xxx𝒞𝒽𝒾𝓁𝒹𝒽𝑜𝑜𝒹xxx Awstin was born to a wealthy Pureblood family, one that really didn't care for children. His parents, Langston and Maria, often ignored him, leaving him with their family's house elf for tutelage and general care. He would often go weeks without ever seeing his parents, and he thought it was perfectly normal. When he was eight, the family's eldest House Elf sadly passed, and he was pushed to work with another elf, one that didn't so much like him. His father got scolded at work, after Awstin accidentally said something rude in French to a diplomat from the French Ministry. That was the first time he'd ever seen his father drunk, and the first time he'd ever been beaten. Luckily, his grandmother was there to mend him up and hide him, but it wasn't long before the elderly woman fell ill and herself perished. This infuriated Langston, and he went out of his way to take out his grief on his wife and son. Maria, who was better at magic, defeated Langston in a duel, then she left, not bothering to take Awstin with her. Instead, he was forced to live like the house elves, except on the rare occasion his father wanted to look good in front of his coworkers. On his eleventh birthday, he was lucky enough to receive a letter to Hogwarts, and he knew he'd have a place to be free from his father's anger.
xxx𝒮𝒸𝒽𝑜𝑜𝓁 𝒴𝑒𝒶𝓇𝓈xxx In school, he made a friend, but the two drifted apart just as quickly as they'd met. Aswtin spent most of his time alone, trying to make friends, even though it seemed like no one wanted to talk. In his third year, he made a desperate attempt to appease his father by taking every class Hogwarts had to offer. Unfortunately, the classes were quite a bit harder to juggle than he'd thought, and unfortunately for Awstin, it showed in his grades. As he tried to prove himself to his father, Aws' mental state slipped, the boy throwing himself deeper to try and prove his worth. It all came to a head when his OWL grades returned, showing that he didn't have top-notch grades. Langston, who was quite angry by his son's attempt to hide this information, tried to beat Awstin. Unfortunately, in an act of desperation, Awstin grabbed a knife from the kitchen and stabbed his father to death. All summer he faced the news, before finally the Wizengamot determined he had acted in self-defense. Either way, his name was sullied, so he dropped out of school and moved in with a very nice family who had offered to show him their ways...
xxx𝒜𝒹𝓊𝓁𝓉𝒽𝑜𝑜𝒹xxx As Awstin slipped into adulthood, he became less tolerant of people who dared abuse their kids. Very subtly, he killed a few men he deemed "deserving" of their treatment, including the father of one of his former friends. Since he largely stayed out of the news, not much was done to pin blame on him for those various crimes. It wasn't until a few years later when he'd found his own little shack to live in and make a home of sorts that he tried to fight his demons and stop killing. ..... Until a man came into his life, offering to teach him the ways of the world. Most of his talks were that of heroics, claiming himself and Awstin to be ridding the world of evil. Awstin believed every single word. So when one day the man gave Awstin a list of people to kill, the younger man simply accepted that these people must be evil. They went to a fancy party and Awstin tried to be subtle about killing those listed, but then everything got out of hand as a house fire raged. He was rescued along with a bunch of kids, all of whom seemed to like him (without knowing his crimes, probably). He led them back to safety, then vanished into the crowd to try and find his way back home.
The next few years, Awstin just tried to stay under the radar. He seldom left his house until his name sprouted back into the news, tied with allegations of murdering his uncle. He sneaked into his childhood home, just long enough to explain to his baby cousin that he wouldn't ever have committed the crime. Unfortunately, his aunt caught him, and he nearly got arrested, if not for his childhood secret hiding place, tucked up under the house. When the coast was clear, Awstin left to go back home.
The next year, his family name broke headlines once more, this time for his aunt, who had apparently killed her husband... and who murdered Awstin's mom. As much as Awstin wanted to be there for little Lem, he knew his cousin would be better off raised by the nice people at Wool's.... even if it broke his heart.

xxxxx⇾Pᴇssɪᴍɪsᴛɪᴄ: Nothing good ever comes from the Tittensor family. That’s what he grew up hearing. He could clearly never be enough, even if he tried to defy expectations.
xxxxx⇾Tʜᴏᴜɢʜᴛғᴜʟ: Spending time isolated, Lem spent most of his time trapped deep into his thoughts. He read books, studied manuals, learned all he could so at least his thoughts might be a happy place.

xxx𝒞𝒽𝒾𝓁𝒹𝒽𝑜𝑜𝒹xxx Lem used to be a bright, happy kid, but his cousin’s decreasing reputation shined negatively on the family. As he grew up, none of the other kids that had heard his name wanted to be near him, thinking he was also a nutjob waiting for any trigger to snap. Despite his parents encouraging the good things about their family (of which there weren’t many), Lem was hurt by the others’ reactions of him. Years of isolation and paranoia warped him into a sad, lonely child. His parents thought he’d be delighted to get his letter to Hogwarts, but it just made him more upset, knowing he’d be tormented without fail.
xxx𝒮𝒸𝒽𝑜𝑜𝓁 𝒴𝑒𝒶𝓇𝓈xxx First year started out well enough, though Lem had been reluctant to make friends, or even discuss his family name with anyone. Unfortunately, that winter, he went home to find his father stabbed to death in the kitchen, reminiscent of how his uncle had been murdered. Their family was back in the spotlight, and the aurors had even asked if he had done it. His mom denied everything, and the blame was placed on Awstin once more.
That night, after everything had died down, Awstin showed up in Lem's window, saying he hadn't committed the crime, nor would he. Apparently he rather liked Carlisle. As Lem was starting to agree, mum popped in and called the aurors. Somehow, some way, Awstin managed to escape. Lem went back to school, doing everything he could to avoid people. He couldn't stand the rumors flying around about him. One of their roommates even asked to switch to the other first year dorm, saying they were afraid of being stabbed.
One of the roommates, Robin, tried to befriend Lem, but based on last name, they were part of the Winchester family, whom Awstin had been part of a massacre of their family. He managed to move through school, always in the shadows.... until the summer after his third year. Mom hadn't met him at the platform, so he flooed home alone... just in time to find his mother stabbing his aunt to death. He quietly flooed off, summoning the aurors to the Tittensor Manor once more.
This time, his mum was arrested and charged with murders of both Carlisle and Maria. Lem asked what would happen, with no more family to turn to, and the lawyer helping him said he'd have to move into Wool's orphanage. Luckily, Robin's family took Lem in for the duration of the trials and court dates, before helping him officially move to the orphanage. Luckily, one of Lem's friends lived there too, so at least he wasn't alone...
At least for a few weeks. One day that summer, Lem walked back into the shared bedroom, just in time to find a pool of blood on the floor, with a horrifying sight of a broken, torn apart body. After fetching the owners of Wool's, it was determined to be Angier's remains. Yet again, Lem was under the spotlight, but it was quickly proven it was a super messed up attempt at an animagus transformation.
Back at school, it seemed so many people were feeling the loss of Angier. Lem opened up with Robin, and they became far closer friends, even as Robin was trying to work through xer issues. Maybe, just maybe, Lem would be able to live a somewhat normal life soon.
