Hideaki is a bit of mystery. He is lazy and would rather spend his time laying around the bank of a river than socializing with other soquili (his brother being the exception to this rule). And when he isn't lazing about and he comes across another strange horse, he would much rather play a trick on them, such as showering a picnic with water or smearing honey across an unsuspecting horses tail and sending angry bees their way, then to have a conversation with them. That's just the type of stallion he is. However, catching him on one of his lazy days will raise more frustrating questions than his nasty little pranks. He doesn't speak in riddles, per say, but gathering a straight answer from him is almost nearly impossible.
When Hideaki and Isoba were very young, they wandered off into the woods to play. However, it began to get dark and they lost their way. They traveled deeper and deeper into the woods, into a tangled brush. There they found a small stream that sustained their lives for a greater portion of it. The brothers never found their way home again. Oddly enough, their bond together was stronger even than their bond to their own parents, and while it had left them unsettled at first, neither of the brothers regretted the incident. Neither regret it to this day. |
