History
Many, many generations ago, there was a now forgotten pride. This pride was tyrannical and torn apart constantly by internal conflict. It its lasty days, a brutal plague swept through the remaining population, killing everyone. There were only five survivors, weakened by disease. The five banded together to survive, relying on one another to live. The five became close, inseparable friends and when they were well enough to travel, the wandered the land for months. When they at last came across a vast unclaimed territory, they swore that together they would create a pride that would not be torn apart. They would create a pride made up of five equal parts and each part would honor a personality trait from each individual that had helped the group to survive. These five traits became the factions of the pride: the Strong, the Clever, the True, the Creative, and the Selfless. |

The Factions
Sterkur - The Strong
They believe that physical prowess is the best, honoring strength and agility. They make up the hunters, the warriors, and the guards of the pride.
Greindur - The Clever
Honor intelligence above everything. They make up the teachers, the historians, and the doctors of the pride.
Osvikinn - The True
Believe in honesty. They swear to only speak the truth. They make up the peace keepers, the lawmakers, and judge disputes and criminals.
Skapandi - The Creative
Believe in Imagination. They work as craftsman, storytellers, singers, dancers, and work as entertainers for the others.
Opekktur - The Selfless
Honor kindness. They abstain from greed and live in humility. They act as caretakers, farmers, gatherers, and serve the other factions. |
