The Daily Dragon

The Daily Dragon is a school distributed newspaper written by the students for students, teachers, and whoever else would be willing to read it. It was first established many years ago by a pair of Ravenclaw sisters and has since handed itself down into different leaders and editors-in-chiefs. It is published every first and third Monday of the month and easily found in every common room as well as shoved into hands on the walk to or in the Great Hall.

Students Feared the Worst When Finding Out a Ghost Was Teaching Again by Conner Overton and Alana Rivero
"Because really, that worked out real well last time around." was one students thought when realizing their new Astronomy teacher was a specter. Or ghostly apparition for the undead conscious. [more on page 3]

Quidditch Cup To Be a Nail Biter! by Colton Overton and Ferdinand Delacroix
Despite its slight losing streak, Slytherin isn't letting itself be counted out yet and Gryffindor is attempting one of its many 'Cinderella seasons' (for more on the subject of the muggle fairy tale please skip to the third paragraph). [more on page 2]

New Advice For Those Who Oppose Fisticuffs by Minako Tanaka
Yes, I realize that rhymed, but what's more important is that the rate of how many fights are getting started within our school walls is rising at an almost alarming rate. That's why I've deemed it pertinent to share so quick tips as to how to avoid a situation before it turns violent. First tip; "When in a confrontation it's best to use your words not your fists" [more on page 3]

Cupid Sized Savings for Valentines! by Clara Bautista
For those who want to get a head start-or more importantly for those who just plain forgot!-there are numerous sales happening in Hogsmeade in preparation for Valentines Day. The most obvious being the two-for-two chocolates sale in Honeydukes.[more on page 4]

Dueling Open to All Students! by Darrell Cherri and Clara Bautista
Despite what many students might believe, the Hogwarts Dueling Club is open to all students, including first years. "It's a really fun club!" one such first year exclaimed when we sat down for an interview. "I mean, there's not much you can do besides watch but boy, is that exciting! Last year we were hit with a storm of artwork gracing the Hogwarts walls being discovered at random by students, professors, and ghosts alike. Many students enjoyed viewing the pictures on their way to class while others were not so enthused. But the main topic of the day though is that the artist has seemingly vanished as quickly as he appeared. "They should've at least left a goodbye or something! Hufflepuff Protest Whomping Willow Climb by Clara Bautista and Connor Overton
There was an increasingly large number of Hufflepuff students protesting by the whomping willow. When asked, they said a wood nymph told them the whomping willow didn’t like to be climbed on. “It’s not like the whomping willow can speak for itself.
