πΌππ πππ€π€πππ β βββββββββββββββββββββββββββββ£ It seemed everything had gone right for Eko yesterday. The sub hadn't been harsh on him, which was always good. Eko didn't exactly give off a "not easily intimidated" or "calm" demeanor, in fact, just by seeing him for moments you could likely tell he was a shy, nervous, and jumpy boy. He was always being startled by the slightest things, the creak of a door, footsteps, things people in their everyday lives didn't acknowledge. But Eko did. He had to. Acknowledging things was something he had to do, it was part of him. The boy had still yet to fully control what he reacted too, and he probably never would. But one could hope.
Eko once again found himself walking quickly down the mostly-deserted halls of the Grand Academy, hugging himself. He had a long and loose sleeved, light pink shirt on, and it also had a hood. Why pink? Eko had not a single idea. He'd just always liked the color. "But it's girly!" and "Only girls wear pink!" were two very common remarks he'd received. He didn't have the will nor energy to defend himself, he couldn't focus on the speaker, much less the words coming out of either of their mouths.
Eko finally made it to the familiar door that belonged to the Beginner's Combat room, but then stopped. If Myrddin wasn't there, then who'd be subbing? The same one or a new substitute? Eko took a deep breath, wiping his sweaty palms on his pants, before he opened the door.
[ Enter Eko to the Beginner's Combat Classroom ]
Immediately his eyes began to dart around the room, seeming to move of their own accord. They landed on a woman, a pretty one at that, and lingered just enough for Eko to process her appearance. A shifter, he immediately recognized, as she had two furry, black ears on top of her head. She had black, dark hair, and very dark eyes as well. She wore a green outfit accompanied by a fluffy white cloak, and was holding a halberd.
"U-Uh... H-Hell-Hi?" Eko waved a shaking hand slightly at her, and he tried with all his might to stay focused on the ground, to not overwhelm himself. β βββββββββββββββββββββββββββββ£ π¨ππ₯π: πππ£π£πͺπππ: Nothing π π¦π₯πππ₯: See postie~ πππππππ: Nervous π¨πππ£π: π π π: ~~~

Nora looked around at the nearby doors before glancing back down at the parchment she had written her classes on. Coming through the door and glancing around her, Nora saw there weren't many people here yet. "I must be early." She decided as she folded up the parchment and placed it in her bag. Waving to the teacher another girl with pink hair with a smile, Nora took a seat towards the middle of the room. Setting her bag down and stretching her legs she began to wonder what this class would be like. "What kinds of weapons will we be using? Or will we focus on using our raiments?" The possibilities swirled inside her mind while she waited for class to start. A hint of a smile played on her lips as her excitement only grew with each passing minute.

ββββββββββββββββββββ [ - Enter for New RP Day - ]
Gin trotted into class with a wide, wolfish grin. In his fully shifted animal form, he was a larger than life black and silver wolf that turned heads wherever he went. Descending the steps, he headed straight for Leo. The two had met a handful of times over the summer to talk about the class and what she expected of him for the year. Like Ven, Leo just wanted a hand with the students from time to time, nothing too fancy.
Approaching the Beginnerβs Combat Professor, Gin gave Leo a deep huff of hello as he curled around her legs and brushed his head against her hand for a light scratch. Once he was satisfied, he moved to her side and shifted back into his fully human form. Crossing his arms over his chest, he looked toward Leo with an amused smirk.
βMorning, Leo. Seems like the students are moving slowly todayβ¦β With only two students present, one of which was more interested in her book than the actual class, he could tell that this year was going to be an interesting one. Somehow, he saw himself as taking on the role of βenforcerβ while Leo would take on the funer roleβ¦Not that he had a problem with that; he didnβt care what the students thought about him.
Gin gave the stragglers a few minutes to trickle in before he looked to Leo. ββBout ready to start?β When Leon acknowledged that she was ready, Gin gave her a playful smirk and a nod. Clapping his hands together once, loudly he rubbed his palms together with a devilish grin.
βGood morning, Ladies! For those of you that donβt know me, Iβm Gin, and Iβll be assisting the lovely Professor Aecheson as her Teaching Assistant. This essentially means that I get to boss you around and get my hands dirty.β Gin said with another wolfish grin.
βIβm assuming that both of you are no strangers to working up a sweat, since this is a combat class. Unlike some Professors and TAβs, Leonora and I like a more hands on approach. So! Weβre gonna start off the day with some warm-ups and then get into the nitty gritty. So Books down,β Gin said, giving Camilla a pointed look until she complied, βand get up! Weβre going outside!β That being said, Gin looked to Leo and gave her a wink and a smile before leading the way out into the training yard.

Tala Maxwell ~ Entering Beginner's Combat ~ Being first to class seemed to be a curse, but with the subconscious need to get there before the rush it wasn't something out of the ordinary... Tala had to admit though, he wasn't exceptionally eager to actually get too involved... With the new year, there were new students - He'd started getting used to sparring with Ivar, the male had been patient with his...issues, but now that he was gone, the Shadowmancer had to admit, he was a little nervous.
Having been practicing, the Elementor's attacks with Shadow Weapons were now able to break the skin - and although it was no more than something similar to a cardboard cut, it would still cause a bleed - not that he'd really tested it on anyone just yet... The other bonus to practicing was that he was now able to create larger Creatures which, like his weapons, were able to deliver a more noticeable bite - He still had a lot of work to do though as his beasties bites were nothing more than that of a young cub - enough to break the skin, but not enough to cause lasting damage...
It would seem as though today of all days, he was actually quite tardy...Approaching the door just in time to overhear Gin's voice announce that they were actually going outside... He swallowed hard at this and stepped back as the Wolf Shifter took the lead, exiting the classroom no doubt in the direction of the Training Yard...
Being the way he was, the Shadowmancer would hold back a little, waiting until the short line of students had passed him by before following at a close distance... One of the females had been in his Elementor Class, she'd seemed quite excited, which didn't help his nerves... Another, Camilla, he'd shared a class with before - he was almost certain she'd been quite knowledgeable when it came to dealing with a target...and that certainly didn't help him feel any better... Still, if Gin hadn't seen him, he'd certainly have picked up his scent...which mean Tala had little to no chance of ducking out...

Tala Maxwell ~ Entering Beginner's Combat ~ What was there to say? If he didn't want to be dropped from the class and perhaps anger the old Witch who had suggested he join and better himself in the first place, then Tala knew he had to show willing...even if the thought of another close-combat interaction with another living scared the heck out of him...
Having spent much of the previous day psyching himself up for the next lesson, Tala had set off from his Dorm Room early - hoping to get there before anyone else so that he could at least say he showed up and then perhaps slip away before anyone turned up... If he'd gotten the right location in the first place? His mind still drifted back to the last session when he'd arrived just in time to see the others departing for the training grounds...Having been spotted, there was no way of backing out - even if he'd perhaps jumped into a hedge en-route... What got him so worked up? He hated the tenseness that pulled at his nerves each and every time there was the risk of getting too close, but if he actually thought about it, he hadn't exactly done so badly...
The game of tag hadn't killed him, Eko hadn't exactly been as heavy-handed as the youths whom he'd crossed paths with back home - and then there was fact he'd, well...Hugged Eyrli... What was he thinking? But again, it hadn't harmed him in any way, but still he felt tense, his heart pounding as he found the handle to the door before pushing his way into the room...
To his relief, the Combat Class was empty, but he knew it wouldn't be for long... Sliding his bag from his back, he made his way over to a seat by the window - the one that overlooked one of the training yards - and sat down.
How long should he give it? Five Minutes? Ten...? Fifteen minutes with a no-show either meant that nobody was turning up...or that he'd messed up again and they'd already left... Either way, the Shadowmancer knew he had to wait and so to pass the time, he would reach into his backpack and get out his drawing equipment...anything to take his mind off whatever the tutor might have planned for that day...

Tala Maxwell ~ Entering Beginner's Combat ~ The last thing Tala had expected to see that morning was a large, black cat as it rushed in through the open door - it looked as though it had been running and had he not been acclimatised to Shifters, he might just have gone for his nearest weapon and prepared to defend himself... Instead though, he lifted his gaze from his art-pad and watched as the creature made its way around to the front of the class and transformed, returning to her human form to reveal the Tailor and Combat tutor, Leonora.
As she advanced, his eyes would watch her closely, softening slightly as she approached with a friendly smile - something he seemed to see only rarely lately? "My name?" he would raise an eyebrow at her question before remembering he hadn't exactly been there at the introduction - at this realisation, he would nod, "It's Tala," he would reflect her smile back at her - albeit not as strongly, but it was an attempt, "It's nice to know I'm not late this time..." his eyes would glance off to the side, a little disappointed that one of the Tutors had turned up, but it was clearly meant to be...
"...Any idea what we might be doing...?" he hoped it wouldn't be anything as 'close' as the last lesson, but that also couldn't be helped...if he was going to get a handle on his phobia, then this was the best place for it...

(Nora enters Beginner's Combat) Nora jogged most of the way to her next class and was out of breath and sweating when she reached the door. Wiping her hand against her forehead to remove the sweat that accumulated there as she caught her breath, she stepped into the room to see the teacher and only one other student. "Huh," Nora thought with a slight tilt of her head. "I guess everyone must be running late today." Walking up towards her teacher as she conversed with the other student, she waited for them to finish speaking before she bowed to her. "I'm sorry for being late. It won't happen again, ma'am." Despite being somewhat out of breath, her voice sounded pretty even to her. Dusting off her shorts as she took a seat and waited for the rest of the students, Nora couldn't help but hope they'd be getting a little bit more physical today than the last one. The game of tag was fun and all, but she'd rather test her combat skills against her fellow classmates to get a taste of what they were capable of in order for her to learn and get stronger.

ββββββββββββββββββββ [ - Begin Interaction for RP New Day - ]
If there was ever a doubt that Gin had abandoned his grumpy attitude from last year, they were chucked out the window the moment he walked into the Beginnerβs Combat Class. With his hood pulled up over his hair, his ears poking out of the slitted holes, his hands tucked into his pockets, his shoulders hunched forward and a scowl on his face, he was the very definition of a grumpy wolf. After returning home the night before, he hadnβt had a chance to talk to Gianna. She and Ven had opted to spend the evening out, which they totally deserved, but it meant that he had to spend another night knowing that his adoptive mother was upset with him. This led to him not sleeping very well, tossing and turning all nightβ¦When he had eventually awoken (after finally falling asleep), it had been to discover that he was late for class. Not the best way to start a day. Therefore, his attitude, as rotten as it was, was in his mind warranted.
Approaching the front of the class, he took the seat off to the side, and sat down with a huff. Leaning his head back against the wall, he didnβt say anything to anyone, not even Leo, whom he knew deserved at least an apology for his tardiness. Considering how empty the classroom was, he knew there were two plausible reasons. Reason number one, and the more unlikely option, everyone was late. Reason number two, and the one he was betting on, after the first initial - chaotic - class many of the students had dropped the elective. Hardly caring which was the correct answer, Gin released a sigh and closed his eyes. He wasnβt in the mood to be βteacherlyβ, and because he knew that Leo didnβt expect him to lead every class, he closed his eyes and settled in. Hopefully he wouldnβt be expected to do anything too strenuous for the dayβ¦
