First Wave - The Ties That Bind

All stories start somewhere, just like this one. Allow me to take you back in time twenty years before the introduction of Air Treks to America. This story takes us across the big sea into Japan, where a groups of teenagers battled for their very survival on these treks. A team known as Requiem, lead by Billos Hunter, had risen to peak of the competition, only to be brought low by the underhanded antics of another team known as SIN. This devastating defeat left the team in shambles, barely able to pick up the pieces that were left. The name Requiem had lost all respect for losing to such a weak team, leaving nothing left for them in Tokyo. The riders; Billos Hunter, Zane Daisetsu, and Daisuke Valentine, made a decision to leave Tokyo behind in hopes of a new start in another country. After some time, they settled on trying their luck in New York City, New York, United States. A small group of followers who still believed in Requiem joined them for this migration. Upon arriving, the group expected to be greeted with an American Circuit, but to their surprise very few people even know of the existence of Air Treks. Taking things in stride, the group decided to still settle down in New York City and bring Air Treks to the masses.

Fast forward twenty years, to the present day, and Requiem has become Req. Co. A very successful company that brought in enough revenue to rival the Japanese Air Trek Companies. Billos and Daisuke co-own the company with Zane holding onto a vast majority of the company's stock. Req. Co. had such incredible success and within the first five years of their founding, Air Treks became a professional sport rivaling that of American Football that even doubled the salaries for the professional players compared to football players. Colleges were giving scholarships and even full rides. Needless to say, this did not bode well with Japan. The United State government wanted to gain access to all of Japan's data for air treks, including the data on Gravity Children and Brain Chargers. After several failed attempts at creating this super humans under the strict supervision of the child prodigy Varya Alkaev, the government hit a wall that they could not pass. Japan, at first, refused time after time. However, after twenty years of research and talks with Japan, Japanese officials finally agreed to share the information with the United States on two conditions. First, the United States would instate Air Trek Battles into the Olympics, allowing Japan to battle the United States. If the US beat Japan, they would be one step closer to gaining the information they've been searching for the past twenty years. The second part is something of myth, in the past twenty years the United States has only made it this far once. However, all that participated in the second part ended up severely injured, paralyzed, and severely dramatized not even able to speak of the terror that they faced. It is rumored that the second part is a an all out battle with Japan’s Kings. But this is just rumored. Will you strive to be a king of a road in New York? Will you rise above the opposition to represent your country and bring home the advance technology from Japan? Or will you to rebel against the government in an effort to keep Storm Riding safe and simple?
