"You know..." Nodi murmured as he watched the second set of visitors walk away from their home. "I'm starting to wonder what's going on that's causing that amount of traffic so quickly," he mused. The rabbit was understandably exaggerating, they had only had four visitors, but they had been in relatively quick succession. For a pride like the Schnee that was a touch unusual as they weren't exactly easy to access, one had to make a concerted effort to get up here and both parties had done so. More curiously, one of those parties seemed to have been tracking the other, or at least in the process of tracking them. He wasn't sure what to make of it, but he didn't really have anyone to ask at this precise moment in time either.

"Well I mean, didn't they just open those weird gates?" Ra mused. He wouldn't miss the pair of black lions, while the female had seemed all right, there was something about that male that hadn't sat well with him. Both Nodi and Ra had performed their duty well in ensuring that neither had entered the inner regions of the pride. Polite as they might have been, his instincts had been rather insistent on this one and he had decided they wouldn't be able to go near their most vulnerable members. Metis had been too difficult to read, Adrastea had been more open, and as such the tan male hadn't been prepared to gamble on that.

...Especially not when both have them had (awkwardly) fit the description of those Gus had described before. Oh he might have been able to hear and see them, but the teeth and the eyes had been undeniable, if the lion had been one to bet, this was something he might very well have gambled upon.

"Hm... No, I don't think he said they had opened them," the rabbit replied and tapped his cheek. "He said they remained closed, the fact that he was with Durama seemed to indicate that he was there as some sort of escort," he tilted his head to the side and pursed his lips. "You know, to make sure that the guy was heading to where he said he was and he wasn't about to do anything suspicious?" Nodi had always been inclined towards conspiracy theories but on this one, Ra was willing to buy in to it. They were clearly missing a part of the puzzle but on this occasion it was within their best interests to simply avoid worrying about it. All parties were now well on their way towards where they needed to go and what happened from there on was up to fate

Ra would, however, be sure to alert the council to the potential threat just so they could remain vigilant.

"Hmm," Ra sounded non-commital as he regarded the now quiet expanse. His gaze then turned towards the world below them and he lifted a brow. He wasn't going to risk speaking at a significant volume for now, the pair of black lions had already revealed why this would end poorly for him, but his companion did make a good point.

"They were a bit weird though, especially that male... Gus was nice."

"That male seems to know far more than he let's on," Ra warned and narrowed his eyes. "He knew we weren't telling the truth," he said and shook his head. He had been curious as to why the lion hadn't confronted them, but then again, it seemed the female had also known too. They had both been remarkably diplomatic in the face of two individuals who simply weren't going to play ball... Some wouldn't have been quite so understanding.

"We were telling the truth," Nodi snorted. "We just weren't giving them all of it," he pointed out.

"True," the tan lion agreed.

"I think they might have gotten what they needed too," Nodi murmured, his ears lowering to rest against his back. "Do you think the others will be all right?" he seemed genuinely concerned. Now that Ra had mentioned it, the pair had seemed remarkably perceptive and they had all the marks of individuals who were looking for something. Ra and Nodi may not have given them any real information, but there was nothing to reassure them that the pair of black lions hadn't been aware of details they weren't privy to. It was concerning for the rabbit to say the least.

"They found what they needed," Ra wasn't even going to pretend otherwise; that female had known what she was seeking, or at least she had some sort of idea. "But I have faith that Gus and Durama will be fine," he added and pursed his lips thoughtfully. "They got a significant head start and with any luck, they might have made it home by now," he pointed out. "That male looked strong but I don't think he's strong enough to take on an entire pride," he smiled wryly. Ah, but perhaps he was wrong and this individual possessed some sort of super power that would permit him to overwhelm his opponents... Fortunately, Ra was a realist in that respect.

Gus and Durama would be fine.

...What happened to the pair of black lions when they finally located them though, would remain to be seen.

Ra hadn't managed to gain much information on the Bahari and he doubted Nodi had either from their conversations with Durama, but the pair both hoped that the pride would be vigilant. All they knew at this point was that it was a rather welcoming pride, one that offered solace to those in need... whether or not Metis could exploit that remained to be seen. Regardless, there was nothing that either the lion or rabbit could do in this instance, so they really shouldn't worry about it, right?

"They'll be fine," Ra repeated after a few moments, more so to reassure himself than Nodi.

"Yeah..." Nodi agreed, though he wasn't entirely sold on it himself right now. Hopefully he would at least see Gus on his way home, they had left the option of a visit open for him when he retraced his steps towards those 'gates' of his, so maybe their concerns would be dispelled then...
