Western Weyr Mini-Plot Update: 3574.01.24
Weather Report: Whiterider Zephyr and Lolianth are reporting in! This winter looks to be on the cooler side of things but that's common for this time of the Turn. Western Weyr itself looks to have highs dance between the 50s and 60s, though a few days and sevendays might hold closer to the 40s. There looks to be ample sunshine, and fair weather, with periodic rainfall happening before and after those dips of cold. Some of those storms can be heavy and drop a good chunk of water of the Western coast! Flash flooding can be a concern, and some mudslides in the mountains and hillier regions. It's possible some of the Weyr might be tapped to help search for survivors should any mudslides trigger near minor Holds.
Weyr Notices: R'mor and Hestina would like Western Weyr to be alert, and to avoid heading to High Reaches Weyr if possible. Their Northern Weyr is currently suffering a pandemic of illness. That said, there has been a slight uptick in seasonal flu this Turn! Keep yourself warm, get lots of rest, and don't push yourself to sickness.
If you're feeling under the weather alert your Wingleaders -- and if the riders won't do it, dragons are encouraged to speak up on their riders behalf!
Secondly, Black Sand's Hold is requesting a few watchriders to be placed at some of their islands. There have been some attacks by pirates, and they're hoping having some dragons to alert the Weyr of any need could help scare them off. The Hold itself is trying to work out a deal with Tillek getting some extra security, but until then, they'd like to lean on the Weyr while they can.
Any watchriders who see anything suspicious should report it directly to their Wingleaders, who can then report it to their Wingleaders as well as K'tos.
