Ferdie was getting married!
August had quite literally fallen over in excitement when he got not only the news, but an invitation.
Ferdie was getting married!! And somehow he’d been invited!
He could remember Ferdie tugging him along like a banner to get to the Daily Dragon room, Quidditch sessions up in the announcing booth, and looking forward to letters with writing and life feedback. Ferdie wasn’t only a literal celebrity in August’s eyes, he was also the mentor who had shaped August’s Hogwarts experience. Getting invited to Ferdie’s wedding felt like he’d been invited to the Royal wedding, it was such an honor.
August didn’t know Elisabet very well, but he had only good impressions of her and, well, anyone Ferdie chose could be nothing short of absolutely wonderful!
He was surprised by how many people he vaguely recognized and made a point to mingle during the festivities; primarily though, he stuck near Lizzie, who was probably going to tease him later about all the excitement he was subtle telegraphing. Between her and Vespera, there was always some interesting conversation happening at their table, and August hadn’t even thought a single cross thing at Lane all day. He chatted with Eion some, promising to send him an owl about studying soon. Today however, was about celebrating Ferdie and his new wife, and August was just honored to be able to celebrate with them.
