to deal with a daughter who has decided to be part of a distant herd without regard to what her mother wants.
Plots: Miela needs to meet her nephew, Akos. Otherwise, I would love for her to have Hippogryph RP, it would be nice to find a Hippogryph herd for her. And while she had a fling with a Uni, she would not likely have another relationship with someone who wasn't at least partially Hippogryph. It isn't that she thinks Hippogryphs are particularly superior as much as she believes in tradition and blood-lines. Miela doesn't look down on cross-breeds, but thinks it makes it harder for those of mixed blood to find their place in the world. It would be nice if she met someone who could change her mind on that. Otherwise she's pretty open, I love to RP and if your plots call for someone like Miela, I'm happy to have her lend a helping claw. |
