The lower caverns was one of the places Henwas spent a lot of his time, especially when he was meeting with his 'friends' as they handed over a share of some of the stuff they had taken or managed to sell. He was a manipulative and persuasive, so it was easy for him to create a group of loyal followers for he and his twin. Huarwar wasn't with him currently, the other was still busy with his chores, the candidatemaster did his best to separate the two of them, something that gained Henwas' disdain for the man.

"What have ya got?" His deep voice echoed in the caverns as he spoke to the three boys that were around him. They began to pull a couple of things out of their pockets, handing them to Henwas as they detailed a couple of their adventures, more to the others then to him. He was the 'boss' and didn't care about how they managed to get some of this stuff, all he cared about was the profits that came from them.

There was a glint in his eyes as a smirk formed on his lips, a cruel smile as he looked over the marks he had been handed. "Good job boys. This was a fi..." He cut himself off as he heard footsteps coming their way. In an instant the boys turned to move to either side of the hall, acting like they were busy as a figure came into view. Henwas watched the figure with calculating eyes, moving towards him after a moment, giving a small signal for the other three boys to stay where they were. "Are you lost, sir?" The man looked to be close to him in age, but Henwas was being polite and friendly, perhaps a bit too friendly, but unless you really knew it, there was no way to tell the difference.

I hope this is good. ^^
Edit: Just noticed I put the wrong character name in the title. It's fixed.

Finbar had, of course, completely ignored his captain's warning to remain where he was and wait for him to get out of the meeting. The moment Cal was out of sight, he slipped the watch of the rider with them and took off wandering around the Weyr. He was hoping he might spot Kath or Alcareth around so he could say hello, but really he was just excited to see more of the place he'd been curious about for so long. Taking a turn down a tunnel, he found himself in a large cavern. He scanned the room for a moment as his eyes adjusted to the dim light, watching the trio of boys before one of them seemed to notice him and walked over.

He considered the question briefly without answering. If he said he was lost, the next question would probably be where was he trying to go. And given that he didn't have a direction, it was probably best not to say he was lost. He was enjoying just looking around, but he didn't know how much free reign a visitor like him had to wander. On the other hand, if he happened to be somewhere he wasn't supposed to, he still wanted to be able to use that excuse later. Do instead he just lifted his shoulders and ignored the question, looking around the hall instead. It was interesting how everything was underground here. There were dragon weyrs cut into the cove wall where he lived, but most of their other spaces- dining halls, barracks, shipyard, were ordinary buildings made of stone.

He looked back at the boy who had spoken to him. If he said anything in the meantime, he'd missed it. "Are you a dragon rider?" he asked him curiously. He only looked about the same she as Finbar himself, but Neri and the others were younger than him when they impressed.

Watching the other man, Henwas was constantly using his mind to figure out what this guy was doing. He ignored his question easily enough and Henwas smirked inwardly, glad he wasn't wearing anything that showed what rank he was. Straightening up to his full height, which was impressive for the 19 turn old, he moved over to Finbar with confidence, his friends slowly circling closer like predators.

"Yeah. I'm a dragon rider. I was down here overseeing these two candidate's as they changed out the glows." He motioned to his two friends who didn't seem to mind being used in this way. "So, how can I help you, sir?" There was a slight lilt to how he said sir, as if it was in an aggressive manner, but everything else about him, body language and otherwise, was calm and open.

I promise he's not trying to be rude, lol. But this is what I mean when I say he has issues with authorithy xP /Selective deafness

Finbar grinned at the man's reply. It didn't occur to him to be suspicious of Henwas's statement, or that fact that he wasn't wearing any knots. Even if he had been, it's not like Finbar would have known what they meant. Glancing at the two men standing by, he only caught part of the second sentence.. Something about glows. That wasn't what interested him anyways. "Cool. What color's your dragon?" he asked, ignoring his question again and hoping Henwas wouldn't notice. He was still working on a believable excuse for what he was doing down here. Maybe he could say he was chasing his firelizard...

Despite his ease at the start of the conversation, Finbar was starting to get a little uncomfortable with the sudden attention. While usually reticent around strangers, he hadn't minded interacting with dragon riders in the past, though, admittedly, he was mostly interacting with the dragons (albeit through their riders). But with this man's dragon no where in sight, the conversation ran a little flat. He shrunk back a step when the man straightened up to his full height, suddenly very aware (if only on a subconscious level) of the fact that he was outnumbered.

He glanced back down the tunnel he'd come from, his intuition and natural lack of trust in people sending out warning signals that maybe he should get out of there. "Er.. Actually, I'm looking for the Weyrbowl." he said, backtracking from his previous glossing over the question. "Where is that?"

Henwas watched the other man closely, having gotten a bit of a feel for him already. Of course the body language he was reading seemed to suggest the man wasn't really paying attention to what he was saying. Then he asked about a dragon, what color his dragon was. The man straightened up with what would have looked like pride, as he tried to figure out how to best answer this. Saying he rode a bronze might bring too much attention, besides he didn't' really want a bronze anyways, anything to keep him separate from the man who killed his father and his stupid half-brother. "A blue. Sidoth is back at my weyr." All lies, it was so easy for him to spread these lies of course, no one could seem to see through them because of how well he weaved them.

There was a change in the man that Henwas noticed, a shifting that was done that signaled he was growing uncomfortable. If that was the case, he was probably going to need to act a bit quicker then he was originally planning on. There was a subtle nod to one of his 'friends' and the man moved a little behind Finbar. "I can lead you to the weyrbowl if you wish. It's back this way." He pointed towards a hall that lead off towards their right, he was hoping the man was just as bad as directions as he was getting the feeling for. The man was a stranger, a trader perhaps so he had to have something that could be taken from him.

Henwas waited for the man to reply, keeping an eye on his friends, making sure they were ready to jump when the time came.

Don't worry. Henwas doesn't really care, he was planning on harming him anyways. lol.

Finbar glanced towards the tunnel to the right and back at Henwas somewhat dubiously. He was beginning to wonder if he could really trust what he was saying, though he didn't really have a good reason for thinking that. Nothing that he'd said seemed obviously false, and he couldn't think of any reason why he would lie, but still there was... something. Running like an undercurrent through their conversation, something like that back-of-the-neck, hair-standing-on-end feeling of when you just knew something wasn't right, that made him not quite trust him.

But it was rude to ask and then ignore him out right. Even Finbar knew that much. He glanced towards the tunnel again, really doubting that it led to the Weyrbowl now, though there wasn't much he could do but take it anyway. Maybe that was all this was. Just a prank on a dumb outsider.. So they could laugh as got himself lost inside the winding tunnels. He kind of hoped so.

"I can find it." he said, dismissing Henwas's offer, a little less friendly than his tone had been previously. He skirted around to the right to avoid the one that had come up behind him and tried to get around them, though he was anxious not to turn his back to them.

Great. Something had spooked his prey and it was wanting to get away. His eyes flickered over to his friends who did nothing but wait and Henwas let out a soft sigh. He was really hoping to not have to do this but he supposed it was time to get to the punch, so to speak.

The two others moved closer, keeping Finbar from getting past them as Henwas moved forward. "We can't have you running around not knowing where you are going, sir. Whose to say you aren't going to try and steal something from the weyr." His voice had changed a bit, getting deeper in away as he had finally given up on playing nice. "It really isn't safe down here either. So many twists and turns, so many places to get lost if you don't know where you are going." He chuckled. "You might not even be able to find your way out." Maybe it wasn't that much of a maze but he didn't know if this man knew that or not.

In one quick movement the two behind Finbar pushed him forward towards Henwas and he grabbed the man's shirt front, a smirk on his features. "I'm sorry about this." A pause as he chuckled a bit. "Well, actually, no I don't think I am." He laughed as he pushed Finbar back and his friends grabbed him, holding his arms to keep him from getting away and Henwas stepped forward and then took a swing.

Finbar paused when the two blocked his path, looking back at Henwas. Honestly, he felt like he'd rather take his chances with the maze, but it seemed like they aren't going to let him go either way, so he stopped for now. "I'm not stealing anything." he said, his expression setting in annoyance. What was he even saying? He tried to guess what they were after, but he'd never been good at reading people.

Whatever he was expecting, he was still caught by surprise when he was suddenly pushed forward towards the other young man. He couldn't hear the two moving behind him, and with his focus on Henwas, he'd forgotten to keep track of where they were. Before he had time to catch his balance, her was roughly pushed back towards the other two. He tried to twist out their grasp, wrenching his arms back and struggling. But once it was clear that it wouldn't work, he went still again.

Fortunately, if there was one thing he was good at, it was taking a hit. He closed his jaw as the fist connected with the side of his head. His ears rang, drowning out what little remained of his hearing. He glared at the ring leader, any pretense of friendship gone. "What do you want?" he asked angrily.
