◊ HONEST Even in death, Cain was always truthful. He would tell anyone the most painful truth straight to their face, and apologize afterwards if he hurt their feelings.
◊ OBSERVANT Cain is a wallflower nowadays, preferring to stay back and watch events unfold rather than taking action to change them. He is quick to notice things about people as well.
◊ OPTIMISTIC Cain always hopes for the best in any situation. After his death, he was continuously confident in his murderer's capture. Even as a ghost, he can still find something to smile about.

LIFETIME Cain was born to two loving parents, along with his twin brother, Abel. The pair were best friends, and loved each other like any brothers would. They would always play together. When the boys were five, nearly six, Abel's magic started to show. Their parents were so proud of him. Cain grew jealous. One day, he had a fit, stamping around like six year old's did when they were upset. Cain was crying, screaming horrible things at his brother, until their wooden blocks started to float and scatter across the room. One of them hit Abel in the head, knocking him over. The block hit him so hard that it knocked him out, leaving Cain huddled over his brother's body, scared and confused. Abel was rushed to the hospital, where he woke up just long enough to forgive his brother before he peacefully passed away. Cain was distraught, crying for his dead brother, apologizing over and over. After the event, Cain's mother couldn't stand to look at him, for he reminded her constantly that one of her boys was gone forever. She packed his bags and dropped him off at Wools Orphanage a few months after the funeral.
At the Orphanage, Cain met his new "family," which mostly was made up of other kids his age. Luke, Jer and Kenny were his new brothers, and he had sisters in Steffi and Aubrey. They all looked out for each other. Plus, they all had magic powers too, which was pretty cool in his opinion. While he was at the Orphanage, Cain secretly took his brother's name as his middle name, to honor him, and to also remind him of what he had done to end up there. Otherwise, he was a happy child, always looking out for his siblings, especially the younger ones.
At last, Cain was able to attend Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. He was sorted into Hufflepuff, while Aubrey was sorted into Slytherin, Luke and Steffi were sorted into Gryffindor. That was okay with him, though. He made a few other friends, and eventually joined the Quidditch team as a Chaser. He even was promoted to Prefect in his Fifth Year. Unfortunately, he would never see the end of that year. During Christmas break of that year, Cain was abducted, taken by Roald Bjelke. He was brutally tortured by the man, who eventually killed him in the Forest of Bowland.
POST MORTEM After his death, Cain's spirit refused to move on. He became a ghost, choosing to haunt the very forest where he died, hoping that one day, someone would capture his killer and bring him to justice. Even after the evil man took another boy, whom he failed to murder, and killed a woman who was so close to capturing him, Cain wanders the forest, alone.
Eventually, Cain met an old friend while wandering the forest. It was Luke, who was more than surprised to find him there, as a ghost nonetheless. They chatted for a while, but his adopted brother ended up going home, still confused. Cain wondered if he knew that it was none other than his own uncle that had murdered him. He didn't dare say it outright, not at that time. Regardless, he soon found himself invited to Luke's and Steffi's wedding, which was weird to say the least. He was the only ghost at the party, but most people didn't seem to mind his transparency, or his blood-stained attire.
However, eventually his past came back to haunt the family. His murderer apparently decided to come after those who Cain cared about. While he was not present for the events, he nevertheless heard about what happened, as well as the fate of his adopted father. As a result, Cain felt guilty as he never revealed who had killed him and therefore felt responsible for the deaths of all of Roald's victims beyond him.
