[PRP] Quiet snowy day (Ujuzi and Akinyi)

Akinyi breathed in deeply the cold mountain air, she had recently joined the Tangambili and she hoped to make friends with a gather or a hunter soon so she could get them to bring her the things she needed to practice her skills as an artisan. Her own coat wasn't very thick so she really needed to make herself a covering since it was rather nippy in the mountains. She laid down on a blanket looking out at the Tangambili territory. She was happy to be here she felt like this was where the wind meant for her to land.

Ujuzi very rarely spoke, though she saw quite a lot. One had thought such a skill would mark her as a Scout for sure, yet she took on the rank of a Hunter. Now, since she had proven herself to be a skilled hunter time and time again, she began to pursue the position of a Lead Hunter. She never really called herself an ambitious sort, but if more canines could learn to lead a hunting party without the need for speech, then she was certain they could flourish as a whole.

To move without speaking as a group took a great deal of listening and focus many were unused to. Yet, she was certain that this ability would help others immensely, whether it be during a hunt or in need of battle. She shivered at the thought.

Upon that day, she was coming back from a hunt, hauling the carcass of a bongo. The forest gazelle was no match for her speed and snap bite. With her head held high, she almost missed her fellow pack member on the blanket, almost tripped over her and stumbled. Taking a few steps to the side to balance herself, she lay down her kill and stared inquisitively at the other. What was she doing here?

Akinyi looked at the Huntress and their kill it was a good kill and would make many lovely things if the hunter would allow her to clean and gather the mean and use the hide and bones for the pack. "Hello I am Akinyi, I am new to the pack I am an artisan if you would allow me I could harvest the meat for you and use the pelt to make a blanket for the pack. I am also able to use the bones to make many useful things the pride can use." Her tone was confident. She knew her skills and she was not afraid to share her knowledge and skills with the others in the pack. She was still new though and wanted a chance to prove she could do as she said she was able to do. She waited for the huntresses answer.

Ah, so this female was an Artisan? Ujuzi smiled at the other, before grabbing the bongo and moving it on the edge of the blanket the other had laid out. Ujuzi had the option to go back out hunting, of course, but she rarely found the time to do much else. Surely no one would bite her head off if she stayed to watch, right?

So, she settled down on the blanket across from the female and nodded to her. The prey beast was hers, so long as Ujuzi could stay and watch her process. Smiling at the other, she curled her tail towards her chest, lowered her gaze and introduced herself.

"Ujuzi." Before raising her gaze to the Artisan expectantly. What was her name? And how on earth did Artisans do what they did?

Akinyi smiled and grabbed her gear, first she got a clean cloth set up so she could cut open the animal and remove the meat without destroying the pelt. As she did that she put the meat on the clean cloth so she could get it to the hunter to take to the rest of the pack. Once she was done with that task she went about cleaning the skin and hanging it on a frame she already had in her home to start curing the pelt so it could be made into a blanket or clothing for someone in the pack.

She enjoyed the huntresses quiet company, she didn't interrupt or make a lot of sounds that otherwise would have been distracting, so that was helpful to what Akinyi was doing. A comfort without being a distraction. Once she had the skin set to cure. Akinyi went about the task of gathering the bones. First, she cleaned them, then she started to use a stone she had found and sharpened to shape the bones into things she wanted. In this case, she was making bone beads, she thought would be a fitting gift for the huntresses who had brought her, her first animal to work on.

Akinyi had been working and not paying attention to the other wild dog, when she was finished with her work they were gone and she had new things for the pack she was confused but she didn't seek them out. She had other work to do with other hunters, gathers, and artisans. She worked the rest of the day to make things for her new home so she would be warm and comfortable sleeping in the evenings she wasn't sure how she felt about the pack so far since she hadn't made any friends as of yet she was hopeful she would though.

Akinyi after a long day of work she went to her newly made home and went to bed, she needed to get food tomorrow and join life in the pack more truly. Perhaps she had herself on the edge of the pack and needed to be more forward with greeting and getting to know the others in the pack. She also wanted to find a male and have some pups. She smiled at the thought of lovely little pups that she could have in the pack and raise to be part of the pack. To build a home and family.

The next day she gathered some things and went hunting before she headed out into the rogue lands to seek a male to have pups with if she did she would still return to the pack with her new pups. If not she would still return to her new people and try again another day. She had a plan and she had a goal. She was annoyed that the hunter was still gone, perhaps they had abandoned the pack. She had been hopeful that she had made a friend but it seemed they actually did not care about her or the pack since they were nowhere to be found and Akinyi was alone once more. If she would a suitable male and had pups she would no longer be alone she would have the family she desired and she would be able to have all the love and cuddles she wanted.

Akinyi wandered the rogue lands, she hunted and rested as she needed to, she wasn't sure where she would go or what she would see. She wanted to find a proper male and hopefully not one too clingy unless they wished to join the pack. Since she wouldn't be leaving the pack. She would take her pups back to the pack and bring new life to the pack and perhaps teach them to become artisans like her. Unless that wasn't what they wanted to be. She wasn't the type to pressure her pups to follow the path of the wind that she desired. She was ready for her life's next chapter. She was ready and she was searching looking for what was meant to be in her life. She wondered what her mate would look like, and what the resulting pups would look like. She didn't really care what color they would be she would love them for who they were not the colors of their pelts. She found a watering hole and carefully made her way over to the edge watching for danger. It was not safe in the rogue lands. Which was why she had chosen a pack and would return to her pack soon.
