When Amadi had first come to the Mwezi'johari,he had been accompanied by his adopted daughter, Adaeze. They had been going to the Mwezi specifically because of the visions that Amadi had been receiving.
The sight of the moon, ever full, watching down upon him like an eye. They had hinted to others they had come across in their travels about the vision, without saying it was explicitly so and had come across the name the Mwezi'johari.
From the point that they had started to head towards the Mwezi, Amadi's visions of the moon grew ever stronger and when he got to the pride, he was accepted into the high class. Perhaps one of the most difficult choices of his life was joining the pride and leaving the side of his daughter, Adaeze. For she was a cheetah and while she was permitted to visit from time to time, she wasn't allowed to stay. Besides, she hadn't been having any of his visions,
saying that she felt as though a thick fog lay over her mind as they got closer to the Mwezi. A pity, he thought, but he sent her on her way, bit her farewell and they vowed that they would see each other again.
Since then, he had taken up the rank of a Lord so that he may get more acquainted with the pride. Its religion to the Great Lion intrigued him a great deal and he had set out to find out more about it. With such a religious group,
there ought to be a priest around somewhere, right? Maybe he could ask them and maybe that would lead to some explanation about what his visions had been telling him.
