This goes out to all my Ring Road Riders out there; good luck!
▬▬▬▬▬▬ ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ▬▬▬▬▬▬ ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

_______ ○ Tuning is the process of refining a pair of Air Treks to better optimize the individual performance of a Rider's road. This can vary in complexity depending on the Tuner themselves. There are three different types of tuning processes; Basic Tuning, Custom Tuning, and Link Tuning. The breakdown of the three tuning types are as follows:

•Tuning READ : For Tuners they have two different Reads. Regular Read and tuning read. Tuning Read is affected only by when a tuner completes a tuning process. With this, they can be a high level tuner but still low level in actual rider giving them the option just be pure tuner or both a tuner and a rider.
• Basic Tuning: simple maintenance on one's Air Treks in order to optimize the performance of otherwise basic parts such as replacing bolts, screws, and batteries.
• Custom Tuning: This is a more advanced form of tuning that allows the Tuner to alter or produce a pair of Air Treks that use more complex parts, replacing the older parts, in order to increase the efficiency of one's Air Treks. This can be anything from removing the Air Treks speed limiter to installing a different type of cushioning system to changes in wheel-type to completely rebuilding them from scratch for unique effects.
• Link Tuning:The most difficult process of tuning reserved only for the wielders of the Regalia, the Kings and Queens of their Road. It involves a high-class (B-Rank) tuner matching the King or Queen's biorhythm to the Regalia in order to unlock its full potential and usage. The degree to which a pair of Air Treks can be altered depends on the rank and talents of a tuner. Tuning can only be done by riders of the Ring Road.

Rules of Tuning
▬▬▬▬▬▬ ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ▬▬▬▬▬▬ ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

_______ ○ Tuners are allowed to tune themselves and other riders. This Tune-Up does not effect how much a tuner may tune. The amount a tuner can tune is derived from their Tuning READ and stats. All Tune Ups affect the Rider's Air Treks and only their Air Treks, not their actual body. If they take off their Air Treks they lose their Tune-Up bonuses. Tuners get sp per TU point as well. All costs must be paid at the time of tuning. .

Basic Tuning
▬▬▬▬▬▬ ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ▬▬▬▬▬▬ ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

_______ ○ The basics of tuning involve replacing the basic frame, aligning wheel bearings, replacing generic brands with better quality, more name brand parts, oiling gear boxes, replacing batteries, etc. Basic Tuning is not to be confused with Custom-Tuning. No additional or custom equipment or parts are added to a pair of Air Treks that have been Basic Tuned, and as such only the current parts have been optimized for better performance. This results in a stat bonus depending on the rank and READ of the Tuner but does not allow for the special effects. Basic Tuned A-Ts do not receive effects and therefore have no corresponding rank at which to be worn, unlike Custom-Tuned A-Ts. A pair of Air Treks cannot exceed +50 stat point Tune Up. Negative tunes (removal of stat points from one area to be placed in another) do subtract from the +50 gain. If you have an Air Trek set that does -50 Strength you can have +100 Stamina, you can have . For every 2 stat points the tuner has in a stat area they can add a single point to a rider's Air Treks (2:1 ratio). This number is always rounded down. Tuners can not tune Air Treks past the amount of stats which they are capable of tuning; in other words you cannot "stack" tuning points. That means a tuner cannot repeatedly enhance one specific area several times to reach the +40 Limit (e.g. being able to tune for +20 strength and doing it twice). Instead it will just override the previous Tune-Up if it is higher than the tune before it. The tuner can, however, give multiple tune-ups in different areas at the same time. Due to the rising cost of Air Trek parts tuners will have to take a minimum of $50 USD per Tune-Up point on a pair of Air Treks.

Tune-Up Chart Example
Tuning READ: 100 [150]
Acceleration: 30
TU: 15
Strength: 20
TU: 10
Stamina: 40
TU: 20
Jump: 10
TU: 5

Basic Tuning Word & Cost

Tuners must spend a specific amount of time (Word Count) tuning a pair of Air Treks. The word count is just a requirement and can still be used in an update. Your writing must be related to tuning. Quoting lyrics, poems, having a full-length flash back is not allowed. Your post doesn't have to be fully devoted to tuning, but a good portion of it must. Due to the rising cost of Air Trek parts tuners will have to take a minimum of 50 USD per TU point on a pair of air treks. The word cost requirement coincides with the tuner's rank:

C Rank: +1 TU per 50 words
B Rank: +1 TU per 40 words
A Rank: +1 TU per 30 words
S Rank: +1 TU per 20 words
Pledge King/Queen: +1 TU per 10 words

Tuner Stat Gain
▬▬▬▬▬▬ ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ▬▬▬▬▬▬ ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

_______ ○ Because Tuners ride on a rather passive road it is rare for them to participate in Parts Wars. They are seen as a more medical force in the Storm Rider world so, aside from Parts Wars, they gain Stat Points through repairing Air Treks and tuning others. this hones their skills and allows them to grow in a different way, making their Tune Ups more powerful and even allow them to create high-class customized gear for Air Treks and other technology. The SP gain goes follows:

C-Class Tuner
Repairs: 1 SP
Basic Tune Up: 5 SP
Custom Tune Up: 10 SP
A-T Tech/Weaponry: 15 SP
Link Tuning: Restricted

B-Class Tuner

▬▬▬▬▬▬ ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ▬▬▬▬▬▬ ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

_______ ○ The creation of custom gear and repairing A-Ts requires a significant amount of knowledge about technology and the inner workings of Air Treks. In order to produce and repair such equipment can become quite costly as it can be difficult to get a hold of the necessary materials. Customized technology are unique parts, pieces, and machinery that Tuners create to completely distinguish one rider from the next. Whether it's a high-class part attached to an Air Trek to optimize its efficiency in a certain area or a fully operable weapon created through Air Trek Technology. Just like with tuning there are three different types of Air Treks:

• Tuned Air Treks: Stock/generic parts that are optimized by a tuner to• provide a stat boost
• Custom Air Treks: Custom parts fitted by a tuner or rider to produce effects without a stat boost.
• Custom-Tuned Air Treks: Custom parts fitted by a tuner and tuned for optimal performance; these receive both stat boosts and effects

Rules Customs & Repairs
▬▬▬▬▬▬ ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ▬▬▬▬▬▬ ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

_______ ○ Tuners may customize their own Air Treks and make Air Trek weaponry, but they must pay the costs (there are no exceptions). Anything crafted by the Pledge Regalia, Axis, is unbreakable. Pledge items will stop working when they reach 100% Wear but they will not be destroyed like regular Air treks. All customs must be approved in the Custom Air Trek Technology Approval thread before they can be created in-character. All costs must be paid at the time of creation. A-Class Custom-Tuned Air Treks can withstand an additional 15% Wear before succumbing to their damages and falling apart. S-Class Custom-Tuned Air Treks can withstand up to an additional 25% Wear before succumbing to their damages and falling apart. While tuners have no limits on what they can create, they still can only use parts of their rank. So a C rank tuner can create a S rank part but cant use it

Custom Parts
▬▬▬▬▬▬ ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ▬▬▬▬▬▬ ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

_______Parts: Parts are what make up one's Air Treks, it is their body, system, and soul. Specialized parts can come in all sorts of shapes and sizes each with varying effects. Air Treks can be attributed with a maximum of four slots to properly manage the effects of these parts. The higher the rank of the A-Ts the more slots allotted. Only tuners may create and sell parts and they must be submitted for approval first. Each part must be in a different location on the Air Treks (for example a pair of A-Ts cannot have two different wheel types, or two motors in the same place running at the same time). Beginner riders who have just been introduced to the world of the Storm Riding world will have little to no knowledge regarding them. It is only after they reach D-Class that the understanding of Air Treks and its inner workings will become clearer to them. As such only D-Class riders and above have the ability to properly understand, use, and equip their own parts for their effects. However, as a rider's skill increases so too does their access to all sorts of various tools and parts. For example, a C-Class rider would be able to use both C and D Ranked parts, but a D-Class rider would only have access to D Ranked parts. The peak of this pyramid being the echelon of all parts, the Regalia. Due to their powerful abilities, Regalia, by nature are invasive and can interfere with the structure of one's A-T, Once activated it will deactivate any tunes, tricks boosts, and effects from other parts unless that part is specifically made to correspond with the Regalia. Parts by themselves do not efficiently increase the performance of Air Treks and as such cannot provide an increase stats. Only a tuner has the ability to bring out the full potential of a set of parts by performing a Tune Up. However, both Tuners and Riders are able to install parts on their own, the only exception to this being Regalia. Which must be installed by a Tuner. A storm rider must type out 500 words per part installed while a tuner (Ring Road Rider) only takes 200 words per part.

_______Custom-Tuning: An advanced form of tuning that can only be performed by a tuner who is D-Class or higher. It is the upper echelon of customization and a necessity for those who want both custom effects and the performance enhancement of a Tune Up. Custom-Tuning requires completely rebuilding a pair of Air Treks from the ground up to synchronize performance with effect and aesthetics. From wheels, to motors, to new aerodynamic systems, to no cushioning and even exterior design, everything has been completely overhauled to specifically forge a pair of Air Treks solely tailored for the client. This also includes appearance and other subtle details. The benefit of Custom-Tuned Air Treks is no other rider in the world will have the same parts (as they have been personally created for one individual) and tuning setup, in comparison with regular Custom Air Treks which may have parts anyone can generally purchase. Custom Air Treks also lack the optimization of parts provided by a Tuner during a Tune Up. Also due to the extensive procedure, tuners are able to install all four parts on a pair of Custom-Tuned Air Treks simultaneously. And just like the ranks of parts, Custom-Tuned Air Treks can only be created and used by Tuners The amount of Ryo and Word Count exchange is as followed by rank:

C Rank: $2500 USD | 100 Words (One time rate) (+ Normal TU Rate per Point) | 1 Custom Part Slot
B Rank: $3500 USD | 500 Words (One time rate) (+ Normal TU Rate per Point) | 2 Custom Part Slots
A Rank: $4500 USD | 750 Words (One time rate) (+ Normal TU Rate per Point) | 3 Custom Part Slots | +15% Wear
S Rank: $6500 USD | 1000 Words (One time rate) (+ Normal TU Rate per Point) | 4 Custom Part Slots | +25% Wear

_______ ○ The reason for the increasing cost in comparison to regular tuning by rank is the increasingly varied effects afforded by higher ranked parts. It should be noted that it is possible to "Rank Up" a Custom-Tuned pair of Air Treks that started at D Rank. Each increased rank of Air Trek requires +1000 Ryo and +250 Words, excluding the jump from D Rank to C Rank, along with the standard exchange for Tune Ups. Before a Custom-Tuned pair of A-Ts can be created/modified, you must have them approved in the Custom Air Trek Technology Approval thread.

_______Air Trek Weapons: C-Class tuners gain the ability to craft Air Trek weaponry. These weapons take any form the mind can imagine by taking advantage of the powerful technology of Air Treks. As with Custom Air Treks, there are limits, ranks, costs and rules. Your post doesn't have to be fully devoted to crafting, but a good portion of it must. You must first get your "blueprint" for the weapon approved in the A-T Technology Approval Thread before you can start crafting. A-T Technology follows the same Wear System as Air Treks:

C-Class: $1,000 USD | 300 Words
B-Class: $3,000 USD | 500 Words
A-Class: $5,500 USD | 750 Words
S-Class: $8,000 USD | 1000 Words

Repairs
▬▬▬▬▬▬ ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ▬▬▬▬▬▬ ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

_______ ○ A proficient rider of any road can perform basic level maintenance on a pair of Air Treks to reduce the Damage Level From Yellow to Green Only a Tuner can repair A-Ts in the Red. An A or S Class tuner is the only one able to repair a Regalia. Separate word and Ryo costs must be paid for AT repairs and Regalia repairs. Repairs that take Air Treks that are still Green back to 0% can be done by anyone but there is still a need to pay for the parts used to do so. Your post doesn't have to be fully devoted to repairs, but a good portion of it must.

AT Green: $200 USD
AT Yellow: 300 Words | $200 USD
AT Red: 500 Words | $100 USD
Regalia Yellow: 500 Words | $500 USD
Regalia Red: 750 Words | $1,000 USD

_______ ○ Link-Tuning is the highest and most complicated level of tuning. A harmonization of both biology and mechanical science between Rider and Regalia is via Tuner is needed for this process to be successful. By listening to a King's or Queen's biorhythm with the aid of an S.C. suit. An S.C Suit is a skin tight, elastic, and translucent, containing 7600 sensors within its fabric. Tuners also can carry a small machine that resembles a stenographer's typewriters. This machine allows them to monitor and re-tune regalia on the fly. A tuner matches the physical attributes of a rider specifically with his or her Regalia to maximize efficiency. Due to both the intimacy and complex nature of the process, the Link Tuner (as they are known) becomes a King's lifeline. The Regalia, King, Air Treks and Tuner all become linked together in completely harmony and synchronization, bringing out the full power of a King and his Regalia. A minimum of 750 words from the King and the Tuner each must be written to create the Link. Your post doesn't have to be fully devoted to tuning, but a good portion of it must talk about the tuning and its process and the current thoughts and actions of both Tuner and Rider during the Link Tuning process. Of course being a Link Tuner is not without its own set of rules:

_______ ○ Only Link Tuners can perform stat transfers on Regalia (with the proper trick located in the Trick Library). Negative transfer can not surpass -40. Linked Regalia restore the Air Trek's wear by 50% when activated. Unlinked Regalia restore nothing. Unlinked Regalia only give half the original statistical bonus when activated. Link Tuning cannot be done in battle. It can ONLY be done in the privacy of one's Base, Shop, or Home.

Owning a shop can be a big responsibility, but can also be a lot of fun! Feel free to create a place to do your work while your friends hangs out, but please remember to follow the simple rules of owning a shop.

_______Rules of Shop Owning: Shop owners must follow the costs set forth for customs, tuning and repairs. We encourage tuners to increase prices in order to make a profit. The prices listed above are "paid out" for supplies and do not go directly to the tuner.
_______Money for Stats: Tuners can exchange $1000 USD for 1 stat point since typically they don't battle and reap the word count bonuses of participating in Parts Wars. This doesn't mean they can't, but is merely added compensation for riding such a passive road. Furthermore, if you use this formula of trading USD for Stat Points you are no longer eligible for a Road Change or a Character Change unless that character is also on the Ring Road.
_______Buying a Shop Thread: You can create your shop in any Roleplay sub-forum. The description of your shop can be anything you want. We ask that you keep your first post up to date with the current Tune Ups your character can provide or a link to your tuner's profile. We suggest you also have a list of your prices. Remember that the "USD cost of tuning/repairs/customs" listed in this forum does not go to the tuner, but is the price you have to pay in order to perform your duties and will be deducted at the time of creation.
