Personality: Growing up on her own in a secluded valley, Zosime developed her own code of honor. Whether it makes sense to others or not doesn’t matter to her. She will follow it regardless. When she believes she’s right there may be a butting of heads when she gets firm and head strong. While others may be in mental turmoil over what they are she isn’t. She knows who she is, and she is Zosime, a Wind Serpent.
Following her code Zo seeks to protect those dear to her. Harm will not come to them if she can stop it. However, while trying to protect others she may put herself into danger over her head. Nor will she allow those in power to abuse others. She will solidly stand behind an honorable leader, but will not hesitate to overthrow a corrupt leader.
Deep inside her calm exterior Zo has a passion for foals. She will do anything to protect a foal; to her it doesn’t matter if the foal belongs to her herd or not. Her life will be willingly sacrificed if it means the salvation of a foal. Zo secretly loves to play with the foals and will not hesitate if one is brave enough to ask. She has extreme patience with the young, and will teach them to hunt small animals.
Because of her kalona side, Zo does prefer to eat meat. She is very polite about the whole matter even going so far as to give thanks to the animal she is about to kill. Because of her code she will not hunt anything larger than a beaver. As a foal learning to hunt small game in her valley it morphed into a rule not to be broken as an adult. Even if this means she must spend hours longer than everyone else to get the meat she needs. Her code does not ban her from eating large game meat if offered by another. Her favorite meat, oddly, is fish.
Haven recently left her secluded valley Zo has never encountered a human. Should she meet one she will be wary at first. If they wish to approach and do so openly with empty hands she may let them near. It is unlikely that she will ever be “tamed.”
History: While growing up in a secluded valley Zosime trained her mind, body, and soul. Realizing that the two halves of herself could easily tear her apart from the inside out she acknowledged what she was and came to terms with it. She compromised by hunting game, but only small animals. This means she must spend a lot of effort hunting a mouthful at a time and Kalril helps with this.
When she reached maturity she left her mountain valley home and began to travel. She met and saw many new and exciting things; these traveling months tested her training and mind. Now she was looking for the security of a herd. Only to find a herd wasn't nearly as secure as she had hoped. Starting a herd from scratch was so much harder than she anticipated. The tiny group fell apart and scattered. Leaving the young mare alone once more. She needed to give this more thought and one day she might be given the chance to try again.
Many years passed as Zosime wandered across the width and breath of the land. The young mare grew with time and experience into a mature mare. Through time and hardships she never gave up hope of starting a family for herself. Zosime now into her 11th year, had a fateful encounter. She met not one, not two, but three other female serpents. Excitement filled her. After all this time there were others like her! Perhaps there was still the hope of her finding a mate for herself too. The trio of mares, Viper, Fyglia, and Vyk'Zlade agreed to join up and form a herd.
Now with renewed purpose, Zo has set off once more. She is searching for the perfect place to set up a territory that they all can call home.

Herd InfoSABIN ORIG POST Wind Serpents - Wind serpents have features in common with both Kalona and Kirin - which is a rather counterintuitive combination. They are adept at flight, and have a sinuous movement in the air that speaks of a snake-like nature. Most of them are not evil, but prefer the taste of meat. They have long fang-like canines and can open their jaws quite wide. Some of them have a mild toxin in their fangs that can lock up the muscles of prey animals. It has only a very mild affect on creatures as large as soquili.

Hunting is his favorite past time. Watching the prey scurry for cover greatly amuses him. Anything scurrying for the faint hope of cover is watched intensely.

Personality: Speed is all about speed as her name suggests. This little bird does everything at full throttle. She loves living life in the fast lane and slow bores her beyond mentioning.
History: She quite literally smacked into Hipelagan on her way somewhere important. All thoughts of where she had been going completely knocked from her mind at the sight of the mare. They matched so well!

Personality: Caryiln Naia is sweet, albeit a little forward and somewhat brutally honest. She's brave in the face of just about everything, except for when it comes to matters of the heart. When it comes to love, Caryilin is shy and backward, her lips closed on to any words that would show one how she feels.
History: Before she stumbled upon the Kawani lands, Caryiln lived in a small herd that was comprised of mostly family. Like many a young foal, Caryiln wove exaggerated tales that came from her imagination to her parents. Worried that their daughter would continue this "lying" habit into adulthood, both parents impressed upon her the need to tell the truth, regardless of if it hurt.
As she grew, Caryiln became enraptured with a stallion from another herd. Caryiln spent as much time trying to catch the eye of her would be mate, and succeeded in gaining his attentions. The stallion was egotistical and arrogant, though only to hide his low self esteem. As the two lovers sat one dusk, watching the sun dip below the mountains, he asked Caryiln what she thought of him. Her thoughts immediately turned to how she made him feel, and how she wanted to spend all her life with him, but the lessons her parents had taught her entered into her mind, and so she told him that she thought he was somewhat egotistical and arrogant, and at times overbearing, but that she loved him even with those qualities. Her lover did not hear the words after, the ones where she spoke of his kindness for those in need, or how he was so gentle when he dealt with the foals in his herd and became enraged, focusing on the things that cut at his low self esteem and his inadequacies. He struck out at her with his hooves and slung hideous insults and untruths at her, driving her from her home. Caryiln did not see that the fault lay with the stallion, as he heard only the negative and not the warm words of love she spoke to him. She vowed then that she would never enter into another matter where her heart would be at risk of being broken. She left her homelands with her head hung low in shame and sorrow.

Personality: Koralo needs his space and will aggressively defend it. He loves working with and growing underwater plants. His passion lies in his immaculate garden. Always Koralo is on the look out for something new to add in; non-living objects to give accents and coral/living plants to expand his garden.
Of his family, he does care for them. All the touchy-feeliness gets on his nerves fairly quickly. He will tolerate it slightly more from his mother than his father or brother. His older brother's pranks are trying at times, and Koralo has sworn to get even some day. It has yet to happen. Koralo would never hesitate to defend any of them if a situation called for it; no matter how much they irritate him.
Koralo privately has no interest in seathi mares. He never has and doesn't understand the fuss Ichthian makes over it. To appease them he says he just hasn't found the right one yet.
History: Koralo was born in an old oceanic volcanic creator to his parents Ichthian and Menthe. At a young age he was fascinated with the way plants grew better around his home than places further out. He spent large amounts of time trying to cultivate the tiny waving grasses and dealing with his older brother's pranks.
As the young seathi grew older, he started to include coral in his cultivation. Koralo found a love for growing sea life, however a love for a female seathi never arrived. Adulthood came, and he suffered through attempts by his father to introduce nice seathi mares. Finally the time came for him to move out of his parent's house.
Koralo chose his home some distance from his parent's and brother's homes. Still close enough to enjoy the effects of the volcanic rich soil, but far enough away to be on his own and out of his father's helpful hoofs. An elegant seaweed and coral garden, that is his passion, marks his home.

Personality: How would Skeleld describe himself? Ornery, of course. Like any good Imp, the stallion grins anytime chaos is mentioned. Skeleld does his best to be the center of whatever chaos is happening. If there’s anyway he can make it worse you can be sure he will. He loves to get under the tail of anyone he encounters; more often than not, by lighting a Spark there. Perhaps not the best way to introduce himself, but he can’t help it when he loves watching the unfortunate soquili jump for the sky.
Skeleld does have a serious side. It would surprise many that he takes healing seriously. Everything is fun and games until someone is hurt. As soon as he knows someone is hurt, Skeleld switches gears instantly. He does his best to tend to their wounds and make them feel better, but his healing power is limited. The stallion, however, does not go out of his way to search for the injured; he just happens across them.
History: Skeleld was born during the fling of an Imp mother and Minicorn father. His mother left with his sibling shortly after they popped out of their baskets. He was left with his father in a Minicorn herd. Often he wonders what life would have been like had he been the one to go with his mother.
Time was tough for the little crossbreed prankster. Countless pranks plagued the minicorn herd. Living as the only half Imp in the herd it was easy to find the culprit anytime sparks flew. As he pranked, Skeleld learned what he could and couldn't do spark wise. Completely by accident, the foal found he could 'blink' his sparks. His father did his best to teach his foal to be solemn, and how to heal. He slowly realized that he would never be as good as any of the minicorns in the herd.

Personality: Tormented, Veslorurn is haunted by the souls of those whom have died at the paws of skinwalkers.
History: After traveling as a young stallion, he found himself haunted by the souls of soquili killed by purewalkers. He felt more in touch with the dead and decided to set up his home in a neglected graveyard. Veslo tends to the graves and sees they each have fresh offerings, usually flowers in summer and evergreens in winter. The young stallion found that others were frightened by his pelt and avoided him.
After some time had passed, he went to the Wishing star to ask for a mate who wouldn't be afraid of him. A short while later, a blue, prank-prone, mare entered his life. Charnette moved into the graveyard with him, and for some time they have lived happily together. One winter, a hind mare found her way into the graveyard and Veslo thought she was a spirit at first. It turned out she wasn't, but he invited her back if she ever wished to return. He duly warned her of the terrors that were purewalkers.
The hind, Tove, was looking for her brother. Eventually she found him and his mate, a charmed purewalker. Unsure what to do, the mare brought the pair back to Veslo and Charn's graveyard. At first he was furious for bringing a beast to his home after he'd warned her. It took some time, but he realized this purewalker didn't act as others would. In the end he agreed to let them stay. The pair of stallions found themselves with three baskets. Charn was delighted to help raise the trio.
All the adults were horrified when one of the baskets proved to be a purewalker like Nash. She was vicious when she popped out and scarred her two siblings. Veslo had to construct a pen to hold her until they could find and place a charm on her. The skinwalker, Runa, has dubbed the graveyard her territory and protects it and those linked with it.
Afterwards, Charn had expressed her hopes for baskets and foals of their own. It just so happened the Wishing Star was once more passing by. Veslo led Charn to the biggest gravestone under the light of the star, and there they made a wish for a basket all their own. Their wish was granted.

Personality: Krystallos is a steady pillar for those troubled by life. He is a steadfast friend and loyal companion. Mellow, calm, and confident the stallion provides a sphere of serenity for those who are a bit more high strung.
History: An injured mer washed ashore after she'd been trapped in a discarded fishing net and dashed against some rocks. Trapped, she lay drying out in the sun until an unlikely savior arrived. Ivlia, a uni-kelpie cross, found the injured mer Cirelondiel, and nursed her back to health. While convalescing, Cirelondiel had a fling with with the stallion. Two shells resulted, Krystallos and his sister Earyende.
Ivlia stayed around for a time, then for some unknown reason to the mers, he struck inland and they never saw him again. Cirelondiel tried to raise the young, obviously close, siblings as best she could, but it was hard on her. As they neared adulthood, their mother swam away and never returned. They haven't heard anything from or about her since.
Krystallos promised his sister that he would always be there for her, no matter what.

History: Aspasia loves to travel and see new places. While on one of her many journeys she encountered a group of refugees. She decided to stay with them and be their guide until they found a new place that was suitable to them. It was during this time that she met a young stallion of the group and ended up falling in love. They had a fling that resulted in three lovely filly foals. Two of them had odd dino throwbacks.

Personality: Oberyx was once kinder and easier to get along. That changed when she was driven from her home and believed her clutch brother was killed. She became wary of others, fearing they would also try to hurt her. The mare distrusts others; particularly the Sunblessed as it was one of them that drove her from her home. It's not easy for her to trust others and let them into her inner circle.
She specializes in making poisons, generally for the use of protecting the herd. Sometimes she'll let the healers have some to use to heal if she's in a good mood. Oreryx is very prideful of her jewelry. She says it reminds her of where she comes from.
History: She fled the Spires with a group of others when the suppression of Shadowseekers started. During the escape attempt, she was separated from her clutch brother, Viryx, and presumed him lost or dead. She was devastated by his loss, and hardened herself against others.
Now a couple years later, and he has caught up to the group. Oberyx is overjoyed to have her clutch sibling back.
