Personality
Within her flock, Acantha held one of the 3 available titles of War Chief, not greatly due to her strength in battle per se, but due to aggression that shone through thanks to her cunning, cruelty, determination, destructive nature nature and insatiable love for the art of war/battle.
To her it was very much like a game or a dance. It is easy for someone to just throw their weight around, but it takes a carefully sculpted warrior to know HOW to throw that weight, whether it be mental or physical. That and war is also a game of patience, which the gryph has much of.
Whomever the leaders labeled as a foe of the community, the young Acantha was more than happy to bring down without so much as a question of why leaving her beak, because in her mind it is never the claw’s duty to question the act of the owner. And a claw she was, freely killing all those marked for death, whether truly innocent or guilty. And if someone happened to get in the way of her quest, or she found herself in need of someone to blame for a mistake, they would go down too.
Time has a way of slowly opening one’s eyes, and at the moment Acantha is living through this transitioning period. Having found herself to be nothing more than a tool or a stepping stone for her brothers, sisters and leaders, the gryph slowly started to pull at the strings that tie her to her flock, and is now seeing that they are nothing more than barbarians looking to destroy anything in their way like a fire through a forest.
So now the mare wanders the lands holding the title of heretic by her flockmates. One who no longer wishes to bow towards the leaders or oracles. A War Chief who no longer wishes to kill without reason, whatever that reason may be. So she wanders, hoping to repent for her deeds and lead a life in place of those that she has taken.

Personality
Raising herself, due to her parents vanishing when she was in her basket, Marika has always found peace and comfort from the ocean. This is mainly due to the fact that when she escaped the confines of her basket she found herself staring out at the glittering waters, and found comfort from the sereneness of it all as she curled up alone, hoping for some sign of her parents, whom would never arrive for her.
Having no parents to speak up, she began to call the ocean her "mother" and studied "her" ways. She learned to appreciate the beauty, pin point the warning signs of coming storms, learn of high tides, low tides, the creatures that called the ocean their home, when her "mother" was at peace, and when she was beginning to rage, ect ect.
Like her "mother", Marika also holds two distinct sides of her self. The side that usually shows, her true self, is peaceful, and loving, a creature that would never harm anyone unless necessary. She is joyous, empathetic, and playful, always wanting to help and bring comfort to those around her. At times, she can be a bit childish and stubborn in her ways, but she always means best.
Her other side, however, is like the raging ocean. She may seem calm at first, maybe a tad sarcastic, or a bit of a seductress, but one wrong move and she will become violent, loud, and harsh. Her actions are always lashed, and with the intent of greatest harm. She is, of course, not completely evil, but she isn't exactly the nicest Soq out there either.
