___WINTER SOLSTICE FEAST___
Every year, like clock work, humans from all walks of life gather here, in Eoana, for a grand event known as the Winter Solstice Festival. This event marks the shortest day of the year and the longest night. It is the mark of mid-winter, soon trees and flowers will blossom with spring. It is a joyful day to celebrate winters grasp or the sweet knowings that soon, it will be over.
By day, streets are packed with goodies to the rim. Vendors, merchants, and musicians fill the streets with their market. Bringing in fine wares from every part of the world. It is a day of celebration after all! Food from around the world, music just the same, everyone blissfully enjoying such a wonderful event.
By night however, is where the party begins. As the sun sets and the chill begins, fires are lit all around. Magical lights dangle from dried trees creating an ethereal world unlike any known. Much like the day decoration; the streets are filled with reds and golds, the same as night. Trails of red leafs weaved in with gold fabric. Decorated delightfully so.
As the fire ensues, so does the feast! A wide selection of foods, both classic and non, are placed on large tables all around. It is served much like a buffet. Help yourself, help others. Seated next to a friend or a stranger, it does not matter. You will meet those around the makeshift banquet hall and perhaps make a friend or two. So enjoy! Dig in.

While the citizens and students of Eoana meandered through the city square, enjoying the festivities and the like, one of the town officials approached the circular stage in the main square, accompanied by a pair of trumpeters in full festival regalia. Standing tall and proud, the city official waited until the trumpeters were in position before he gave them the signal to play their tune to draw everyone’s attention to him.
As the trumpets called out, heads turned towards the stage and conversations began to cease. The minstrels and dancers finished their performances and turned to look as well. Once the surrounding crowd was relatively silent, the city official smiled.
“Welcome one and all to the Winter Solstice Festival. I’m glad to see that we have such a great turn out this year! Please, continue to enjoy the festivities as you please. I am only here to announce that the Feast is ready! Please, when you are feeling hungry, make your way to the white tents where the tables have been set and the food laid out! There is plenty of space for everyone, please don’t be shy! Again, thank you all for coming! ENJOY THE FESTIVAL~!”
As the officials’ words rang out over the crowd, the people cheered and clapped happily, eager to seek out the tents to take their place at the tables to enjoy the food and drink. Moving off the stage, the official and his trumpeters walked through the crowd to make their way to the other sections of the city where the festival was in full swing. They would make the announcement several more times to alert everyone that the Feast had begun!

𝓚𝓲𝓼𝓼𝓪 𝓒𝓵𝓸𝓾𝓭𝓱𝓮𝓪𝓻𝓽 ╒═══════════════════════════════════╕ A loud announcement was heard throughout the market, officially starting the feast. Kissa's keen ears picked up the announcement being made in several areas in the square as she and Vana walked quickly to the tent.
"C'mon, Vana! We gotta get seats before they're gone!" She said, though Vana was already in tow. Weaving through the crowds, Kissa almost forgot that her friend had shorter legs and probably wasn't as fast as her. She slowed a bit after remembering this, but still went at a brisk pace.
-ENTER-
Kissa pulled Vana in through the tent entrance, and scanned the area. Long tables with all sorts of food laid out filled the tent, with seemingly infinite chairs beside them. The seats were filling with eager Eoana citizens, and Kissa saw a large bird on a plate somewhere on the table. "Over there!" She pointed. Pulling Vana along, the Princess pulled out a chair for Vana and then one for herself, taking a seat. She put her hand in the pocket of her purse, and thankfully the ring was still there. Kissa's heartbeat quickened. It was time. Kissa's cheeks began to turn red, and she squeezed her eyes shut. She put her two pointer fingers together in a tapping motion and said,
"V-Vana... C-can I a-a-ask you something?" ╘═══════════════════════════════════╛

"Can ya at least slow down, Kissa? Yer goin' as fast as a hog to a mudbath!" Vana proclaimed as she was yanked over to where the princess was going. Despite her size, she was quite the runner. It maybe was thanks in part to her shifter animal, added onto her already pretty strong frame. While the farm girl could keep up somewhat, every now and then her footing slipped and she was almost dragged through the ice cold pavement. Thankfully as they drew near, Kissa took mercy on Vana and slowed down so she could catch up with her. The feast tents were in sight and the two entered with great haste.
As the student entered the tent's interior, it appeared as if they were the first ones there. Lucky them! They had a pretty good amount of seats to choose one. It's not like Vana would realize that though, currently focusing on all the good food laid out before her. It honestly reminded her of the holidays back at home. She really missed her younger brothers. Hopefully they were doing alright. Kissa shouted over at a seat and before Vana could reply, she was whisked away yet again. When they got to the seats, she pulled out a chair for her. "Thank ya, Kissa. 'Preciate it." She said, her eyes followin the princess as she took her own fairly near hers. Her mouth was watering at all the food laid out for everyone. It truly was a great feast/ Vana was about to dig in prematurely before Kissa spoke up again, sounding quite troubled.
"Sure! You know ya can ask me anythang. We're friends, r-right?" She asked, looking towards Kissa. "Is somethin' wrong? Did I do somethin' again?"

𝓚𝓲𝓼𝓼𝓪 𝓒𝓵𝓸𝓾𝓭𝓱𝓮𝓪𝓻𝓽 ╒═══════════════════════════════════╕ Kissa hoped Vana didn't really think she did something wrong, though it seemed like it based on the response to get question. Vana was a really good friend to Kissa, and the Princess had developed a crush on the scarred farm girl. Unlike Vana, Kissa thought the country accent was really cute, along with virtually everything about Vana. From her scars to her personality, Kissa really liked Vana. More than liked. Loved, really. And Kissa was about to tell her. Ask her, more like. Trying not to think about she was doing, Kissa put her hand into her bag and pulled out the ring.
"W-will you be my... g-g-g-girlfriend?" She stammered. If it were possible, Kissa turned a deeper shade of red. She held out the ring to Vana nervously. ╘═══════════════════════════════════╛

Although Gin and Sokea hadn’t been together for very long, a matter of months to be exact, he’d begun to learn Sokea’s moods and his mannerisms. Everyone had ways of masking their emotions – for him, he used his grumpiness, his anger and his irritation to hide his feelings. For Sokea, he hid behind fake smiles, fluffy words and faux happy tones.
Frowning a bit, Gin held Sokea a bit closer, his ears down as he lightly nuzzled his neck. “If it isn’t delicious, we’ll go somewhere else until you’re satisfied.” Sokea’s happiness was always a priority. Even if Gin had to go to each food vendor at the festival to find something as delicious as Sokea’s grandmother’s cooking to make him smile, for real, then he would. Gin took a few more moments to cuddle Sokea before he reluctantly released him. “Come on, Sokea…Let’s go eat.”
[ - Exit Gin & Sokea to Winter Solstice Feast - ]
Seated beside one another, plates full of food, Gin had to hand it to whoever had cooked all this food, because it was delicious. While there were plenty of different foods to choose from, Gin’s plate mainly consisted of meats and a few dinner rolls. Gin was mainly a carnivore after all. He didn’t know if the food was as good as Sokea’s Grandmother’s, but he hoped that he was enjoying himself. Nudging him lightly, he leaned in to steal a piece of meat off Sokea’s plate. Popping it in his mouth, he smirked playfully. “Mmmm, delicious…What do you think?” Wrapping an arm around his shoulders Gin held him a bit closer, his tail wrapping around Sokea’s waist in a protective, comforting manner.
“If its not good enough, we can always go somewhere else and get you something even more delicious.” He just wanted to make Sokea smile…If the food didn’t do it, then the ring in his pocket sure would…

Kayl Ardrus De'Valaer
Probability || None... Enters from the Festival Grounds...
╔═══════════════════
"Typical…" Kayl answered while nodding almost sarcastically at Mihkail’s response. "Yeah we wouldn’t want that, don’t need to start a war by strangling the wrong person…" Kayl said jokingly as he followed Mihkail onto the feast grounds. Kayl’s eyes grew wide as they entered the main center square once more, where the feast tables and chairs and linings were placed. Just a short while before Kayl and Silme had passed by, taking a look at the subtle but beautiful art carvings in both wood and carved into the stone. It was surprising to see everything completely surrounded by tables and food. Looking around for a spot that wouldn’t inconvenience Lelyna, Kayl spotted an area near the end of the table where traffic wouldn’t disturb them, and where Lelyna could sit without worry. Taking the lead from Mihkail, Kayl led them to their seats, and like a gentleman pulled all of them out for everyone. He left the seating if the young lady to Mihkail, winking at Mihkail subtly before heading to one of the many tables plastered with food.
There was so much to choose from, Kayl was almost surprised at how many different dished there were. Taking a plate and scooping up a few different dishes, there were some that he had never seen before that were giving off a strong aroma. Even though there were some dishes that he definitely wanted, some of the ones he’d never seen before had a delicious enough aroma that he couldn’t help but take some to try, looking back at his shoulder, he wondered if Silme would like to try some of it as well, and looked around for some dishes that he thought she might enjoy. "Pssst, Silme, let me know if there is anything here that you would like to eat, it all looks delicious," He said quietly, so that only Silme could hear him. Kayl continued to gather a few more items for both Silme and himself before heading back to where Lelyna and Mikhail were. "This festival seems to be a hit, there were a lot of people eating and playing, I wonder how many of our fellow students managed to make it today," Kayl said while setting his plate down and sitting. Although Kayl was ready to begin eating, he continued to speak with his friends as they gathered their food, and opted to wait until they were seated and ready to eat before starting to eat himself, he knew he didn’t have to wait, but that’s just the way Kayl was…

[ - Enter Lelyna and Mikhail into the Winter Solstice feast -]
With her arm looped through Mikhail’s, the pair moved with the crowd toward the central part of the Market Square where tents and tables had been placed for the event. While she couldn’t see the splender, she could smell the delicious aromas of all the food that there was to offer. Mouth salivating and tummy grumbling, Lelyna held Mikhail’s arm a bit tighter whilst Kayl looked for a suitable place for them to sit.
The chatter amongst all the people was filled with excitement. Everyone seemed very happy with the way the festival was progressing, not to mention the free meal. From Lelyna’s understanding, the event was paid for through the taxes collected throughout the year. While much of the money went toward the city, paying for the guards that protected the, the general upkeep of the city, etc., a portion of the money was set aside for this very occasion. Lelyna liked that the City Officials had a mind to host such a grand celebration to boost everyone’s moral and give them something to look forward to during the cold months of winter.
With Mikhail’s guiding hand, Lelyna took her seat, only to smile as Mikhail pushed her chair in. Placing her hands upon the table, she felt around for the silverware and the glasses, so she would know where everything was located. Given the amount of noise and the sounds of people moving around her and the clanging of silverware, it seemed that the food was being served off to the sides. Frowning a bit, she had to wonder if Mikhail would mind making her a plate. She knew that if she attempted to try to make her own, she’d likely end up with foods that she didn’t particularly like, not to mention it would take her a great deal of time to move down the line and find her way back to her seat…
Leaning close to Mikhail, she kept her voice down, a bit embarrassed to ask him her question. “Mikhail…If it’s not too much of an inconvenience, would you mind making me a plate?” To her relief, he didn’t seem to mind at all. Placing a kiss upon his cheek, she settled back in her seat while he went to make them both plates of food. Like Kayl, she didn’t eat until they were all ready, with full plates in front of each of them. “I hope everything is as delicious as it smells…” Lelyna said happily as she grasped her fork and began to poke around her plate. Spearing a piece of duck on the end of her fork, she took the bite, her lips lifting in a smile as she chewed. “Mmmm, it's delicious!”
Lelyna couldn’t have asked for better company. The event was festive and fun, the feast even more so. The food was delicious and sitting here, sharing a meal with her friends, filled her with such happiness. Leaning close to Mikhail, she sighed happily, completely content. With her stomach full, she felt a bit sleepy and a little cold from being outside for so long, but she wasn’t going to tell Mikhail that. She wanted this to last for as long as possible.

Gin’s hopes of cheering up Sokea fluttered away as Sokea spoke. He was right, the feast food was good, but it wasn’t great. It was free, and yes it was festive, but that didn’t mean that it had sentimental value. At this point, Gin cooking him a steak would have more sentimental value than the feast food. Sighing, he pushed his own plate away, his ears flat against his head. The bop to his nose with the strawberry didn’t do much to brighten his outlook. This was supposed to be a fun event – it was Sokea’s birthday!
Growling a bit, Gin arose from his seat. Reaching down, he took Sokea’s hand and pulled him from his seat. Leading the way, he walked through the crowd and out of the tented area back toward the main festival area. Any protests from Sokea were ignored as he led the way out of the crowded, populated areas to some place where they could be alone.

𝓚𝓲𝓼𝓼𝓪 𝓒𝓵𝓸𝓾𝓭𝓱𝓮𝓪𝓻𝓽 ╒═══════════════════════════════════╕ Kissa was ecstatic to hear that Vana would be her girlfriend. He blush died down a bit, but it would hardly be noticeable. She looked at the table and she realized how hungry she was. Even though she had eaten a snack with Vana earlier, she was still starving. All sorts of foods even Kissa had never seen before covered the huge tables, and she wondered how they even got this much food here, or even paid for it. She looked at the food and said to her friend new girlfriend,
"Let's eat now, I'm starving." She examined the foods before her. Her nose picked up all sorts of delicious smells, so she grabbed the food that looked most appetizing and began eating. ╘═══════════════════════════════════╛
