                                      ❤︎ ; As Jenna continued rushing forward in search of this voice, and to get some answers, that nasty wet smell felt like it was following. To her, it smelled as awful as old dried out armpits. She'd scrunched her nose together, though she stopped once the reached the center of the room, feeling the light breeze from most likely outside. She seemed to stare at an aquarium tank, sitting dead center in front of her gaze. Turning right, she noticed the looks of what appeared to be a old run down cafe. There wasn't much of it left to the looks of it, chairs and tables toppled everywhere. This was starting to get freaky..until she got some clear answers, Jenna would continue to be unaware of what took place her. Either it shut down due to bad business or health issues, or something terrible happened. Gazing the farthest right was some stairs, but considering this place, who knows where that could even lead too. Was it worth a try? Jenna couldn't even think of what could be upstairs, maybe something cool...or creepy. There was a door close by, might as well try to peek into that first, before moving on to all else unexplored areas. Opening the door, she decided to take a peek rather slowly, wondering what was inside the strange door, prepared for anyone.

This door like the other was stiff from rust but like last time also Jenna's small but strong frame opened it with ease. The room was dark almost pitch black, the only light available was light filling in from the room Jenna had just come from illuminating what looked to be the back of a long row of seats. At the far end and seemingly down was a red emergency light highlighting a door, Jenna could see more rows of seats silhouetted against the red light and the edge of a raised platform. The smell of damp returned stronger than the gift shop.

As Jenna took stock of the room the voice returned causing her pain again, "...Wisdom of the deep shared... From old to young... Long ago..."

_______________The Narrator Whispers... ||
For what seemed like eternity, but at the same time no time at all, you floated in darkness. You can vaguely recall yourself, who you were, and what you were, as if a voice had guided you along that path to remembrance, but the voice itself faded away like it had never existed to begin with. All is at peace, at rest in the comforting embrace of the abyss, until a crack splits the air, resounding in the nothingness. With it came light and humidity as it slowly spider-webbed outward. Then it shattered altogether and you were released from your prison, where you fell to the damp earth, strength not immediately returning to your limbs. This weakness would only last a brief moment before you were filled with energy that could have kept you going for what felt like days, fulling rested and at your prime.

You are in a building of some sort, an inch or two of water covering the moss- and mud-covered tile. Doors leading to what looks like the outside world rest to your back, long broken from their hinges, leaving them to lean cockeyed against their frames. From it, you can hear rain falling, and the occasional boom of thunder rattles the dome-like ceiling. What looks like it may have been displays of some sort lay scattered around the large room, ransacked or decayed with age, and three hallways lead in each of the remaining cardinal directions. From where you stand, it looks that all three dip down sharply, likely filled with significantly more water than the lobby-like area holds.

Laying there for a short while, breathing slowly with an occasional rasp - he'd cherish the notion of fresh, yet damp air. This place was damp... Wet and mouldy. Something was really not right about it. The last thing he remembered from the village were toxic fumes, dry air and overall hopelessness. Raindrops... Now that was a sound he would not hear so often. Then, a shining lightning, followed by a roaring, yet distant thunder. The place was dark, felt somehow familliar... Just like the olden days in mines.Coughing up twice, he brought himself up, standing tall and assuring that he wouldn't just trip over. Taking a deeper breath of fresh, damp air - he felt lightheaded. Was this the first taste of freedom? For such long period of time, muscles didn't seem to vanish, neither did they felt cramped or overly tender. Doing a couple sit ups and arm stretches, he'd find that everything was positively allright with his physical attributes.

As rain and wind would peer through the broken and torn doors, he'd slowly adjust his clothes and checked up all of his gear. Surprisingly, everything was still in check. How long was he even crystallised? What... Happened to the world? These questions were flooding his mind, as venturing through this peculiar staging area. He wasn't going to leave just now... Since there was no one here, and the place looked ransacked from the start, he'd first check if everything of value was stolen. His scrounginess and inborn pragmatism would dictate that even among place so combed through, there might've been something valuable he could pick up and use to his own advantage. Or maybe something that a potential scavenger would lose during his own operation. In case of danger, he always had his weapon ready and able to use.

Look and look as he may. Only damp moss and mold will be found in this particular room. Broken tile pieces and chip paint, but a dark blue orb lit up from the corner of his eye before vanishing. Then reappearing, before vanishing again before your eyes. For a short quiet moment, the room was still, till the orb appear brighter than before and it carried a whimper, it was almost child-like. Three more orbs made a path to the middle hallway. One after another as if leading him to a location.

He stood there, as if trying to witness the orbs and decide if this was real. Maybe it was merely a hallucination, a fickle trick of light... But no. It was real and as if leading him somewhere. His eyes, as usual - adjusted to the dim light, seen the bluish orbs as if a sign, similar to glowing fungus he learned to track in the mines. Something was... Missing here. Before he'd pursue the glowing light, he turned around and narrowed his eyes. Fingers fluttering, as if lacking a very important piece of equipment. His halberd was missing. Beginning to wonder if the weapon was crystallised with him, or rather withered away with the time... He felt a little bit on edge. No weapon meant he'd be out in the open for a possible attack. Looking around, he basically picked up the nearest piece of trash, a long and rusted pipe. It wasn't a polearm of choice... But it was heavy and had some reach. Judging by the gnawing of time, it'd be destroyed by the first harder hit. On the other hand... The rusty pipe gave him more reassurance, than having absolutely nothing to even deflect a potential attack. Now... Barely armed, he leaned the pipe against his arm and began to follow the glowing lights, be it a trap or a path to salvation...

Taking the path, walking past the threshold was like walking through a curtain of water. The sensation of ice cold water falling down from head to toe. Soaking through clothes and freezing to core and bones. Yet touching your clothes and skin you find that you’re still dry, but the sensation of heavy soak clothes and wet hair was clearly felt. Each step you take you to hear water sloshing in your shoes. The taste of ocean water is almost on your lips.

The further down the hallway, a heavy sensation sit on your shoulder. You can no longer hear the rain hitting the roof or the dripping dew drops on the mold. Further and further into the hallway the air was thick and each breath had the sensation of water. The orb of light continues to beckon you to a room with shallow water.

The room was open and paint has faded and peeled in several places. Bioluminescent algae gave the water an unearthly glow. The orb stop at the water edge and they change to a bright indigo color. A dark color before a translucent clawed hand reached from the water and grip the orb of light tightly in it hands. Making a high pitch shrill that bounce off the wall. Breaking the surface was a ghostly skeletal mermaid breached the surface of the water. Half it body flesh rotted off her bare upper torso revealing the bone white skeletal form. The water hid her bottom half but the tentacle hitting the surface water gave hint that she was not human. Fanged teeth and long drench black hair with glowing hollow sockets didn't dampen her once beauty. She chirps as she squeezes the orb in her clutches.
