[Round 2] Citlali Galvquodi vs. Chidambar Kalyani

[Seaki]

It had to have been pure chance that Citlali won the last duel, and he was honestly still quite nervous. He sucked in a breath as he awaited his next opponent. Perhaps his beginners luck would extend to this duel as well, and he'd be able to progress again. It'd be amazing if he could get into the finals, or even the Semi-Finals.

He sucked in a breath, squaring his shoulders, and waited for the next round to begin.

He was honored to have fought against Bahati, she taught him so much in a single fight that he had learned, ever. She was forward, while he was defensive but understanding that a mixture of both would possibly make a fight go faster meant that he could not simply defend himself. His nerves were still at best, still shivering as he made his way towards the new challenger. He gulped hard. A male this time, and yet some of his nerves started to ease away... At least it was not going against his very code to fight another male. Females, he wished never to have to fight another again, although this tournament was filled with female challengers- he still remained respectful towards them.

"It is an honor."

He spoke as he lifted his head up, then to bow slightly.

Citlali smiled at his opponent, nodding a greeting. He was fortunate enough to draw first position, unlike his last duel. He wondered if it meant he would lose this duel, but he wanted to make it as far as he could.

"The honor's all mine," He told the other. He was ready to take this challenge head on, though, and he lunged in an attempt to strike the other as soon as the duel began. With any luck, He would land the first blow...

When the lion came at him, it was more intimidating than his former opponent but like his opponent, he was reading the lion's every move. He initiated the fight, and leaped in to the air- where he could have gotten hit. He dipped just a tad lower, biting behind the lion's arm using his own momentum to propel and guide him in to the ground. His footing immediately side jumped out of range to give the other lion a moment to get up.

There was no way Chida could compare to most in strength, but he was skilled in using that which strengthens them- against them.

The other lion had gotten a hit in, and Citlali jumped back frowning as he missed his own attack. Perhaps he wouldn't win this duel, but it wasn't over yet. He was determined, and fluffed up his white mane. He moved back, contemplating his next move. He watched closely, unwilling to get hit again.

He frowned, nerves stealing themselves with adrenaline at the actual thrill of the duel. He hoped the two could be friends after, but at the moment, this was a duel that would earn him a trophy, something that would prove he wasn't just a shy little boy.

He moved to attack, hoping he wouldn't miss this time.

The attack made more contact that he thought. When the other readied, he tried to fake him with barreling towards him. Instead, the lion caught him, and he tried to pull away. 'Don't hit the face' He tried to always keep in mind. He went for a hit, regrettably so made contact with the other's shoulder without his claws. After the fail attempt to push the other off, he tucked himself below the lion, rolled upon his back and kicked up in to the other's stomach. He didn't think it could work, but it did.

He didn't want to scar anyone, so the best thing to do was to tire them, use their own attacks against them or hit without claws!
