CHILDHOODDarcy and his twin sister were born right before the winter holidays much to their mother's joy who frequently called them her "greatest presents." Sadly she contracted a fatal illness and died when the children were still rather young. Their father, a pureblood wizard who had been expelled from Hogwarts due to circumstance unknown, was a drunk working dead end jobs. After his wife's death he took the brunt of his life's frustrations on his remaining children. Darcy tried to shield his sister from the worst of it all but he was still only a child himself. The children fended for themselves usually resorting to stealing from their father whenever he had passed out from a bender to buy food or supplies to store and bearing the attack that was sure to come from their transgression. All they could do was count down the days until they received their school letters and be free from the madness.
SCHOOL YEARS
However this would not be the case. When they Darcy and his sister received their Hogwarts letters, their father burnt them and informed them that they would not be enrolling. When he tried to send word of what was happening his sister's life was threatened and that letter was also burnt and forgotten. When an owl came asking for a response both children denied their birthrights and were sure that they would never escape until their majority. One day when their father was out doing who knew what, they came across two old school trunks in the attic. One belonging to their father and the other to their mother. Their father's only contained core books up to his third year as well as two electives while their mother had all seven years as well as dozens of elective texts. The best thing in the trunk however was their mother's wand which each twin used to practice the spells and jinxes from within their treasured trunks. Over the course of five years, they continued learning all they could from their parent's trunks as well as doing odd jobs to keep the bills afloat and food on their table. One fateful afternoon their father returned early and caught them practicing their magic and went into a furious drunken rage. Darcy, seeing the manic glint in his father's eyes, made sure to push his sister lock her into their bathroom and confronted his father head on. He, however, never stood a chance and was quickly overtaken and fell unconscious. When he awoke, he found himself at St. Mungos and saw a man and woman he'd never met sitting my his bedside. The man informed him that they were his aunt and uncle and had been contacted by the ministry after his sister had floo'd for help. Due to their age however, he could not formally adopt them but since their father had been taken into prison he became their legal guardians. His uncle, Luke Bennett, provided him and his sister tutors on the magical subjects they had been self-teaching as well as procuring them their own wands. While late, they were able to take their OWL's and their NEWT's in order to have a brighter future.
POST GRADUATIONAfter taking his NEWT's, Darcy fell into a bit of a limbo having had no idea what to do with his life. So he applied and was hired at a store in Hogsmeade named Dervish Bangs which allowed him to play with his hobby of tinkering all day while he thought of his future. While working, he met and was quickly infatuated with a young woman by the name of Jane Doyle. After a rather awkward meeting, they exchanged owl addresses and became fast friends. As she was still a seventh year, Jane couldn't reply as dutifully as Darcy could which still left him with time to think about his future goals. After talks with his family, he decided upon becoming an Auror and joined their training program. After three long years he finally graduated to become a fully-fledged Auror as well as gaining a partner and best friend in a man named Magni Borson. Unfortunately during those years he became estranged from his twin sister who began dealing in things he had no wish of becoming apart of and wished the same for her only for his pleas to fall on deaf ears. Thankfully also during these three years, he became even closer to Jane finally asking her out and dating her before ultimately asking for her hand in marriage.
They were married in the Spring of 2027 and moved into a cottage in Devon which Darcy purchased with the help of his uncle and his new father-in-law. Just a year later they were blessed with a little girl they named Aurora and just two years after that were blessed again with their own set of twins they named Belle and William. However, the couple began having problems soon after the twins' birth. While Darcy did occasionally work long hours, he made sure to make up his time away during the weekend or on holidays, nonetheless Jane was not altogether happy with being alone most days with three young children. She proposed a nanny for the children which he wasn't opposed to but simply didn't see the point putting more faith into finding them a small daycare where they could be among children their own age rather than a higher priced nanny. They soon found themselves arguing about sometimes the silliest things (what to dress their son in, what to have for breakfast) to things they had never argued before like Jane's familial wealth and status. Finally it came to a point where neither was truly happy any longer and proposed to divorce. Darcy filed for sole and split custody while marginally hoping for sole but had been swiftly denied for both. Custody it seems, largely concerns itself with the mother rather than the father if they have the means, which she clearly did. Jane took custody of both his daughters but in a rare upset, his son Will's custody was given to him since the little boy had spoken rather vehemently that he would not like to go with his mother. Darcy grew rather despondent in the months following the divorce and took a leave of absence from his job to care more for his son who became wildly rebellious after his mother and sister's leaving. Only after seeing a mind healer about a year later did both Bennett men find solace once again. In the frame of that year though, Darcy met a young woman by the name of Ned and her young son Orion nicknamed Ray. The two young boys....well they didn't connect but they also didn't leave visible marks which was enough for both parents who were both looking for viable playmates for their rough-edged children. Over the next year and a half after meeting her, Darcy finally accepted from himself that he was, in fact, attracted to Ned and in a leap of faith asked the mother out on a date and was flabbergasted when she agreed. They've only been dating about a year but he likes to think it's going very well. Even if her son sometimes gives him the evil eye.
Things had been going very well; so well that Darcy tried his luck again and asked Ned to marry him after years of steady dating (after asking both Will and Orion). To his relief she agreed and they were read in a private ceremony at the Ministry. Even if Magni still somehow managed to create a party in the office an hour later. They all moved into a larger flat with an actual backyard and everything was happy and settled until the summer of 2039 when Will was kidnapped. Despite protocol, he worked diligently on the case managing to locate his son and the other kidnapped young child after only a few days, which was few days too long in his honest opinion. Darcy may have been a tad overprotective of both his sons since the incident but is steadily loosening up.

xxx𝒞𝒽𝒾𝓁𝒹𝒽𝑜𝑜𝒹xxx Will was born to Darcy and Jane Bennett as the youngest of their three children. He was born alongside his twin sister, Belle. He had a moderately happy infancy, which grew into a rather grumpy toddler-hood. Jane loved playing dress-up with the girls, and Will often got squished into clothes he didn't enjoy. Shortly after his fourth birthday, He watched as his parents started arguing, which led to them getting separated. Aurora and Belle both went with Jane, and even though they wanted Will to join, he decided adamantly he'd rather stay with his dad. And so, Will was left with his dad and enrolled in kindergarten. He hated it! Who had the dumb idea to rally a bunch of icky kids into a little room and try to teach them and make them nap and make them have outside time too?!
Will didn't mind, however,when his dad met a nice lady named Ned. What he didn't like, however, was Ned's whiny baby son, Ray. Luckily, Darcy rather liked Ned, so Will had (albeit angrily) agreed to tolerate Ray for his dad's sake. With the help of weekly therapy sessions with Mr Niall, Will learned to use his words before injuring people, and has this managed to avoid too much time in the principal's office. Unfortunately, it still hasn't improved his moods very much.
After relenting to the addition of Ned and Ray in their lives, Will began to actually quite enjoy them. Though he still teased Ray and rolled his eyes at Ned, he secretly liked their company. Following a long talk with his dad, Ned was proposed to by Darcy. Will dressed himself up for the wedding, despite thinking his outfit looked incredibly dumb. He didn't much like that they had to move house, but did rather like his new book nook. In the summer of 2039, Will and another girl got kidnapped by a couple of thugs. Luckily, Darcy got the team of Aurors together and both kids were rescued in only a short time, only a few minor injuries and a bit of upset. He was brought home and healed, though he managed to develop a penpal with Sawyer, the girl who had gotten kidnapped too. It worked out, since he'd been writing his sisters less and less. Besides, he had a therapist, and it didn't seem like she did.
xxx𝒮𝒸𝒽𝑜𝑜𝓁 𝒴𝑒𝒶𝓇𝓈xxx Once in school, Will was sorted into Slytherin. Cool. The supposedly "evil" house seemed right where he belonged. He kept up his letters to his sisters (despite the few replies), plus weekly letters to his dad and Ned. It wasn't until second year, however, that he connected with an actual human in school with him. He apparently liked comics as much as Will, so the two had friendly enough debates, and would even meet up in the library to share books and discuss the characters and story arcs. Unfortunately, that was about all Will had to write home about, since apparently school was more boring than just sitting home alone.
xxx𝒜𝒹𝓊𝓁𝓉𝒽𝑜𝑜𝒹xxx As soon as he graduated, Will grabbed his grades and went straight to the Ministry to hand in his application. He also spoke with his mum and sisters, who were attempting to get him over for a visit. Will became a full-fledged Auror after years of work, finally one of the real members of the team. While out shopping for comics as a treat, Will met Chanda, and they quickly became friends. Lulu teased him for a while, before finally Will asked Chanda on a date, where they really, really hit it off. It was pretty cool.

■ SERENENed has always been very calm, bordering on almost somber, and this has only increased with age. She's content to linger in the background, and while she has no issues with commanding attention when she wants it, she generally prefers to stay quiet and think before she speaks. Ned is rarely angry or upset, and prides herself on her ability to stay clearheaded, even in stressful situations. ■ DEVOTEDNed is extremely loyal to the people she puts her trust and faith in, and as a rule would generally do anything for her family or friends. She's a loving sister and mother, and rarely wavers in her dedication to the things that matter to her. Ned would rather die than betray those she cares about, and once you earn her respect you have it for a very long time. ■ CHARISMATICNed has always been charming and likable in a way that borders on manipulative. This came to a head during her teenage years, where she was quite used to getting her way and would do anything to keep it that way. Now that she's settled into adult life she realizes that not everyone is going to fall for good looks and pretty words, and has since toned down her approach to getting what she wants. ■ DISTRUSTFULNed tends to assume the worst of others right off the bat, as she sees it as quicker than being let down again and again. A gullible, naive child, she argues, makes for a naturally suspicious adult. In general she doesn't have a lot of confidence in humanity as a whole, and at times thinks she'd rather have been born a muggle, what with all the issues of the wizarding world. But once she comes to trust you she'll have your back no matter what. ■ PESSIMISTICNed's pessimism crept in during her late teens and twenties, and while not annoying, illogically defeatist, she does tend to keep her hopes to a minimum. People will probably disappoint you, and it's just something you have to accept. When she's feeling overwhelmed or alone she can get particularly gloomy, and it can take her a while to break out of her low spirits. ■ POSSESSIVENed was never one to share right off the bat as a child, and she has a tendency to want the total attention of the people she loves when she demands it. Obviously this isn't very rational, so she tries to temper her more jealous, overprotective nature by distancing herself emotionally from others, with mixed results. She doesn't like to be ignored.

CHILDHOODNed was born into a large, wealthy European pureblooded clan as the third child of six and the second eldest daughter. With one older brother, one older sister, two younger sisters, and one younger brother, she spent most of her childhood looking after and being looked after by her siblings. Her parents were not close with their children and often busy with 'family business', and when Ned was sent off to Durmstrang she only missed her siblings.
SCHOOL YEARS Ned was placed in Vihrea, and enjoyed her time at school, making many friends and very few enemies. She took a particular interest in Muggle Studies and muggles in general, never having much exposure to them as a child. On her breaks at home she spent a lot of time hanging around muggle communities, trying desperately to fit in and learn as much about their world as possible. Around the time of her graduation from school the sudden deaths of her parents were announced, though the cause of their deaths, which were far from accidental, was not made public. The Heist clan's family politics had exploded out of control and the secondary branches were rapidly dissolving. Her older brother Sparrow, now the head of the family, assumed control of their finances and guardianship of his younger siblings and moved them all to England. While not grief stricken over the death of her parents, Ned was left shaken by her family's sudden upheaval.
POST GRADUATIONNed lived what was essentially a life of leisure for her first few years in Britain, traveling around, visiting various historical sites and muggle and magical villages and cities, flitting from party to party and friend group to friend group. She had a series of vapid, short lived relationships, before growing restless and joing up with a group of other witches on a quest to find a magical artifact, mostly for the excuse to get out of the UK for a while. She was gone on a few years, and when she returned, was older and wiser and more ready to settle down into a somewhat normal existence. Ned got a job with the Muggle Liaison Office, and enjoyed herself immensely.
Through her work she met a muggle man she took a liking to, and he to her, and what started out as a one night stand evolved into a fling that lasted until she suddenly found herself pregnant. Not only had he lied about being sterile, he'd also lied about being married, and both furious and mortified, she felt completely hopeless, even after deciding to keep the baby. Her relationship with her own parents had been cold and distant, and she had serious doubts about how she would fare as a mother. But with the birth of Orion, or Ray, as he quickly came to be called, to her distaste, one cold January morning, suddenly that seemed to matter much less. Now she had a son, and all he had in the world was her, and she resolved that he would never want for anything from her, especially not love and affection.
When Ray was a year old she met a fellow single parent, Darcy Bennett, as well as his son, Will, a few years older than Ray. The adults became fast friends, and their children regularly tried to kill one another, but none of that stopped Ned and Darcy from eventually beginning to date, both quite happy to have a laid-back, adult romance with no expectations or pressure. Eventually Darcy proposed and the two married quietly at the Ministry. When Will was kidnapped and held for ransom Ned was furious, then relieved when he was found safe. ■ SPONTANEOUSRay is quite unpredictable, in that he could be giggling one moment and crying the next. His moods are hard to pin down, and he's very quick to change his mind. In general, however, he is very relaxed and easygoing. ■ ADAPTABLERay is easily able to adjust to new situations, especially given his age. Or lack of age. He's not very picky about what's going on around him, and he easily adjusts to new routines and new faces. He's not a very sensitive or touchy kid, and he generally gets along with most people, be they adult or child. ■ CREATIVERay likes to imagine lots of different things and is very interested in art and music. His mother lets him cover the walls of his room with pictures and paintings all done by him, and he's also learning how to play the guitar and drums, although he can be a bit... obnoxious while practicing. ■ INSENSITIVERay doesn't care much about other people's feelings and usually doesn't go out of his way to be super friendly, although he's been taught to always be polite. CHILDHOODRay, born Orion Alastair Heist, is the son of Eluned 'Ned' Heist, a pureblood witch, and a muggle lover. His sudden presence came as a shock to his mother, whom had thought the man she'd been sleeping with was sterile, and to his father, who was married already, with a wife he'd also neglected to tell his mistress about. His parents came to some sort of deal in which his father would quietly pay child support for the next eighteen years, and his mother would not send him and his wife a sarcastic Christmas card every year depicting his growth. Ray doesn't notice that his father is decidedly not involved in his life; the only parent he knows is his mother, and he's very happy with just her, thank you very much, although he supposed her boyfriend Darcy was alright, even if he couldn't stand Will, Darcy's kid. Luckily, by the time his mother married Darcy, he and Will were no longer trying to kill each other (at least not in public), although Ray doubted they'd ever really get along. His only worry when Will was kidnapped was that his new stepbrother's smart remarks were probably too much for any kidnapper to (understandably) bear.
