Google just released their new logo look ((Google gets a makeover: Firm unveils new animated logo with child-like simplicity)) today. The color scheme is the same, just using a different font style - apparently to reflect the logo font of Alphabet, the umbrella company that owns Google now (which is headed by Google co-founders, Larry Page and Sergey Brin).
It's interesting to see the appearance of the Google logo over the years though (provided below). Certainly has improved from it's original starting one, that's for sure.
