this has been a topic of discussion lately....jeebus you did a lot of research into it. And I like the ideas. We added another one into it, outside of gaia recruiting.

We're wrestling fans, right, and most of us know some other wrestling fans that we didn't meet here (least I assume so). After going through some forums Carty noticed the general Gaia community seems to be low, and even lower on those stating an interesting in wrestling, so we thought maybe we could find some people not from Gaia to bring here to this guild (of course I'm going to scout for mine first). So I'm doing some scouting in other places

That being said, the options you provided I have no problem doing as well. Let's look where we can

Further to add on, I would suggest perhaps one of the nicer people be dedicated to helping welcome any new people into the fed, someone other than just the owner that can nicely help them with any questions about how things work, creating their character, etc. Reason for this, in my mind, is to avoid anyone being run off by anyone calling themselves being helpful but saying things in a harsh way that turns new people off.

On Jarel's thought about welcoming people, I think that's something everyone here can do! If we want to create a new community here and encourage it to last, let's learn from past mistakes others have made! Positive attitudes, avoid drama, backstage politics etc and focus on having a fun time!

I'm going to nix the links. I don't trust the mods, they're too testy.
Over a decade ago I asked for porn links, a month later they temp ban me.
Also, they're very on top of what topic is and isn't to be in their categorized forums.
Just recently I posted a photo of actual poo in a toilet, put that into a spoiler and warned others not to open it.
Got a warning.

Yes, we need to play nice and act it too.
We're going to need to decide as a community to stop putting Chrono as our Community Leader and put Cartwright as our new perceived Community Leader.

well I agree we all need to make the community a positive experience for anyone we do bring in. I'd say no real community leader would be necessary, as the perception will kind of fall on anyone running a fed to lead, to an extent, but I know some of us just like to help. My main concern is making sure we're not kicking these new folks in the teeth if they have a created character and they want to call themselves some form of god or dragon like we're innovators of such titles but just let them come in, create their character, and roleplay. Don't care if they carbon copy brock lesnar and just rename themselves. whatever works so long as they're enjoying themselves
