tab tab tab tab tab Patrick Lockheart has the ability to see and converse with those who have passed over into the afterlife. The Spirits do not have the ability to harm him alone and vice versa, yet some spirits such as Poltergeist can cause objects to move which may be used as weapons... If a Spirit does make physical contact, the one touched may feel a chill/shiver sensation. The advantages of his Raiment are obviously having the ability to negotiate with some spirits, although not all spirits are able to communicate and once they know you can see them, unless 'dispelled' or sent into the afterlife, they will often haunt the user until they can be vanquished...

Patrick has a Secondary Ability which allows him to link spiritually with Branwen - the White Raven - and only if she wills it, see the skies through her eyes, but this is on Her terms, not his.

Linking his Secondary Ability with his Raiment, Patrick uses Branwen as a conduit for helping those seeking to move on, to cross over into the afterlife - After negotiating with the spirits - or sometimes those leaving the terrestrial plane, he advises them to follow the Raven, watching as she takes off before occasionally witnessing the journey through his friend's eyes. When Patrick is 'with her' he often sits himself somewhere out of the way as watching 'alone' can leave him open to attack/assault.

              ↳ Control: 5
              1. Can see all Spirits as Orbs but cannot interact with them
              2. 'Orbs' now take a faint astral form, interaction is still unavailable, but both parties are now aware something else is within their presence.
              3. User and Entity are now aware of each other, Spirits begin to take on a more misty-like astral form, user cannot dispel them without aid or having assisted the entities themselves, but communication is now possible.
              4. Spirits are now more solid in their astral form. User is beginning to learn ways of how to 'help' some spirits and how to dispel weaker troublesome entities. User can now begin to focus on a particular spirit over the many.
              5. User can now 'tune out' some spirits, learning to hide himself from their eye so he is not harassed by the masses seeking his council. Now has a greater knowledge as to how to assist and can dispel entities of medium strength with assistance.
              6. With more Experience on assisting spirits, able to dispel/help Medium entities alone. Also more capable of tuning out unwanted spirits and hide himself better.
              7. Hiding his aura from spirits is much easier, user is able to differentiate between residual and intelligent entities, knowing what kinds of items/trinkets can be used to help dispel/dumb down both sorts.
              8. User is recognised among the spirits, but can be hard to find as now capable of shielding himself altogether. Able to assist/dispel stronger spirits, communication between entities is almost like conversing with any other living soul.
              9. Strong Entities are less of a challenge to dispel/assist, user has full knowledge as to how to deal with troublesome entities and can confidently assist those with lesser skills to improve. (Poltergeist will always be an issue, but the user knows how to deal with them confidently now)

              ↳ Range: 5
              1. Can only sense/see spirits in User's immediate area 1" Radius in person. Spirits are seen as Orbs when using "Shared Sight Union" (SSU) with Companion and take at least a week to recover from fully from after effects.
              2. 2" Radius in person - Using SSU, Spirits are faint, but noticeable and takes 6 days to recover
              3. 4" Radius in person - Using SSU, Spirits are more visible, Takes 5 days to recover,
              4. 6" Radius in person - Using SSU, Spirits are more frequent, seen as pale shades amongst normal folk, Takes 4 days to recover
              5. 8" Radius in person - Using SSU, Spirits appear as solid as normal folk, only with a noticeable aura. SSU Takes 3 days to recover
              6. 10" Radius in person. Can sense an area is inhabited by a spirit, but will not know exactly where - SSU Takes 2 days to recover
              7. 15" Radius in person. Can sense spirits lie in certain rooms as he passes them by, but cannot pinpoint directly - After effects from SSU are less frequent/take less time to recover.
              8. 20" Radius in person. Can tell which houses are haunted and a good idea which levels/rooms are inhabited - After effects from SSU are rare, but may occur if used more than twice in a day.
              9. 30" Radius in person. Can sense spirits but also knows how to 'turn it off' when needed. With Companion's assistance (using SSU) user is able to plot on a map where spirits are located - User is no longer affected by the union.

              ↳ Technique:
              1. User is like 'the new kid in school' nobody wants to talk to them, spirits just walk right on through, any attempt to make contact is ignored.
              2. 1/10 success at communicating with spirits, most continue about their business ignorant of the user. Contact is nothing more than a glimmer of interest but user is left quite drained afterwards.
              3. 3/10 successful attempts give the user enough confidence to try new things - contact is brief, but acknowledgement is obtained a small percentage of the time. User feels less drained, but still needs to rest afterwards.
              4. 5/10 attempts are successful, contact now lasts longer with the user able to begin trying to help, rest is still a necessity following interactions.
              5. Confident enough in the ability to try new methods of contact/conversation, interactions now allow for some negotiation/intelligent return. Contact requires less effort and so time required to rest afterwards is reduced. User needs to remain vigilant as new entities are not always pleasant. If a negative spirit is involved, the user needs to rest for a longer period afterwards.
              6. 7/10 attempts now successful, conversations now last longer and the user begins learning how to differentiate between positive and negative entities.
              7. 8/10 successful attempts, user now learns how to deal with positive and negative entities, how to approach/avoid them and how to preserve his energy. Can attempt contact with more than one spirit within the day but rest is compulsory if multiple contact is made.
              8. 9/10 successful attempts at contact, user is now more confident in telling the difference between positive and negative spirits, dealing with them accordingly whilst maintaining enough energy. Rest is still advised, but not necessary.
              9. User can make contact with any willing spirit, confident in dealing with any type of entity and coming to a positive outcome the majority of the time. Rest is no longer compulsory and multiple contacts can be made throughout the day if necessary.

Once the spirits have crossed over, he feels he will only ever meet them again when he finally moves into the afterlife himself.
tab tab tab tab Counselor to the Dead: When he's not recalling those who have passed, Rick is trying to work out how to help those trying to cross. The dead are almost always looking for a way tab tab tab tab across the bridge into the afterlife and so he acts as a counselor, listening to their tales in the hope that somehow he can find a way to assist in their passing.

Born to a family of travelers who originated from Langfrey, Patrick grew up along the Valor coastline, learning how to swim and hunt from an early age whilst helping his brothers haul in the nets so their family could eat. As they were always on the move, it was difficult for Rick to make many friends and so rather than hang out with his noisy brethren all the time, he often sought out the peace and solitude of the surrounding scenery and wandered off on his own to explore.

In the beginning, his family found it hard to define the youth's abilities and would become more perplexed when Patrick was discovered talking to himself, or generally disappearing off into his own world whilst staring out at the tide (Away with the faeries as his Uncle put it - which he kinda was.) It was presumed that after discovering a young, white, chick - a Raven barely hanging onto life and seemingly disowned by her family because of her colour - that he was in fact speaking to the bird, which, he was in a way - but this was only part of the story. Branwen (aka beautiful raven) when she recovered, became a close friend who would show him the world above - if he wished it - She would allow Rick to see the world through her eyes, yet it was at the Raven's choice not his and she could grant him such sights at her own will.

It was only after his Grandmother became sick and passed over that the rest of his family discovered that Patrick in fact had the ability to speak with those who had passed on - This would explain why he was often found alone, talking to himself. Although he has 'The Sight' very few spirits actually notice him and strike up a conversation which he doesn't mind at all.

After setting up camp along the shoreline of Valor, Patrick would leave his family for the day with the plan to find a good place to sit and watch the waves - it was as he was watching the ocean that he would spot an island in the distance - This Island was Eoana.

Naturally curious, he would ask Branwen to scout the scene, sitting back against the rocks to watch the advancing scene through her eyes - It seemed to be a fascinating place, but with the ocean separating them, the Raven would eventually turn back, landing on the rocks beside him and taking a moment to preen the sea air from her feathers.

It was from this initial glance that Patrick would become very interested in exploring this new island - After speaking to his uncle about it, the man agreed to find someone who would give him safe passage to the isle and from there, Patrick would enroll in the Academy.

This year will be his Second - After returning across the sea to visit his family as they once again relocated to that same cove, he would decide that The Academy was a place he wanted to stay and grow and so he has returned - With Branwen once again by his side.

2nd Time Skip - Rick Receives 2 Raiment Points which will be added to: Power (Making it 5's all round)

4th Time Skip, Patrick receives 66 = 1 Raiment Point Which will go into Control Increasing it to 6

EDITED: Graduate - Base Roll 66 + Bonus 25 given by Crew = Total of 91 = 1 Raiment Point and 1 Physical Point.

So the Additional Physical Point will go into Strength increasing it to 3
