Meet Tyra
Name: Tyra

Physical Description:
Tyra is a bit on the tall side for a woman, with long legs that fit her body perfectly. She is of average weight, most of that being lean muscle, that she has trained to get to make sure she can prove herself with her blue dragon. Her eyes are a light blue, almost icy, with an almond shape to them. She has an x scar on her cheek from an incident that occured during the hatching that she impressed. Her hair is a dark brown with naturally light highlights that she has cut short on the right side of her head, and in a braided tail.
Personality:
Tyra has always been a loner, preferring to spend time by herself then surrounded by a lot of people. It has always been hard, living in Keeron Hold, as it was pretty big and busy, but Tyra was able to find ways that she could recharge with the runners that her mother and father worked with. As much as she prefers to do be alone, as well as do things on her own, Tyra knows she has to put herself out of her comfort zone. Orodreth certainly helps her stay around more and more people for longer amounts of times, but she still needs to get away after a while to recharge. Adapting to High Reaches from Western is a challenge for Tyra, but she plans on making the change with ease, with Orodreth's help of course.
She has always wanted to know all of the facts and information about a situation before jumping headlong into it. Meticulous and pragmatic, Tyra has a very logical mind, one that helps her to analyze situations so that she is well aware of what she is getting into. She has been known to focus on facts too much and would rather form an opinion on a situation based upon experience instead of intuition. A gut feeling bothers her, she doesn't believe you can make an informed decision without the facts.
Tact is something that Tyra does not seem to have. She would rather tell the truth, as well as be told the truth, instead of having someone be tactful or nice about it. Sure there are ways to tell someone nicely, but she might not even do that too well either. Because of this, and the fact that Tyra focus' on tasks and facts, she has been called uncaring by many people. She can be seen as indifferent as well, or hard to show emotion, but Tyra has just made herself wear a bit of a mask, to hide away from people. She fears that if she shows too much emotion at certain times, to certain people, she might be taken for being weak.
With all of this on the outside, there are only a few people who really care about getting close enough to see what Tyra is like beyond those layers. She is caring and is very loyal to her friends, family and Weyr. Orodreth is helping to open her up more and more, though there are some things that are just so ingrained that they can't be changed.

Where Have You Been?
Born in Keroon hold to two Master Beastcrafters, Tyra learned at an early age that she bonded easier with animals then she did with other humans. Animals didn't hide their feelings about you, they were upfront with them. If an animal didn't like you, they showed it. There was no tiptoeing around about feelings or pretending. Because she spent her time, at such a young age, around the runners, Tyra became very blunt with her words and facts. Something that her family found amusing but, as she grew, other people in the hold didn't care for this very much.
Tyra's elder sister Skylla helpt to protect her younger sister a lot, even if Tyra didn't think she needed it. Some of the other hold kids teased Tyra because of how she acted, but she never cared or let it get to her. What did their opinions matter to her anyways? It was when Skylla was searched that Tyra found herself alone, sure she had her mother and father but her elder sister had been the closest thing she had to a friend, with her gone, she didn't have anyone. Surprisingly enough, Tyra found herself shocked by this, wishing for some companionship from a kid her own age, but most of the kids in the hold didn't seem to care enough to try and be friends with her. This left Tyra alone until she herself was searched.
At Western Weyr, Tyra worked on her studies as a Candidate, not to worried about making any friends. Her sister was there as a Weyrling by the time she was searched, so Tyra didn't get to spend too much time with her and Neith. Instead Tyra did manage to make a couple of friends who were just as focused on their studies as she was. Their group was pretty much inseparable, but soon it started to dwindle down, slowly, as they Impressed one by one, leaving Tyra as the only one who hadn't Impressed yet.
At her seventeenth turn Tyra finally managed to Impress and was shocked. She had expected to Impress a green honestly, like her sister had. Most women Impressed either a Gold or a Green anyways, but no, she had managed to Impress a Blue instead. Even at Western, who had a different view on the dragon colors, Tyra had to prove herself with her newly Impressed dragon.
Tyra managed to work just as hard as she always had and Orodreth proved to be the perfect companion and balance to her. He helped to remind her when she needed sleep or to eat, funny that the little hacthling was the one making sure his bonded ate as well.
Upon graduating, Tyra was placed on one of the Wings, even though patrols and practice runs were not done as often as they were at High Reaches. It was only because she was a Dragonrider, as was Skylla, that the two managed to stay safe and help the others to protect western and the surrounding holds once thread returned.
Tyra was transferred to High Reaches from Western when a new influx of blues were needed. A little cautious about this change, Tyra listened to her sister and Orodreth, as they told her the best things that could happen from this. She would have to work harder, as a female rider on a Blue fighting dragon, but she hadn't done anything different in her life.

Meet Orodreth
Name: Orodreth
Age: 8
Color: Blue
Size: 31'
Physical Description:
Orodreth is on the larger side for a blue dragon. Muscular and intimidating, he is a perfect specimen for a fighting dragon. A lighter blue color, with almost blueish white on the end of this tail and snout. His wings are a darker lighter blue as well.
Personality:
The perfect partner, as they always are, Orodreth does his best to help Tyra. He pushes her to step out of her comfort zone more and more, to spend more time around more and more people, even talking to them. With him around, Tyra has an easier time being around people she doesn't now and crowds don't bother her. He does enjoy when it is just them, spending time in their Weyr.
The change from Western to High Reaches was a little jarring for Orodreth as well, the change in Hierarchy instead of focusing on achievements and talents. Orodreth has a bit of a hard time bowing to an following this hierarchy, though he knows they had to follow it.
He is protective of Tyra, especially since his bonded pushes herself a little too far from time to time. He has to remind her to eat during these times and to even get sleep. This isn't often, but he does his best to take care of her, as she always took care of him.
