- Once bitten, all werewolves may choose to either register with the ministry of magic, or remain rogue. Wolves who remain rogue are absorbed into the pack, and must follow pack rules, swearing a blood oath.
- Penalties for breaking the oath are decided by the Alpha on a case by case basis. Anyone who betrays the pack in a way that undermines the safety and lives of its members will be killed.

xxxPACK BANISHMENTxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

- Wolves who register immediately following their bite are excised from the pack for the protection of it's other members. Excised wolves must swear not to report any details which would result in the discovery of the pack at large at the time of their registration. Penalty for betraying the pack by giving details that would lead to their discovery and/or capture is death.
- Pack members who prove themselves to be a detriment to the pack with reckless behavior and/or refusal to follow the rules and commands of the Alpha will be banished. Any leak of information that will harm the pack out of revenge will be met with death.

xxxWOLFSBANE POTIONSxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

- Taking Wolfsbane is optional. If you choose to take it, your potion must be acquired from a reputable source, or you will be expected to prove your competency in brewing it yourself.
- If you choose not to take it, you will be required to stay in the deep woods where others are safe from you, and are expected to be accompanied by a pack member who has taken it in case of emergencies.
- Failure to follow protocol regarding potions will result in punishment from the Alpha. Repeated failure will result in being turned in to the Ministry of Magic via anonymous source.

xxxATTACKING HUMANSxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

If, in spite of precautions, someone attacks a human, the pack is expected to handle the situation. Members who have taken Wolfsbane will be responsible for separating violent wolves from the victim.
- If the victim flees, the pack leaders will attempt to locate them the following day via checking nearby muggle hospitals and St. Mungo's.
- Punishment for the attack will depend on the circumstances; if the wolf is at fault, punishment will be doled out accordingly. If the human is at fault (wrong time, wrong place), no punishment will be levied against the offender.

- Pack members are expected to follow their Alpha's orders, or in his absence, his second-in-command's orders, without exception. Ignoring or blatant defiance will not be tolerated. Mutiny will not be tolerated. Harming other members of the pack will not be tolerated.
- If you have a problem with someone, you take it to the Alpha. If you have a problem with the Alpha, you either take it up with the Alpha or get over it.

spaceThe Blood Oath Pack's original Alpha, Hector Thorton, was previously a ministry employee working for the Werewolf Capture Unit. He was bitten in an altercation with a rogue werewolf, which also resulted in the death of his partner, Davin Lowery. Having originally joined the unit out of an intense, carefully hidden hatred for werewolves, his psyche could not cope with now being one himself. He never returned home or to work after the attack, dedicating himself to tracking down the wolf who'd bitten him and murdering him in vengeance. He never succeeded in this goal, and the failure drove him more and more insane. Hector became a hermit, living on the outskirts of villages and stealing to survive.

xxxEXPANSIONxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

spaceHector never intended for there to be a 'pack', and indeed, never gave his pack a proper name. His slipping sanity led to many mistakes, until he had amassed a large pack, not even counting the people he bit and was never able to find afterwards. Some members of the pack expressed concerns that he should turn himself in to the ministry, or at least accept a wolfsbane potion, but he refused at all turns for reasons he could never truly explain, or even understand himself.

spaceEventually, Hector went too far for one of the newest members of his pack. Lachlan Kerr had joined so that he could be with Lucy, but didn't take very well to the pack dynamics. The next attack after his own, on another young girl, was the final straw for him. He challenged Hector for control of the pack. The fight was long, and Hector thought he had the upperhand. Lachlan was young, and made many foolish mistakes. But, it turned out that the younger werewolf was just waiting him out, dragging the fight out so that he would lose energy. Close to dawn, it was obvious who had won. Hector awaited the final blow, but Lachlan refrained, not wanting to start his ownership of the pack off with the murder of a 'crazy old man.'

spaceIt was a mistake to let Hector live; the following full moon, as the pack split off into their separate hunting pairs, Hector began stalking the more vulnerable members of the pack. He murdered five in cold blood before Lachlan got to him, and the pair fought until dawn once again. This time, the sun rose, and human once again, Lachlan had no trouble finishing Hector off once and for all.

spaceFollowing the death of the former Alpha, three members of the pack left, disliking the new rules being imposed on them by Lachlan. They had rather liked being able to do as they pleased in wolf form, and resented being expected to control themselves for the good of others. Lachlan let them go, but told them that if he ever found out they'd done anything to betray the pack, he would kill them. Following this, he left anonymous tips at the ministry; the three were picked up shortly after. He doesn't know what happened to them after that, and moved his own pack far away from their original grounds to be sure that they wouldn't be found.

spaceLike his predecessor, Lachlan had no desire to expand the pack, at least not on purpose. He enforced new rules on the remaining members, and had the help of his new second-in-command Meuric to help, to minimize the danger the pack presented to others. Still, there were always mistakes made. Making the wolfsbane potion optional was a factor, obviously, but Lachlan insisted that if you were dumb enough to get in the middle of the pack's territory on a full moon, you were asking for it. He moved the pack frequently for their continued protection, and they built an odd family dynamic together. To date, the pack has five members, most other victims having chosen to go to the Ministry and register themselves.

- To join the Blood Oath Pack, you need to fill out the form below and post it to this thread. Pack members will get with you to set up the plot to join. Cara MiaKitty will write up and submit the plot request regardless of who is going to do the biting.
- Members are welcome to be bitten by the pack, and then choose to register with the Ministry rather than remaining part of the pack proper. However, they are not permitted to form their own packs, and will still be listed on this thread under 'former members'. Registered werewolves are required to take wolfsbane potions and may not bite other characters.
