Muggle Colleges and Universities
For a Hogwarts student to attend a university, they must actively seek and take the Access to Higher Education Diploma, which is basically the equivalency of a GED. Otherwise, the college or university would require GCSE's and A-Level's which can only be obtained through proper muggle schooling. Both muggles and squibs, in guild, should attend schooling whether private or public in order to obtain their GCSE's. An academically-minded child destined for university might be wise to look at doing at least nine, possibly 10 GCSEs. A few will plump for as many as 12, but bear in mind this will result in a hefty workload, which in turn might lead to lower grades for all but the very brightest and motivated. Many children in England go to the same "high school" from ages 11-16 to prepare for their GCSE's. Some schools have what is known as "Sixth Form" or College, for students ages 17-18, who then begin preparation for their A-Level exams which are necessary for those seeking higher education through a university. (In 2015, the dropout age for muggleborn students was changed to eighteen.)

xxxxxxMuggle Exams xxx GCSE's, or the General Certificate of Secondary Education, is an internationally recognized qualification awarded in a specified subject, generally taken in a number of subjects by pupils in secondary education in England, Wales and Northern Ireland over two years (three years in certain schools). Typically, study of chosen subjects begins at the start of Year 10 (ages 14–15). Some subjects start earlier, for example Maths, English and Science, because these courses are too long to be taught within 2 years. Final examinations are taken at the end of Year 11 (ages 15–16). virtually all pupils take GCSEs in English, mathematics and science. In addition, many schools also require that pupils take English literature, at least one modern foreign language, at least one design and technology subject, religious education (often a short, or 'half', course), and ICT (information and communications technology). Pupils can then fill the remainder of their timetable (normally totalling ten different subjects) with their own choice of subjects (see list below).
The GCE Adavanced Levels, or more commonly referred to as A-Levels are the General Certificate of Education Advanced Level examinations which are school-leaving qualification for students completing secondary or pre-university education. Obtaining A-Level or equivalent qualifications is generally required for university entrance. A-Levels are generally worked towards over two years and split into two parts, with one part studied in each year. The first part is known as the Advanced Subsidiary Level, "A1 Level" or "AS Level" (the AS Level acronym was previously used for the separate Advanced Supplementary Level qualification). The second part is known as the "A2 Level" and is more in depth and academically rigorous than the A1 Level. The AS Level is a qualification in its own right, and the AS Level combined with the A2 Level forms the complete A Level qualification.

Beauxbatons Academy of Magic
Beauxbatons caters to a wide diversity of witches and wizards from France, Spain, Portugal, Luxembourg, Belgium and the Netherlands. For seven centuries the academy has existed and throughout that time many changes have been implemented, including the elimination of school houses during the French Revolution which had only served to define and separate student's according to social class and status. Now students are separated according to gender, girls' join Aphrodite and the boys' join Angelus. Unlike many other wizarding schools, students only have one examination to complete which is taken after six years of study instead of five.
Beauxbatons Palace is a magnificent château, often described as glittering and surrounded by a wondrous gardens and enchanted waterfalls spewing down from the mountainside of the Pyranesse in Southern France. A fountain believed to hold healing and beautifying powers was constructed in the academy's park in honor of Nicholas and Perenelle Flamel, who part-funded the castle and grounds. Rather than broomsticks, the academy seems to prefer their trained winged-horses as a means of personal transportation.

Durmstrang Institute
Durmstrang Institute serves students from Norway, Sweden, Finland, Russia, Germany, as well as Bulgaria. Muggleborn students are not allowed admittance to the institute but it should be noted that not all of the staff and students share this ideology. Durmstrang's curriculum specializes in the Dark Arts and Martial Magic, as well as Advanced Flying, which unlike other schools, is considered a full elective with O.D.I.N. exams for seventh years. All students are required to wear the standard uniform of blood red robes, fur cloaks, and fur hats when in classes or during ceremony's. Insignia's, or badges, are used to differentiate houses by displaying the team's color and mascot which are to be pinned above the left breast. Insignia's must be worn at all times by students and is strictly enforced by staff and team leaders.
Located in Northern Scandinavia, the castle is relatively smaller than other wizarding schools but its extensive grounds more than make up for it. Surrounded by two different lakes and set in the middle of a fjord on a mountain range, the school makes great use of its ship for transportation. In the summer months, students are often outside skiing or enjoying the hot springs, but during the winter months where there is very little sunlight, students stay within the castle which is kept warm by the underground springs, enchanted lanterns, and layers of thick tapestries. Each year a school-wide competition is held in the Combat Arena for students to participate in with events include dueling, flying, and potioneering.

Salem Witches Institute
In the United States, if children show magical ability by the age of seven they will receive a letter of admittance to the nearest PreWiz school. Thirteen different PreWiz schools are scattered throughout the country to accommodate all of the American wizarding children and prepare them for admittance into either Salem Witches Institute or DarkMark Academy by the age of thirteen. At the moment, only Salem is being ran by the guild, thus, DarkMark will not be included in this thread. However, all classes and exam's offered by Salem will also be offered at DarkMark.
For over a hundred years, Salem was an all girls boarding school while DarkMark had admitted only boys. Recently, Salem has reformed to admit both boys and girls. DarkMark's negative reputation for teaching the dark arts had led to an influx of student enrollment to Salem Witches Institute. The boarding school is surrounded by a dense enchanted woodland, named Dark Witches Forest, just outside of Salem, Massachusetts. Once American students have graduated from either Salem or DarkMark they are given an identification card by the American Administration of Magic (AAM.) This card is essential in the United States due to the numerous wizarding establishments hidden inside of muggle communities. The ID pictures change and age with time to match the witch/wizard to avoid theft or copies.

C.A.T's, or Cumulative Assessment Tests, are taken by First Form students. This exam is a standardized aptitude test to gauge the strength and weaknesses of incoming students which allows staff members the advantage to tailor their curriculum to best suit the needs of their students.
The W.I.T.S, or, Wickedly Insidious Test of Skills, is the equivalent to the United Kingdom's N.E.W.T level final exams and is taken by Fourth Formers'.

Mahōtokoro School of Magic
Mahoutokoro (Japanese: 魔法所, Mahōtokoro) is the Japanese wizarding school, located on the topmost point of the Volcanic island of Minami Iwo Jima. It has the smallest student body of the wizarding schools. Described as an ornate and exquisite palace, it resembles a pagoda or a shiro made of Nephrite, or "mutton-fat jade", a translucent white stone. Both island and palace are thought to be uninhabited by Muggles. Mahoutokoro is possibly one of the oldest wizarding schools, as it is described as "ancient".
Quidditch was introduced to Japan and to Mahoutokoro centuries ago by a band of foolhardy Hogwarts students who were blown off course during an attempt to circumnavigate the globe on wholly inadequate broomsticks. Rescued by a party of wizarding staff from Mahoutokoro, who had been observing the movements of the planets, they remained as guests long enough to teach their Japanese counterparts the rudiments of the game, a move they lived to regret. Every member of the Japanese Quidditch team and the current Champion's League winners (the Toyohashi Tengu) attributes their prowess to the gruelling training they were given at Mahoutokoro, where they practise over a sometimes turbulent sea in stormy conditions, forced to keep an eye out not only for the Bludgers but also for planes from the Muggle airbase on a neighbouring island.
The school took students from the age of seven, although they did not board until they were eleven. While day students, wizarding children were flown back and forth to their homes every day on the backs of a flock of giant storm petrels. When students start off at the school they are given robes that grow as they grow and change colour as the wearer gains experience, with pink as the begining color. If the wearer receives top grades all the school subjects, their robes will turn gold. Any student who betrays the Japanese wizard's code or practice Dark Arts would result in their uniform turning white, which is a huge disgrace and the student in question will be immediately expelled. Mahoutokoro has the reputation to have an impressive academic prowess. Students of this school prized wands made out of cherry wood, and those who owned them were held in a place of high honour.

xx▇▇▇ Genbu: x Represents winter and water, this being represents the wisdom and caution of the house it inhabits. Students in this house happen to have foresight and intellect, and tend to look at the whole picture as opposed to only parts. They also happen to be slow to anger, and are more interested in protection of a sort as opposed to the others. House Color: Black House Mascot: Black Tortoise
xx▇▇▇ Byakko: x Represents Fall and Metal. The being in charge of this house represents plenty and hard work. Thouse in this house happen to have a bit of a temper rivalled only by those in Seiryu, but also have a compassionate nature. They are unafraid of pursuing a goal until it is completed, and also the most virtuous, as only the white tiger appears when a ruler is virtuous or there is peace in the world. House Color: White House Mascot: White Tiger
xx▇▇▇ Suzaku: x Represents Summer and Fire, this being is probably representative of nobility and elegance. Students in this house have a fiery passion rivalled only by the being that resides in the house. They however can be a bit unruly as they tend to be ruled by these passions. As such, they may be more adventurous than most other students in Mahoutokoro. House Color: Vermillion House Mascot: Vermillion Bird
xx▇▇▇ Seiryu: x Represents Spring and Wood, this noble being happens to have probably the bravest and unafraid to stand their ground. The students in this house tend to follow this example, and would probably be the most loyal of any other. They also have tempers to match, as their founder does have a dragon's temper. To borrow a phrase from Hogwarts, "Never tickle a sleeping Dragon." House Color: Azure House Mascot: Azure Dragon
