The Mad Gods


The Spirit World is in turmoil. With the death of so many powerful shinobi, the spirits have begun to fight on their side of the divide. In their foolishness, many of the spirits ventured to far and too deep, awakening a deep and ancient evil. Locked away by Xhu himself before his demise, the Mad Gods have been unleashed once more upon the realm of the living and the dead. Enraged by eons of imprisonment, they wish nothing more then to once more bring all the realms of power under their control. Their leader, the God of Madness, seems an unkillable force, but has yet to even raise a finger. His subordinates are surely enough to cover all the lands in darkness and bind them to his will. However, the awakening has had an odd effect on the divide between the realms. Those who are struck down by a killing blow do not seem to die. Instead they linger, in a state between living and death.

Missions
- Tears in the barrier between the Spirit World and the Living World have begun to appear, allowing the recently deceased to come back to life and attack villages. Investigate these tears as a group.
- The recently deceased are coming back to life, terrorizing the country side. The Shoguns have mobilized their armies to fight the undead, but each time they are struck down, they come back. Aid the armies by burning, crushing, pulverizing. and obliterating the bodies.
