tab As you turn your head you are buffeted by a gust of wind and the sound of wings beating rapidly. There before you is a figure that stands the size of an average adult, hovering in the air from a pair of blue feathered wings beating in a rhythm to steady itself. A strange amalgamation of animal and humanoid forms, with a torso closer to that of a human woman and the head of a rat with the hair placements of a masculine lion, the creature resembles the Harpy of legend except for the head. The face twists as it stares at you with yellow eyes far too human for comfort before with a final beat of the wings it lands, knees bending from the impact but still supporting itself on the three toes on each foot. The wings fold down across its chest, hiding the bared breasts and forming a cloak where the five fingers at the wing tips clasp together. Other than the fingers clasping their wings closed you see no other limbs for movement. tab It raises itself up further, the wing-cloak giving it a more puffed up appearance than would normally be doable. With a sharp inhale it breathes in your scent only to follow it up a moment later with a growl and a click, almost as one would expect from a bird being threatened by a big cat. It grunts and looks around you, almost dismissing you as a danger, even going so far as to lean down and loom over you to get a better look at you. In something that looks likely incredibly uncomfortable, it cocks its head sideways and stares, its expression, alien, completely unreadable. tab Then it shakes its shoulder where, as the bag falls to the ground, you see it had been carrying a satchel. As it lands it spills some of its contents onto the ground, revealing some sort of apple-shaped fruit with purple spots and green skin. In fact, it looks like what was known as a Granny Smith apple, back in your days.

Tatsumaki
The flapping of wings caught the young inventor's attention. Her head moved around to try and find the culprit behind who had managed to obscure himself from her view. It totally wasn't because she couldn't see higher than she was supposed to. Stupid kid body. The creature that presented itself before her certainly was something that she didn't remember at all. It could have been a flying lion, but the assortment of parts that were spread across the beast's body would render that category incorrect. Just what was this thing? Tatsu couldn't help herself. She just had to get closer. She moved up towards the creature and froze as it grunted at her, leaning its massive head down to get a better look at her. She grit her teeth, hoping that this thing was friendly enough to not try and eat her. That expression it gave her seemed to match her own confusion for the beast. At least the feeling's mutual. She thought to herself.
A bag soon fell from its shoulders, some fruit rolling out that it had supposedly been carrying. Except that the fruit certainly didn't look like any fruit that she had seen before. It looked like an apple but it was green and had purple marking across its skin. Tatsumaki hesitated, but gently stepped near the bag, ready to back away at any given moment. "Easy...I just want to see." The female would gently kneel and pick up the fruit with her sleeves hand, adjusting her glasses to observe it closely.
tab The strange coloring aside you would swear the fruit within your hand was some sort of apple. It wasn't beyond the realm of reason to even imagine this on similar apple trees you'd seen in the past, though why it bears those strange colorings was currently beyond you. Of note, besides the aforementioned, was the texture of the apple was somewhat harder than what you'd expect. It felt almost like a nut, with the smoothness refusing to give under your grip. tab As you manhandle the fruit the creature over you turns, continuing to watch you with that same unreadable expression. Stepping back to give you room it continues to monitor, and in fact, as you look at it, it cocks its head to the other side with an even more curious expression. Staring, it finally opened its great jaws and made the same noise it had before, with a different pattern to the noises. This close you could see the tongue clicking against the fangs in its mouth as it spoke, and you could almost swear there was something stiff at the end of the appendage that made the clacking sound. It was followed by grunts and growls intermixed, its lips moving in a very human-like manner as it made the noise, but this time slower, with eyes slightly widened as if to give emphasis to its words. tab On it head, the feline ears rotated, angling backwards, though it gave no other movement as it awaited your response.
Well this was a fine mess Ika had found himself in. From pouring rain to almost clear skys. Well they would be clear if he could actually see the freaking sky. While during the course of his wandering he had managed to see the giant freaking tree and thought,"Hey climb the tree and get a good view!" Little did he know just how freaking huge it was. Now that he was firmly under it, it was starting to sink in just how hard it was going to be to make it up to the top of that thing.
Though as he jumped from solid land mass to land mass his mindset quickly shifted. From "hey lets go climbing" to "dear gods what is that." The creature in his sight looked like a mutant chimera of sorts. With the head of a rat, cat ears, human body, bird like wings, and weird claw legs. As he scanned the creature he saw something else which made his morale soar. Another human being. While he had not been looking for one exactly, he would never say no to another human. After all, this small girl could know where other people were, what country they were in, what the hell was happening.
Though as he crouched and hid behind a tree he returned his attention to the creature. It looked as if it was studying the girl, like the hawks he had growing up would look at him. Taking a deep breath he shrugged off his pack and set it down gently. Pulling off his shield and sliding it onto his arm he kept his attention on the animal. Drawing his spear he focused, worst case if it turned hostile he could use "it" to hopefully scare it away. Though he wondered, just what it wanted with the young girl. Act or be passive? Act or be passive. Taking a deep breath he decided to go for it. Jumping from his position to the next landmass he made sure to land a bit harder to cause the scales on his armor to jingle. He would not move from that position and instead would opt to see how things shook out from there..
Rubbing her covered thumbs across the surface of the apple, Tatsumaki would frown. So much for having a light snack on one of these things. If the exterior was this hard, who knew what would be inside of of these things. That was even if they would be safe to eat. The apples back home weren't exactly as tough as wood to bite into. "I don't suppose you have anything to open this with, huh?" The small girl asked the creature before her as if she were to expect an answer. Much to her surprise, it did seem to still be curious in her. It must have not known about humans for whatever reason. The beast seemed as if it were trying to communicate with her, or at least based on how active that tongue was moving. She leaned a little closer, curious as to what it was trying to get across before a peculiar thing happened.
Hearing the jingling of some equipment, Tatsu would jump in surprise as relief washed over her. It had feel like ages since she had seen another human being. "Hey! Are you real?" She asked. "You certainly don't look like some sort of near death hallucination." Unfortunately, he didn't seem to share her problem of being a decade or two younger than when she remembered. Puffing her cheeks out in annoyance, she would look back at the chimera beside her before her eyes caught wind of that spear of his in his hands. "Do you know where we are? I woke up on this hill and got found out by this creature. He doesn't look like he's hostile yet, but with all of this strange stuff happening, who knows?" Her mind raced with questions, wondering just what exactly was going on. Of course, there was a chance this this man would be just as clueless as she was, but it wouldn't hurt to try and hope he knew! With the not apple still in her hands, the child would look back up at beast beside her and feel a bit more on edge. The presence of another human was always welcome, but it could be enough to spook the poor thing. "It's okay. He won't hurt you." She raised the nut apple to the best in hopes that he might know what to do with it.
tab At the presentation of the "apple" the creature looked at her with incredulity before miming with one hand raising it to its mouth and biting. It looked bemused as it finished, except that slid from its face as the gleam of light flashed off of the spear that was even now being levied at its approach. Immediately the creature's wings erupted out, revealing the dangling breasts and the muscular torso the wings hid. Spreading them wide it stepped forward and placed itself between Tatsumaki and the newest intruder to the mix. Baring its teeth, eyes becoming more feral and hostile than before it opened its jaws and issued forth something between the hiss of a rat and the roar of a great cat of the planes that it so resembled. tab It eyed Ikazuchi with a menacing and threatening stare, intent on shredding him if he came at the girl with any sort of force or threat. As it did so the hands that tipped its wings flexed in odd ways, almost like it was forming some sort of symbols with its hands. Strange indeed, given how far apart they were. tab tab
Now that was unexpected. Why was the creature defending the girl. Giving the girl a light smile he dropped into his defensive posture, shield raised and spear leveled. When the girl asked him if he knew what was going on he sighed. That means she didn't know either which was definitely a pain in the a** at this point. Lowering his weapon and shield he took a relaxed posture and kept his eyes on the creature while he answered the girl,"Yea I am definitly real. Though I have no bloody clue whats going on either. I woke up in some kind of facility. Any idea what this big bird thing wants? Cause from the looks of it, I would rather not fight it if I dont have to.."
It was true, he wanted no part of fighting that thing. He had no idea what it was capable of, or even if it could be killed conventionally. All he had to rely upon was his training and even that would be questionable if it could help him. Sure he could use IT to try and scare it away, but what if it failed? All it would do would piss it off and absolutely lead to a fight.

Tatsumaki
The creature would place itself between her and the black haired man who had appeared before the beast. Confused at this decision, she concluded it must have been trying to protect her! Its movements were a welcome sign. A friend in these parts would be hard to come by for all they knew. Tatsumaki would come away from behind the creature, keeping her sleeved hands up as she smiled at the creature. "It's okay! He's a friend! He won't hurt me!" She looked over at the male with a friendly nod. "Good. I'm Tatsumaki, Tatsu for short." She readjusted the glasses on her face enough to look back at the bird creature before them as it would gazed upon the armed person with protective intent. "Not a clue. It seems friendly enough. Just try not to anger it."
Tatsu noticed the beast's "hands", in the loosest sense of the term, would begin to attempt to form some sort of symbols. The child would look at them before slowly mimicking them as the creature made them. Her hands were pulled out of their sleeves enough to practice them in full.
tab The creature's hands stilled at Tatsumaki's approach, and more, it pulled back as she began mimicing the gestures it made. Lowering its hands carefully, eyeing Ikazuchi the entire time, the creature stepped back and lowered its arms to its chest, once again swathing itself among its arms and wings until it resembled a cloak. The danger past it moved towards the fruit at its feet and picked up one of the things before turning to Tatsumi and holding it out to her. Curious, it cocked its head, the pupils dilating until they were nearly glass orbs while waiting for her to reach for it. On the right it pressed its claw into the fruit, but only barely, enough to rumple the skin, and lowering its arm enough to expose a breast in the meanwhile. tab Ikazuchi it ignored for the moment, clearly dismissing the earlier threat in favor of completing whatever it had been doing previously. tab
With the situation calming down, Ika would embed the end of his spear into the ground as he looked over the creature once more. Its body was truly an amalgamation of creatures. The end result of which was something that creeped him out pretty badly. But, the fact that it seemed relatively intelligent intrigued him.
The exchange between the creature and Tatsu was an interesting one though he had an idea and wanted to examine it. It was almost as if the creature was trying to feed her the fruit thing. If that was the case, then he would reciprocate the favor with the creature. Moving back to his packpack he rummaged through it until he found the smaller pack inside of it. From that pack, he would pull a single chunk of meat weighing three pounds. Making his way towards the creature he held the chunk of meat loosely in his right hand swinging it too and fro to see if the creature would notice it. Once he was almost within arms reach he would extend his arm and the slab of meat. Though his behavior was similar to before, confident but not threatening.
Gently taking the strange fruit from the beast, Tatsumaki would observe the fresh gash in it that the creature had made in it, most likely for her to have a way of biting into it. The two would gaze up at one another curiously before the young female's sight became set on the fruit in her hands. Her fingers dug into the fruit a little before she took a big bite out of whatever kind of fruit she was given. The fruit pulp felt good as it fell into her empty stomach, watching as the boy dug into his own bags and take out a slab of meat before offering it to the creature as a sort of token of gratitude. "That should help things get calm quick. Good thinking."
tab The creature watches Tatsumaki eat the fruit with a strange level of concern and curiosity, going so far as to even c**k its head to the side before nodding slowly and releasing a small, non-committal whine. It is clear the creature is still intrigued, and when Ikazuchi approaches with a haunch of meat it turns its eyes to him with a touch of curiosity, and anxiousness. Just a moment ago he had offered a spear in greeting, and the creature did not forget such greetings easily. Instead of taking it readily it instead lowered one wing arm and held it beneath the haunch, allowing for Ika to make the decision if he would drop it down or not. tab As it did this, however, there came a noise from above as the beating of wings became not just one, but many. Above the gray sky was racked with yet more of these same creatures, some breasted, and some not. Each carried with it a satchel that looked filled with some round objects bulging against the fabric: perhaps more fruits? Either way they kept their distance, though their faces were turned to the pair below. tab Just how will the two heroes react?
Observing the creature as he had been, would reveal one critical thing to him. This creature was clearly intelligent. It was capable of thought, judgment, and what looked like reason. Keeping his face on the creature, his eyes would shift for just a moment to the others up above it. Add civilization to that list. This creature was easily as smart as them though he wondered if it could speak. Letting his gaze meet that of the bird before him, he would lower his hand slowly depositing the haunch into the birds wing arm thingy.
Keeping his voice low and his tone soft he spoke,"Tatsumaki, be careful. These things are without doubt just as smart as we are... and there are a fair few more of them then us.." Though whether he was saying that for her benefit or to calm and steel his own nerves was a matter of debate.

tab From above came the fluttering of wings, followed by a mix of growl and clicks and whistles moments before one of the creatures above plummeted straight down. It rotated as it fell with its arms brought close to its side, only to flash them out just before it collided with the earth and ceasing its momentum almost instantly. Its arms spread, the pecks and muscles of a masculine frame were clear, though its extremities were covered by loin cloth too thick to identify much beyond that. It came to a rest upon the bird talons almost silently, and at its full height was somehow a little over six feet. Perhaps this was due to the tripod-like structures of its feet. tab The creature, whose eyes red orange and whose main was blue with green leather strips glued in place, eyes Ikazuchi up and down before its lip raised in a sneer and it spoke again in that strange noise structure of a language. tab From the way the one near his companion was reacting, whatever had been said wasn't pleasant. Its face was pulled up in a disgusted snarl, though its eyes were still upon Tatsumaki. tab Keeping its expression still for the most part, the creature knelt down to get to eye level with the girl before gesturing down to the ground with one hand. Unfurling its arm wings, it lowered one finger into the loamy earth and began to draw, its hands clumsily carving through the mud with little resistance. It drew circles, lines, and its fingers left the earth to dip down again with precision and care. The art wasn't altogether good, and several parts were clearly exaggerated, but in the end the image left showed something with wings picking up a little person, and a large line sectioning it off from the next image, where the little figure was carried through the air. The last image showed them going towards some small tree in the distance, and the last? The last image showed the small figure being brought to a table with piles of circles and squares, possibly food. IT looked up, then, and pointed with one finger at Tatsumaki and then towards the images.
tab The two creatures who stood before the pair turned to eye one another in silence, clearly considering something silently. At last the one before Tatsumaki turned and knelt before leaping into the air and beating its wings powerfully to gain altitude. As soon as its legs cleared, the pair came down on the little girl's shoulders, and a moment later they were airborne, the sky dipping down beneath the former tinkerer as they flew through the air. Beneath them the world flew by as they spiraled higher and higher, each beating of the wings causing a heaving sensation against her skin. Yet as they reached a height that seemed appropriate to the creature and evened out, only then could she see the world. tab Or what was left of it. tab The world had changed, that much was clear. IN the distance clouds flew by, but it did little to obscure the enormous amount of trees and water that extended far beyond the horizon. Titanic trees, strange plant growths, and the screams from below of unknown creatures painted the landscape an alien place. A moment later this would rapidly approach as the bird dipped and dove, beating wings for speed as it propelled itself towards the largest sets of trees nearby, it's expression fixed somewhere in the distance. tab [Exit]
